Ithaca here just got the call an hour ago.  Didn't answer, they hung up on machine. They do seem to be going down a list.

We too live in Ithaca, and just received a call from this number at 11:50 AM today (two days after JG above).  When our phone rang with the 914-339-9708 caller ID, I answered, didn't hear an immediate response back, then hung up promptly (I have very little patience or tolerance for solicitation or potential scam phone calls of any sort).  Hence this organization appears to currently be working it's way through Ithaca, NY area phone listings.

We got a Yonkers call a little before 6 pm this evening but the line was deed when I said hello.  Probably they were calling several people at the same time.  They are moving all over the state.  We live in Ithaca, NY

I got a call from 914-339-9708 it says NOT IN USE in the caller id.  I did not pick up.  If it's something called NOT IN USE why would I want to speak with it...

5:35pm man said he was calling for NYS Troopers in regards to their Safe Driver Program - asked for a donation.  Knowing that law enforcement agencies do not make these kind of calls, I told hm I couldn't help.

I have received  4 calls from this number in the passed several days on my two  personal phone numbers. The caller Id  says State Troop.  Each time  the caller asks for my father who is deceased.  One call asked for my Mother who is also deceased.  I have reported it to Verizon, the NYS Trooper barracks in Cortlandt and the Federal Trade Commission .  I am tired of these scams from lowlives reporting to be organizations they are not.

He or they call me house three times a day, EVERY day, sometimes at 8 am.. lunchtime and also as late as 9 30 pm.. In the past 30 days they have called me 96 times... I really wish this hell would stop.. I take care of my elderly father who suffers from dementia and each time the phone rings it triggers a bad response in him.. it reminds him of his time in the military.. These calls must stop.. Please help silence these people they are ruining what little quality of life my 92 year old father and I have... thank you

called a couple times, hung up.  blocked number on service, then it was unblocked, so did it again.  why harass people?  get help

this number keeps calling me everydayand when i try calling back it give me a mailbox is full message.

Might be a professional  fund raiser calling on behalf of NY  State Trooper Benevolent Assn.  However, they would not tend to  hang up because they get a share of the funds raised. If interested,  call the NYS PBA and ask if they engage these services to raise money. - I believe the number is  serviced by Verizon. Calling Verizon might get yousatisfaction if they are violating some regulation.

Really kind of frightening.  Try to get the license number and call the local or state police.  Another person said he is a private investigator so probably has weapons. If you obtain plate. Post it.  Good luck

The ID said State Troop, did not pick it up.

Thank you. Still kind of scary.  If he is outside your house at night and as a PI probably armed.  Local Pd not overly concerned.  Does anyone have more info registration number would be nice.

Today received three calls from this number. Caller ID SAYS "Yonkers NY"  NO MESSAGE AND CANT RETURN CALLS AS MAILBOX IS FULL. IM CALLING THE LOCAL POLICE. IM NOT INVOLVED IN ANY LITIGATION OR WORKERS COMP P

calls all times of day.  Says it is from Yonkers.

Same thing happened here.  Been getting calls from (914) 339-9708 every day for the past week.  Monday through Friday there's been a white van parked on my street.  First day it was directly in front of my house and a Latino man was in the front passenger seat watching me as I left the house.  Thought it was weird but chalked it up to a neighbor having work done on the house. Subsequent days the van was either parked two houses away in either direction or across the street.  Hearing about people casing your house really wigs me out as I have 4 kids.  I'm calling the police tomorrow and reporting this.

I had seen a number of calls from this number in my phone log, tagged as "State Troopers", and found postings on this message board indicating this was a scam.  They called again this morning.  I picked up, and got the pitch about collecting for a DWI program.  I grilled they guy, just for fun.  Was he the police?  Was he officially representing the police?  How can I verify the legitimacy of his company, etc.   He told me that I was being rude and hung up.

In Westchester, got the same call with "State Troop" on the ID.  Man on the line asked for someone by name, who was not home, then just hung up.

I called the State Attorney General's office to report them. Was told to call the District Attorney's office. I did and am filing a complaint.

We need to stop this. It's annoying, creepy, criminal and they are either trying to get money or to case your home.

Report them and of course I am already on Do Not Call Registry, but it hasn't helped.

The New York State Police do not solicit money by phone. We received a call from the number tonight at 8:20 PM requesting money be donated for a DWI Program. This is a SCAM. Do not give them any information or any kind of donation. State Police are funded by taxes, not donations. You can register you phone number on Do Not Call Registry to help or even file complaint with Federal Trade Commission.

We get calls from this number frequently.  It shows up as Yonkers NY on caller ID.  They leave no message.  I called back and it tells me that their mailbox is full, therefore I cannot leave a message.
What in God's name do they want from us?!  This is getting really OLD!

So much for being on the 'do not call registry'  ~  that sucks when these jerks are still able to be such a nuisance!  GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Receiving nightly robo calls from 914 339 9708....called ID just says YONKERS. I answer, nobody says
a word....I hear sounds in the background but I wait and listen and don't talk...I hear a dial tone after a few
seconds.  I get a call like this from this number every few nights...I'm on the Do not call list...I keep
reporting this as a complaint...going on for months...won't stop!  I doubt the Do Not Call registry means
a thing...nobody has stopped these annoying calls!

Called me too and the number is my cell phone. No message just keeps calling. I am also on the no call list

I called out local state troopers and they said they do not solicit for money for fallen officers or to prevent drunk driving...I don't appreciate someone trying to scam me out of my hard earned money
