Brian Dawson and Kevin Foster from Law office of Baker and McKenzie(yeah right) called repeatedly.  Same story, police, arrest, court, owe $1500 will need to pay $8000.  Will be arrested in hour.  Phone number 505-819-5779.  Very aggressive.

they called me last month saying i went to florida and took out a loan.when i said ive never been to florida they said they  mailed me a check.they keep calling told my step father ill be in court sucking his private..he couldnt give me a name of his company..he knew my information bank account and all i had to chage bank accounts

These people at this phone will call you with a 911 number stating they are an officer that they will be coming to arrest you for non payment of a loan account that they will  not give you any information on. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION and report them to the police department. Something has to be done with these kind of people.

I received calls from Allen Smith and kevin Foster said was going to arrest me at work. said I need to call and fax copy of my credit card. I see that this looks like scam. I have had outstanding debt so still feel nervous. But they refused to give me name of creditor. i recently applied for loans online that i didn't get.

yeah but all send out letters and notification... and if it does go to court a lettr from the court will be sent....these scamnmers don't

they called my work and my boss told me about it.saying if i didn't call i would have a warrant out for my arrest... I called back the next day and you could barely understand them when i asked where they were located the guy ramble on... I told them if they ever called my phone or work again i would report them and he hung up quick..I decided to call write back and they didn't answer....the gyu that called his name was michael wright.oh and he says if i don't reply he would have no choice but to send cops to my mailling address...yeah thats gonna look kinda funny

I was contacted by this number informing me cops would show up at my job and or house to arrest me at 11am if i didnt pay 5000 dollars for loans i had received at first i was worried had recently applied for a loan but decided not to go through with it because of high intrest rates anyhow i was told i could do jail time at least 6 mnths since they could prove money was sent to my account so immediately called my bank who was able to prove there had been no transactions, lol just to let u know i have kept this account open but i also havent used this account in 3 years or more, with that being said i called back to speak with daniel to let him know wht my bank had said and told him i was willing to fax over my bank statement he then refused to give me a fax number he also refused to give me the amount of the loans where the loans came  so i decided to goggle the number and i cant believe this bull crap that i am reading it is TRULY A SCAM THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ARRESTED

I received a phone call from this number while in a meeting.  I declined it 4 times before they stopped.  I have been intermittently harrassed by this type of thing since August of 2008.  I have filed complaints with the FTC, FBI, BBB and a verbal complaint with the Wisconsin Dept of Consumer affairs.  These phones are generally throw away cells, and frequently the numbers I have been harassed with have come from legitimate firms that never made the calls, somehow their numbers are hacked.  I have basically done everything recommended, but I believe that somehow they get numbers and then your number gets called and then falls off the list.  Last week the call i received was from Harrisburg PA in a small town.  I called the local law official there and I was told I was not the only person receiving calls from this number.  The sheriff had actually traced the number to a disposable phone and he contacted them and told them that the hoax was up.  They just threw away that phone and now it is a new number.
I have been told that it is likely that this is an offshore group and our laws don't govern them.  I say ignore the calls.  By all means don't pay them a dime.  If they really are debt collectors there are guidelines that need to followed and are outlined on the FTC consumer website.  These calls drive me nuts and I would testify in a heartbeat against these folks if they could be tracked down.

I just got one of these calls today!!! Saying the same thing, that I commited fraud!!! They are the ones committing fraud--and should be stopped. I am reporting them today. Plus, they're really stupid too. They never called my by phone or sent me a letter. If what they state when they call people is supposed to be true, they would of had to send a certified letter and contacted the people by phone before getting any further. What a scam!

They can go stick it up their a** as far as I'm concerned. Bunch of SCAM ARTIST'S. All I did was put their number on my REJECT TELEPHONE NUMBER LIST. All they'll get is a busy signal. They can go f#*ck themselves for all I care.

David Harris called my job and said i was going to get arrested tomorrow at 11 am i told them to come and get me i never did a loan and i dont owe any money this people need to get a life and stop scaming inocent people with no money and stealing the money for their own benefit.  Dont even bother calling anyone from this no. 914-373-7038, or for David Harris Attorney at Law is a scam if you dont pay 600 in the next 20 minutes you going to get arrested, don't fall for that.  They said there in California and they are in New York, well the number is in New York they sound Indian with a heavy accent they are not in the states believe me.  Don't fall victim to this scam always check with the Better Business Bureu.

I have been receiving harassing calls from a East Indian for the past two weeks. This man has made threats againist me regarding me be used as a reference. I hang up he calls right back with threats The man has called me a f_ _ _ing bloody b_ _ _ _, among other things. I am sick and I want the calls to stop what can I do?

An Allen Smith left a threatening message on my cell and my work phone.Saying this is my last and final warning I better respond or bad things will happen to me. I want for 3 international fraud charges, also some will coming to my job to investigate me and my job for the payday loan that I owe. Granted I apply for one but did not get approved and glad I didnt. This person never say the name of the law office. He just says he is calling with the law office.

Are they tryin to give you a summons? If anyone brings it, its gonna be from the clerks office, and they dont give you warnings befor they show up because if unless you are physically givin papers or dont sign for by certified mail, your not summons!!!!

With collection, they are not allowed to contact your employer if your employer tells them to stop

I use to work for a payday loan place, sad but true. U can be taken to court if you dont pay, but the worse thing is u get a wage garnishment. Most companies dont like to do them unless they know for 100% where you work. But on the flip side im getting calls from these A**HOLES!  leaving me these BLAH BLAH messages about a court summons for bad checks. 1st off IF i was even to get a phone call from anyone it would be from my DAs office not some jerk in a call center. They damn sure dont give you the choice of attempting to keep this matter out of court. Also you DONT get summons over the phone, it comes certified US Mail or by some one in the clerks office. I know this for a fact. Make sure payday loans are even legal in your state for one, then call your Atternoy Generals Office to make sure its not a scam. If you have a case number, which this guy said i had, then there is a summons which i can find no record of lol, so why are u giving my the chance to keep this out of court? Shouldnt that be something myself or my Atterny disscusses with the ppl that are sueing me? Also they break to many laws just by leaving message. a collection message should state at most " My name is So n So please return my call at whatever number as soon as possible. They should never state the company name, the nature of the call or leave in of your personal info on a VM, this is incase someone else hears the VM and it totaly violates every privacy law, if it the loan is legit that cant do it cause you sign a privacy agreement when taking a loan. These ppl make me sick! all this is, is a dumb lame scare tatic to force ppl in to paying money they dont owe.....These guys are just buying your info from ppl. Dont worry at all, tell them to summons to, if you owe the debt, go the court house and pay it...and thats it. Also legit collection companies can run your credit...i had no spot on my credit where they did either..... But if you dont think this is a scam or just want to double check...follow these simple steps:

1) Pull Your credit, see who is tryin to collect on you
2) Contact your Atterny Genrals office, state your case, they should be able to tell you
3) If they leave some case number or what not, call your local civil court and check the case number
4) Do a back round check on your self

After this is all said and done here are some tips that can help you in the future.

1) Reg your number (if you choose not to change it) on  www.donotcall.gov website, this takes your number from telemarketors.
2) Google your name and city such as John Doe, Lakeville AL and see what comes up. This is because there are so many websites where ppl can look you up for free and get free info like your name, cell number, house address and email, and possible family member (which they can look them up too) this is without paying a dime, others you need to pay for for certain information, but you can each one of these sites and have your info removed....I DID! (Its legally tho, everything they have is considered public info)
3) Avoid any internet offers like online payloan company, some are legit, your state website should have a list under small loan and approved internet venders.

I have been receiving harrassing calls from this number. The heavy accent gentleman told me that I owe a payday loan in the amount of $14,000. I told him I never took out a payday loan, he proceeded to tell me that I have 14 fraud cases pending on my ss# in which he gave me the last four. I contacted my attorney and he advised me that this was a scam, if I ever put my info in the system to receive a payday loan, they got the info from that. I wish I could get them to stop calling and harrassing me but now I know it's just a scam.

Called and said it was urgent and wouldn't say anything more.

Yes i had the same problem to, what i did was change my cell and close my account out and open another one.

Called back to confirm, female this time.

She started to talk to me until I guess she noticed my number.

She said, "I'm not interested in talking to you.  You spoke with my colleague and said you notified everyone that this was a scam and reported it to [insert company name here, I cannot remember what she said]."  I replied, "I'm not interested in getting calls from you, either, so stop."  She hung up.

I think it's funny that she said that, I mean --- if this wasn't a scam, how would they would know the name of the company that could shut down their operations, without me even stating one?  I am going to keep bothering them until they stop bothering me, because ignoring them doesn't work.

Threaten them back and apparently they get the message.

Tried calling them again, they actually picked up after only 2 rings!

I said, "I keep getting calls from this number, please put me on a no-call list" just to see what they'd say.  The person on the other end said something incoherent ("... [indistinguishable heavily-accented comment] followed by: Just a moment, please.") and then hung up.  Tried to call back again, busy signal.

I will call back one more time just to see if they can verify that my work-phone will no longer be contacted.  But, I'm fed up.

They called my phone, I ignored the call, they called my work. I looked up the number as he was feeding me some b.s. about being a rep. for a Sheriff's office. Found this.

I tell them, "I know this is a scam, don't call me.  Everyone knows this is a scam, it's already been reported."  He says, "Wait- Already been reported? What? The police will be at your work in 30 minutes if you don't comply!"

Call the number back, it just rings.

I can't block the number from my work-phone.
But, how can I get them to stop on my cell? They just keep leaving voicemails!
