I received a call at my work and was left a message by a foreign person.....could not understand the message that was left for me.  He said a lawsuit was going to be filed against me and that I was to call back as soon as possible. I think this is some type of scam and would like to know more about this company.

Received 2 text messages from this number today.

9:50pm UWANT ME & REMY 2MORRO MA

I found this site. Have no idea who it is. Never heard of the companies listed above and have not applied for any loans nor do I have any loans with said companies.

The best thing to do to get these guys to leave you alone for while is to  give them information from a credit card that is no longer valid. Switch a couple of the numbers on the card and give the expiration date of a valid card. Make the payment arrangements a month out. Even if it does not stop the calls it may at least alert the banks that these guys are a fraud.

Call them several times a day and try to order a pizza.

Call them over and over and say nothing.

I have received 25 calls from the National Affidavit Processing today(760-300-4000). I was leary about the call from the begining. Indians/Iranians w/ heavy accents w/ American names? Stating two different company names through out the phone conversation? Getting pissed when I ask them who they represent? As I was talking w/ them I was writing down the company name & phone numbers & were looking them up on the internet. I contacted one company that "Steve Austin" stated that he worked for; they stated that they don't do the kind of work that was being demonstrated. Then I looked up phone number & it didn't have any info, just a city & state. Then I received a call from them again (875-820-6274. This time I let the guy know that I knew it was a scam & I reported him to the Attorney General's Office in my state, the Federal Trade Commisssion & filed a report w/ my local police dept. I guess he gor pissed & started playing on my phone, threatening me, being explicit  & rude. I will just continue to reporting the harrassment to the police.(916-745-8131).

Reading this is like reading a rewind of my morning. I received 4 calls in a matter of minutes from a Private Number. When I listened to the voice mail, I could not understand what she said but I decided to call her back nonetheless. When I called back and asked for a company name, he would not give me one and asked for my phone number- why do you need my phone number if you called me?! After the runaround, I too got the feeling that this was a scam and asked him if I could make a phone call to my lawyer and call him back. He got VERY upset and said that he only had my file for 10 - 15 minutes before it was sent to a lawyer who would eat me alive in court. I called my father who agreed that this most likely was a scam. After reading everyone's comments, I am confident that this is scam. I mean, they aren't even smart enough to change it up a bit after OBVIOUSLY reading these comments (Barbara)?

I got the exact same call today. Not only did I receive the call, there was a message on my SISTER's answering machine disclosing all of my personal information. Then my sister called him back, Jeff was his "name" same accent, he then disclosed to her all of my personal information. I work in collections and disclosing any information to a third party w/out their consent, noted on the account or in writing, is ILLEGAL!!!!! He threatened to take me to court, actually he said, "I'll see you in court." Which is also ILLEGAL unless you have made the necessary attempts @ getting repayment for the "loan" in which he said I took out. After advising him that I work in collections, and I do know what Im talking about he became irrate!!! He wouldn't transfer me to a supervisor, and it was an act of congress to get him to give me the name of the payday loan company and phone number. To make matters worse when I called the loan company a guy named Steve Smith answered and refused to answer my questions, got nasty and was yelling @ me. He too wouldn't transfer me to a supervisor. I'm going to continue researching these companies, and if necessary retain legal counsel of my own.

I have been receiving relentless calls about the same thing.  It is harrassing and scamming - they are terrible.   They call and call basically trying to extort money about payday loans.  I don't know who to turn to or where to go - maybe the FBI - any advice?

Ditto!  My call was from Steven Smith, I can't even get credit and I cancelled that checking account a few months ago, although he still said see u in court.The number he was calling from was 914 595-7348

I got the same call! They call me several times a day, and call my dad! They threatened to take me to court, and request that I send them a copy of my driver's license, and social security in order to pay back a loan. I swear I already paid that back, and when I asked for their address and information, he told me to call back and talk to a supervisor in the morning. I am frustrated and annoyed! The number they told me to call back was 323-410-2886. I will be talking to the police about them!

I recieved 4 or 5 calls from a man by the name of Scott.  I couldnt understand his last name.  He had a very thick accent telling me he is calling from National Affidavit Processing Center and there is a lawsuit that has been filed against me. I asked him to stop calling me while at work and that I work for a lawyer and with the court house and that I checked and there has been no lawsuit filed against me. He started yelling things at me that I couldn't even understand then hung up. I am not sure who to report this to but it seems like more people are on to them so hopefully he will find his day in court one day soon!!

I got the same call from this number, it was a man he stated his name was Greg Billings and he worked for the Department of Law and Investigation and there was a case against me for a payday loan. I have never even taken out a pay day loan but it freaks me out he had all my information. I told him this is not right and i needed some proof and he started to yell at me and screamed he will see me in court. I think this is a scam and someone needs to stop these people. I am reporting them to my local police. I kept the voice mail so i have proof.

I had the same call this morning on both my work and cell voice mail from this Greg Billings with threats of legal action. I finally got ahold of someone who said they had no record of me or any of my phone numbers and that I must be mistaken about the calls. I told him, really because I have 2 voice mails where this Greg Billings is using my name and calling me on my phone #s and I am calling directly from the number that showed up on my caller id. Guy kept telling me I was wrong about the calls, especially after I told him I was contacting my state attorney general to report the scam/fraud. State Attorney Generals office said it is in regards to a payday loan scam. I have no pay day loans so I have no idea how they got my info. Very frustrating and disturbing.

Wow...got another call from 914-373-7161, caller with thick Indian accent said he was with the Dept of Investigation and that I had legal action being taken against me. I asked him if this was "Greg Billings" and he said yes. I said "Listen I've already contacted my State Attorney General to report this scam/Ifraud." He asked me what proof I had it was a scam and I told him it wasn't my responsibility to provide him with proof, but that the authorities already had a record of this # and scam. The caller said he was calling about a pay day advance that I failed to pay. Told him I've never had a pay day loan and that they are illegal in my state. He got very frustrated and raised his voice saying they were coming for me. Told him again that if he wanted to continue talking to me he needed to send me paper work showing what I am accused of. He repeated again I needed to protect myself cause they were coming. Told him if he called me again I would pursue legal action against him for his threats and harassment and then hung up. Nothing but some slime ball people trying to scam people out of money.

GUY NAMED MICHAEL SOMETHING (CANT UNDERSTAND ACCENT) FROM NATIONAL (SOMETHING-AGAIN CANT UNDERSTAND) DEPT SAID THERE IS A LAWSUIT COMPLAINT AGAINST ME FOR DOING SOME ILLIGAL ACTIVITY AND I NEED TO CALL HIM WITH MY SS NUMBER AND ADDRESS OR THERE WILL BE HARSH LEGAL ACTIONS. I HAVE BOTH MESSAGES SAVED, HE CALLS MY WORK EVERYDAY. I FIGURE ITS A SCAM BUT HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP CALLING MY WORK?!?!?! ITS ANNOYING!

Bobbie Jean - it's a total scam.  Don't be scared.  You're not in trouble.  They try to make you believe you're in trouble and sucker you into giving out your info, and giving them money.  My advice:  delete the voice mails, ignore the calls, and don't call them back.  I've done a lot of research on this particular phone # - nobody every got arrested or lost their job because of these scammers.  DON'T WORRY

I have received numorous calls from this number about commiting fraud. I asked if I could make payments in the form of money orders and I got the run around. I asked for badge numbers and address and was told that the only hold the payments for the company that the are repersenting. I was left a message that I'm not worried about my job or family. The person on the phone said his name was (OFFICER KENT MURPHY) and that I should call him (MR. MURPHY). He also told me that he would send his time of investergaters to my job and home when I told him that I would take my chances in court. I received 30 calls from this number in a days time.

I GOT A CALL AT WORK, STATING THAT IF THIS WASN'T PAID IMMEDIATELY $775.00 TODAY THAT THE POLICE WOULD ARREST ME AND THAT I WOULD BE FIRED FROM WORK. WHEN I ASKED FOR THE COMPANY'S NAME HE WAS CALLING FROM HE GAVE ME WITH A VERY STRONG ACCENT(BROKEN ENGLISH) UNITED FEDERAL LEGAL INVESTIGATION &  NATIONAL  AFFIDAVIT PROCESSSING, THAT IT WAS IN REGARDS TO A CASH ADVANCE AND THAT I HAD INTENTIONALLY HAD TRIED COMMIT FRAUD WITH.  WHEN I ASKED THE COMPANY THAT IS CLAIMING THIS HE THEN BECAME HOSTILE AND STATED HE CANNOT GIVE ME ANYMOR INFORMATION, BUT HE WOULD BE HAVING THE POLICE AT MY WORK. I AM  IN FEAR THAT THE CALLER COULD BECOME VIOLENT..SINCE HE STATES HE KNOWS MY PLACE OF WORK AND WHERE I LIVE.

I received the call this morning while at work and a gentleman asked me to call back because a law suit was in my name and ssn. I was confused at first but after reading all this it makes since.

Caller: N A P D" That's crap. First of all use correct english or type it out correctly next time. Second of all this company and others have tried to collect on people that have taken out a payday loan and paid it back. I work in the law field, if they can not produce information  then it is a fraud, if they can not produce information by certified mail or process service, it is fraud. Do not give information to this company or any other company that can not speak english. Put a fraud alert on all your credit reports, and contact your bank and let them know that someone is accessing your informaiton without your consent. Just though I would let everyone know this.

A guy named Michael with a very thick accent left a message for me that he was with some National Company and to get some guy named Rodney (couldn't understand the last name) to give him a call because he had been committing some kind of fraud against the company I work for and the investigation unit needed information or something like that. Too hard to understand with the accent. No idea. I called the number back and it just went to a generic voice mail. I got the message friday and did not check it until saturday morning though. Sounds like a scam to me.

A gentleman by the name of patrick Watson called my cell number 8 times in less than 10 minutes I would answer and there would be no response so i would hang up and the last time my girlfriend answered and he said that he was from National Affidavit Processing Division and that he needed to discuss a legal matter with me. I pay my bills so why are they doing this to me?  It is extremely frustrauting!!@!!

Yeah, they have called a woman calling herself Charlie Brown, with a thick accent and mispronounced my name as well.  I damn neared laughed at her, but she said that they are calling for a relative of mine and they said it was for a payday loan and they are going to download legal documents to the local courthouse.  One you can’t download legal documents and send to a courthouse.

But the funny thing was that when I asked how they got my phone # they said my relative put me down as reference, and they said the number they had for him was an 800 number that they said was disconnected, so then I asked them if the payday loan company is "hiring" you locate my relative, why don't you have his phone number? the guy started getting angry when I kept asking this question, starting yelling at me, and I was calm and collective, even asking him calmly, 'why are you screaming at me'?  

I posed the question again of why is that if you are working on behalf of the payday loan company, why would they give you my name and phone, but not the person who it's in reference about. He got so angry that I was catching him in a lie, he screamed never to call there again, to which my response was, "Since you are calling me to find my relative to "pass this" on to, wouldn't you WANT me to call back with his phone number?"  Then he hung up me.

Never had I laughed so hard.

I received the same call -- he got mad when I questioned him and said they would appreciate no further calls from me and that I can expect my employer and myself to receive paperwork and see them in the courthouse.
