I received a similar call from 914-363-4706.  The gentleman, with a very thick foreign accent, said he was Officer Alex Watson from the Federal Crimes Investigation Bureau and that I had to call them back immediately or I was going to be arrested within the next 24 hours.  I called the number back and it went to a voicemail for a Mr. Paul White (same voice on the voice mail).  I called the FBI and they have no such person working for them, and the number is not a legitimate FBI number.  I contacted my local police department and filed a complaint.

I received the exact same call, asking me to surrender myself or they would send cops to my home and or workplace to arrest me. They asked me to call Roger Gibson at 914 556 5933. I knew it had to be a hoax. A few months ago there was a similar call asking me to return a call or they would start investigation proceedings against me.

Just for a voicemail from "Thomas O'Brian" from the Westchester County Sheriffs Office asking me call back '"Roger Gibson" of the Federal Crime Enforcement Division at 215-254-6545 or surrender myself to the local police in the next 30 minutes due to some federal complaint.

The odd accent seemed like one of the Indian call center dudes trying to speak like an American.

Seemed to have got my name from some database - probably the phone directory- as he used only my first name initial not the name.

Anyways was scary to hear the voicemail and glad for sites like this to inform others of this scam. Though I have no idea what he would gain from something like this.

Interestingly the caller ID said Entergy IPEC and the number was 1-914-254-1421

I do feel that these calls are happening to desi (south asians).. i want to call and prank these b*****ds too.. my mom got this call and she was freaking out.. i looked into it and knew it was fake right off the bat.  calls are coming from voip lines and are setup to take messages when you make the calls to these numbers.

If FBI wanted to get you, they wont call you, they will knock at your door!

Got a call from 914-556-5933. and left message he is calling from federal  investigation. and i didn't pay my federal taxes from 2009 till 2012 and owe them $ 3294.00 . if i don't pay them today police is coming to arrest me in 45 minutes. when i call back he put pressure on me to resolve the issue right now other wise police is coming to arrest me.while talking to him we got suspicious i told him i always pay my taxes on time , let me call my husband. my brother check the number on Google and thank GOD we knew it was fake call. caller hung up as he realized he got caught.,, i was very upset and reported to the local police immediately.
be very careful with these kind of people they will scared the hell out of you to get money out.this is ridiculous
i hope FBI will catch them soon.by the way local police check the no and told me actual call was coming from INDIA, even though they were using the new York no.are there no ways to find out who is doing this? Who do you call and complain?

We received the exact same message - Deputy Lee Chandler with badge number 4927, with weird accent, claiming my husband was being investigated for some federal complaint by Officer Thomas O'Brien.  But the number they told us to call was 512-600-0108.  Thanks to everyone for posting this -- now we know to ignore this.

I got the same call. Indian dude on the other end posing as Officer Shawn Woods. He left a voicemail for me and my husband. I knew right off the bat that this was a hoax due to his heavy Indian accent and silly threats. Also he referred to my husband and I by of our first initial and last name (he got our number from the phone book...that's how we are listed).  What an idiot. Also, I noticed that this dude has been targeting Indians as is evident from the many Indian named people posting here (myself included).

Just got a call on our voice mail system, some indian guy calling himself Federal Officer Shawn, wants to arrest my wife under Act 97 - 1008 or something. Long voice mail almost 2 minutes long. Not sure what to do or how to stop this from happening. When I dialed the number provided in the voice mail back, it goes to some extention/voicemail. Creepy and weird.

Same thing happened with me. If you listen closely, you can tell that he is Indian. Left a voicemail to call 9145565933 and speak to Detective David Marshall of the Nassau County Sherrif's Department to resolve a matter. Either that or turn myself in.

Got a call from somebody introducing himself as Deputy Lee Chandler badge number 4972. He had a weird accent. Claimed that I had committed federal offence and was being investigated by  Officer Thomas O'Brien, and an arrest warrant had been issued in my name. He further asked me to call 914-556-5933 and talk to O'Brien or he will send cops to my home or place of work to arrest me.

I googled this number and saw the above posts.

On July 18 2013 got a call from a officer Shawn from the federal crime enforcement division district court stating that there is an arrest warrant for my mom and to call back 9145565933. Also stated that it was due to act 1997 chapter 1008. I googled the number and saw this post. My poor mom was all shaken up.  Whoever is doing this are pieces of s***!! Thanks all. I called 911 and reported it.

I received the call from 914 556 5933 number.  They call me everyday atleast 7-8 times.  It's been such a harrassment.  I informed the police as well.

I received a call about 30 min ago from this number and a voicemail was left claiming that a Roger Gibson from the Federal Crime Enforcement Division was calling for a serious fraud complaint against my name and I will get arrested if I didn't call back. When I called back he picked up the phone and wouldn't complete the conversation. After calling back repeatedly it went to vm which was full.

Just had the same call from an 'alex watson' from Polk sheriff dept and asking me to call 'Thomas o'brien' on  9145565933 urgently , otherwise I will be arrested. I have reported it to polk sheriff dept and they confirmed no one of that name/s work there. I did call the 914 number and didn't give any information but kept asking who he was and who he worked for etc. The guy wouldn't answer and hung up. I called him back , said I knew he was a scam artist and that police were after him, he said something about 'if they find me' and hung up. The 914 number is out of New York so I also reported to the sheriff dept there, but to be honest they were not interested in doing anything about it (didn't even ask for any of my details to report it formally). People like these need to be hunted down and sorted out ... some vulnerable people get taken for  lot of money   - shame

We had a voicemail from this number saying they were going to come and arrest me - it would be a long journey as I'm  in the UK.... we have a vacation home in Florida which is where they left the mwessage.

I called the local sherrif's office and played them the voicemail, they said it was a scam and not from them.

We also rang the NY police dept but they weren't interested at all :-(

My husband called the number and told them the sheriff was on to them and he just laughed and said - yeh, you come and find us!!

I recieved such a call from someone in Wayne County Sherrif Office, Michigan. I called that office and was told no such person called me. The caller has a distinctive east Indian accent , perhaps from the Bangalor area in India.
Call the Police, if you wish, to let them be aware of the scam.

My wife received a call from UNKNOWN CALLER 914-556-5933, the lady asked for me,  a guy explained he was calling from a Criminal court office with 3 cases against me, IRS tax problem, Identity theft and a theft issue, when I asked about him, he switch me to another person, he said he was William a Marshal (they both sounded like an Indian, with Indian accent) , repeated  same allegations, when I replied I don't know what he was taking about, he then asked my mother language, I said I understand English so he carried on, demanding for some payments to be paid, otherwise my passport will be confiscated and some one will approach me until 3:30 p.m.  I said it is ridiculous,  and asked some thing in black and white by mail, there were some background chatting voices, he all of sudden.hung up.

I got the same call from sombody (connot hear the name). He said somebody by name Thomas o'Brien from FederalCrime Enforcement Network is trying to call me and if I don't respond to 914-556-5933 they will have a warrent to arrent me at my home or work. I called the local poice and tehy confirem it is a Scam.

This person called me threathening me if I didn't pay them in a certain lenght of time they would have me locked up.

I just checked my voice mail to find out that this guy claiming himself to be Sheriff Officer Richard Fuller from Kane County Sheriff Station states that I need to step down and surrender myself or else he will have to send Investigation Officers to my house to arrest me.

The moment I heard it I knew it was a spam call. But this guy had a very strong accent and was curious about motive of such a threatening call. He also asked me to call back Roger Gibson from Fed Crime Enforcement Division at 9145565933

I received a similar voice mail almost identical to Purnima.  I Google'd 914-556-5933 and found this post.  So glad I found this posting.

There was a voicemail received from 630-597-7400. Please note this number however cannot be called back. The person leaving the voicemail introduced himself as XX name (I could not catch) and badge number 4927 from Dupage County Sheriff Office. He said he is calling because he has received the federal complaint from the officer Thomas against my husband. He said the officer works with Federal Crime Enforcement Network. The caller then went on to say to call the officer at 914-556-5933 to find out details. He then left the threatening message saying 2nd complaint may require him to send the police at home and at the place of employment..

I got the same message as Mr. Kris above, Mike Anderson from Federal Crimes division. It seems Mr. Mike has got a lot of arrests to do today :). Can you believe some one calling about an arrest? Thanks for posting your experiences.

Got a call from 914 556 5933. My wife picked up and the person insisted on getting my number for a federal investigation and if I didn't call back by the evening I would be arrested. My wife took the number down instead of giving my number. I googled and got to this site thankfully. Thanks for the information. This is ridiculous, are there no ways to find out who is doing this? Who do you call and complain?
