For the past 4 months I have been getting a phone call from a 9145977707 phone number saying that I got a payday loan from metabank and I owe them money.  For the past 4 months I've ignored the calls until recent.  They have gone as far as call me when I ignore the calls or don't answer they'll keep calling  I have never had a payday loan in my life.  So finally today I answer the phone and gave them a peace of my mind!! I wasn't nice and I don't plan to be nice when they call again.  They told me I had to go to white plains new York for court, I told them to come to my town for the court, and that I would he caling my lawyer.  Well after 5 mins. Of fighting with this Indian sounding moron he asked me what my final answer was...I told him to f*uck and learn to speak English or go back to his little t**** head country Nd leave me alone.  Well he didn't like that to much n hung up on me.  I called white plains police dept and my lawyer!! They called back when I was on the phone with the cops.  Stupid scammers need to leave me alone, I don't owe anyone anything and they can screw off!!!!

I started receiving these calls on 01/05/2011 as with everybody else the caller had a thick middle eastern accent . I knew before I answered the phone that this was indeed a payday loan scam because the number that popped up on my caller ID was (221) 415-22 as you can see this isn't a full number. I started laughing when "Mr. Donald" claimed to be calling from the Department of law investigation and that they are calling because I took out a non existing payday loan from cash America for $300 and failed to repay so me being the complete bi*** that I am starting questioning him as well cursing him out at the same time. I asked him for the company's address and the payday loan business phone number so I may contact them he tells me that they won't talk to me & I should just handle the matter with them which just made me laugh even harder! I said no thanks! & hung up, they called me back this time an officer "Taylor" got on the line to proceed to tell me that if I don't pay I will be going to jail so I said let me stop you right there you should just move on because your not getting s*** from me! I told him I know this was a scam because the company doesn't exist nor does the so-call cash America. Well the calls stopped-- until yesterday at 11:30 am again same half number popped up so I answered and started telling him to f*** off I never took out any payday loan it's a scam! & hung up. They repeatedly called me I have a total of 12 calls from just yesterday 01/20/2012! I finally answered the phone it seems that they now have invented a new company "Cash USA" I googled this and found one company which I emailed because I didn't see a contact number the email address of the company doesn't exist! Anyways this idiot proceeded to tell me that I took out a payday loan for $500 from Cash USA and I didn't pay back. I said you should just move on I told you before your not getting shittttttttttttt from me! He try's to intimidate me with court, jail blah blah blah! I kept screaming into the receiver scam scam scam scam scam over and over. I reported it to FTC BBB & IC3. I asked the moron why is he so desperate? I never know of any debt collectors to be so desperate, he replies because I'm trying to help you... Lol... I gave them an earful I told the parasites to get a real job instead of trying to scam hard working people out of their mony! I plan on reporting this to my local police department & county general. Yes these idiots have some personal info it's usually the last 4 digit of the potential targets social or bank account number this is how they scare helpless victims into sending them money. You can't go to jail or get sued for a $300-$500 payday loan, it just goes on your credit report. Every time these parasitic leech f**** call I try to obtain as much information as possible to report them to authorities and to post it on every rip off report site!
Just remember its a SCAM! I'm on the do not call list... Try it....  The first scammer left me a voicemail with a number that I may reach them As this matter is urgent (914) 597-7707 I wasn't shocked at all when the calls started yesterday 01/20/2012 they too left the (914) 597-7707 number to call back or I'm doomed! And even when you *67 to call them somehow someway they still see your number. They're good but I'm better. When you get these calls grab a pen & paper & try to get as much information as you can so you can report them & also let everybody know on sites such as this...people need to use google! All you have to do is google the telephone number /company name and if they're not on any rip off sites be the first to add them I guarantee you others will start posting their own experiences. This is what I did with the first call which was how I was able to confirm my assertion that this was very much a scam. And I went on the BBB website in bold red letters read : ALERT : DEPARTMENT OF LAW OF INVESTIGATION SCAM! I also reported their new name to the bbb.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.

If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller?s instructions. Rather, you should:

Notify your banking institutions.
Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:

Never give your Social Security number?or personal information of any kind?over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

I  have received several phone calls from this number from a person pretending to be an Officer.  He refers to himself as Officer John Wooten.  The subject has a very strong Middle Eastern or Indian accent.  He requested my social security number and that is when I told them they had better quit calling me because I work for Law Enforcement and know that this is a scam.  I hung up on them and they called back, leaving me a message that I should not disconnect on them and that I will face severe legal consequences if I do not call them back.
