This number has been calling twice a day at the same time each day for over a week.  The call disconnects if answered.  This must be a machine service determining when a person is at home.

I did not answer when I saw New York Call on caller ID.

Me too - getting calls from that number - when I answer there is no one there.

I don't know who this is and I don't like to be bothered with unknown sources!

Another number lookup also says Wynndam which makes sense, too. Started getting spam emails from them after booking a hotel online;

I *67'd and the phone number to stop the annoying call which comes everyday.  March of Dimes (if it is the auto dialer) is not doing itself any service.
We longer contribute to this questionable charity.

Getting daily calls from this number at dinner time.

I recd a call from this # @ 8:25AM. I am not up at that time of the morning!!  I am retired & want to sleep in most mornings!!!  Thank goodness I have my phone in the other side of my house, so I can't hear it ringing.
If it is March of Dimes, I AM already signed up to be a neighborhood solicitor, so BUZZ OFF!!

This number called on Saturday 7/18/2009 @ 12:45pm. I answered, call disconnected. My guess is it is a robot testing times of day when someone is home. So when you don't answer, they continue calling. Should be illegal. It probably isnt though. I believe anyone who gets this call most likely talked to the 'MARCH OF DIMES' at some point.

I keep getting phone calls from the above number however when I answer no one is there but I do hear background noise.

I am on a do-not-call list.  These people are pests and hang up when they get your answering machine

Have received several calls from this number at various times. I agree with Dan that it is the March of Dimes, requesting you to do a mailing for them in your local area.

Been getting calls from this number for over a month, couple times a day.  I just called it back (*67 first).  It is the March of Dimes.  A recording says to press 1 if you don't want anymore calls, but it can take up to 30 days to activate.

I got this call with no one there.

I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS 2 OR 3 TIMES PER DAY.  I DO NOT CHOOSE TO ANSWER WHEN I SEE THAT NUMBER ON MY CALLER ID.  I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS CALLING.

In the past week, got this call everyday but never leave message. It's shown "unknown number" for caller id.

No message left, with "unknown name" on Caller ID.

I was called two or three months ago by the march of dimes,and told them then that I would NOT collect in neighborhood for them,as I am 73 years old and confined to my house with copd and am on oxygen 24/7.They sent me a packet any way and call me twice a day and at all hours until 9:15 pm(latest).

This number calls me several times a day!!!  The caller I.D. always says "New York Cal" but that's it.  The calls always come at the most INOPPORTUNE time.

I do not answer calls that are unknown to me. If you cannot leave a message, Don't call.

Caller ID says "Armonk NY" but I get multiple calls during the day that say they are either calling for the March of Dimes or the American Heart Association.  When you first pick up the phone there is a delay and saying "hello" doesn't always get a response, but the sound of a call center is in the background.  If I don't hang up after no one says "hello" they proceed to solicit a donation or my collection in the neighborhood.  I can even tell them I don't want to collect and they keep calling back.  I tell them not to call me and then I get a call from a different number for the same thing.

Just got a call from this number, but didn't answer since it said UNKNOWN NAME. I called it back after I
read all of the above complaints. A pleasant recording came on explaining that it was the Donor care Center (prob. a Clearing house for donations)
calling for the March of Dimes. The woman said to press 1 if I wanted to be put on the "Do not call list".
and said it may take 30 days to process.
Thing is - the same thing happened a few months ago, so just because you're taken off the list - apparently you can be put back on.
Don't know if it's a coincidence, but I am collecting in my neighborhood for the right now.

Really sad! March of Dimes is a good cause.
