i have a phone number in another state from where i live for my 92 year old mother in a nursing home. this number 916-212-8195 calls a average of 3 times a week. some times at night her time and she is in bed. it is a recording that you cannot talk to anyone or get the calls stopped. she has never owned a car and has never needed a warranty on one.

40 bucks to find out who called me? That's worse than the call......

They call saying they need to update your car warranty, over and over. I finally pressed 1 to talk to a representative, they asked for my car make and model, I asked them to remove me from their list, and they hung up before I could actually speak to a representative.

Another phone scam.  Same recording about how they have been desparately trying to reach us about car warranty.  Calls come in from this and a variety of other numbers.  312, 314, 877, 231, 866 etc area codes.  Hard to believe that people fall for this sort of scam, but they must or they wouldn't be doing it.

I have gotten these calls for 3 months now, since I changed my number. I keep asking to be do not call.  I have been hung up on, and just now the guys says blah, blah, blah.

Keep saying my car warranty has expired.  I have not had a warranty for years.

It has been several months and I have received countless calls from these jerks saying that they are an auto warranty company of some sort.  No matter what I say they keep calling back.  No matter how hard I press them, they will not give a call back phone number or email or even a web site.  I hope somebody can find out who these people are!!!  They also do not think nothing of getting rude with you and hang up on you when they are pressed about who they are and yet call back the next day and try to sell you an extended warrantee again!  I even go cussed by on of the callers.

This is the 7th time we've gotten call from an Auto Warrantee company.  The few times we've decided to press #1 and speak w/ an associate, we've told them that we are on the Government's Do Not Call List.  This obviously is a scam, seeing that I called 916-212-8195 and received a recorded message from Verizon Wireless stating that this number is no longer in use, or something to that effect.  Apparently, these people are hacking phone lines, technology, etc., to hijack a telephone number and make calls using it, so that it comes up on your Caller ID.

This last time, I spoke w/ a woman this morning who identified herself as Keisha (obviously black--oooh, did I say that?).  I told her if I knew where they were, I'd personally come down there and beat the sh*t out of everyone down there.  She invited me to do so and told me they were in Florida.  I asked for the address and she hung up on me.

I hope someone catches these jerks.

caller id out of area, I wasn't home when they called, and now if any call comes in that i don't recognize i track it on the net.  apparently this call was from a verizon cell phone in california

Get a call about once a week. Have asked several times to be removed from the list. Have been hung up on when asked what their name and company is. I try to take as much time with them on the phone since it costs them money. I would suggest doing the same.

We just a call at my in-laws with a pre-recorded voice message stating that the warranty on their vehicle was past due and that they needed to update their information or they could be held liable for any damage incurred to the vehicle.  It said to dial "1" to update the information. My husband hit 1 to find out what it was, a man answered and said, "Make and model of the vehicle?"  When my husband asked what company he was calling from, he hung up on him.  Very fishy!

Just received 1st call from this number, didn't answer.  Waiting for second!

said they were a warranty company and when icalled back they gave a qwest toll free service # sounds fishy

This number called my house dec 20, 2007.  They didn't leave a voice mail.  The caller id just said "cell phone CA"

This phone number has made several calls to my house and don't identify themselves.

915-212-8195 is a Verizon Wireless cell ph out of Sacramento CA. They have called many times but never leave a message or id themselves.

no message left.  caller id states it's a california call.  multilple calls to my phone

Caller ID - Out of Area 916-212-8195 - Caller sounded as though they didn't realize the answering machine picked up and had a conversation with someone in the background.  Both males with a heavy accent.  Maybe from India.  They hung up and dialed again.  This time the same 2 voices but the called ID stated "Out of Area" and instead of the number had "Out of Area" again.  These calls happened on 12/6/07 at 10:40 and 10/46am central standard time.  Then at 1:20pm "Out of Area" 982-198-6986. Same heavy accent.  I can not make out most of what they are saying.
