i get the message "this is heather from account services" i press one to tell the to stop calling and they hang up. i called the number back and got a message of "we are sorry if we reached your number in error, we only purchase lists of business phone listings if you would like your nummber removed please press 1". This also happens for the following other number same voice, same message,240-210-7143,603-214-3543, 202-507-7332

I googled the number for 30 min and found the carrier.  The name is Digitcom Services Inc, 1800-464-5446.  Complain PLEASE.

This number called me and I have received over a dozen from similar numbers all saying they are satellite spec. I played a long with them like a always do because they will not take your number off the list. They claim to be an affiliate of dish network but said he couldn't tell me the name off his affiliate company.  I gave him a bogus name then they asked for my address and social security #!! I gave them bogus everything and I asked why they needed my social and he assured me it wasn't identity theft! haha He asked me how my credit was and I told him good and he hung up! Clearly identity theft.  I would really love to stick it to these little pecker heads!!!

I get this allthe time from these d*** heads! it does not matter what you do tuo will still get them,I tryed to block them and they still get around it WTF!!

my cell phone number is 570 916 2198.they call people in my area code and when the person tries to call back it calls my cell.becauseit registers as a 570 area code number i get 4-9 calls a day from people complaining.i just send it to voice mail and changed my message to explain that i didnt call them.i gotta change my number (grrrrr)

you know the do not call list works but if you have done business with any company of any sort from 18 months ago they are still able to get ahold of you. I use to work for an utility company and that is what my supervisor told me and my co workers.

My Caller ID said "Insider Edition".  At 1st wondered why the News show Inside Edition, was calling my number---were they taking a poll?  Then I Googled the number online & got this webpage.  Now I see it's DISH network.  They are calling me using at least 2 other phone numbers.  

I've got a 6 weeks' spreadsheet now (18 June 2009) of the 70 phone numbers, Caller ID, and what it says online about that phone number of all the telemarketers who, usually, call & hang up.  The number of such calls received increased tremendously after I signed up with the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY list.  

The so-called telemarketers who do this calling are either bogus ID scammers, phishers, crooks, or vermin who are paid to call potential customers by-the-attempt.  Instead of legitimate calls, this last category calls & hangs up, merely recording "attempts" so they get paid.  Some call my phone any where from 2 to 8 times a day.  I am receiving about 1 or 2 NEW hang-up telemarketers a day----in a year, that would be a list of potentiall over 350 more calls coming in. This repeated calling & hanging up, disturbs my peace, invades my privacy, and fills up my phone recorder with useless hang-up numbers.  

AT&T will block maybe 10 numbers for something like $9.95.  My paying to block 10 numbers is LAUGHABLE when we have, currently, some 70 numbers that call off & on.  When you attempt to call back most of the numbers, you get a message saying something like "This is not a working number."  So the whole scenario is extremely aggravating, and lessens my quality of life.

Maybe not everyone can afford it, but we are in the process of setting up a dedicated laptop (about $300)connected between our phone jack & the base unit for our home phone/recorder system.  There is free software online that enables you to black-list certain phone numbers, and when they attempt to call you, it disconnects them automatically.  Am hoping the number of phone numbers that can be blocked is limitless and I will keep on adding numbers to the black-list blocker's list, as necessary.  Looking forward to it!

The companies that hire these vermin, are harming their company's reputation.  I wonder, when we have the name of the company, if all of us contacting (phone, email, snail mail letters) the company President and Customer Relations heads directly, and letting them know what we think of their telemarketers rudeness, their telemarketers relentless hanging up (as many as 2-to-8 times a day), their telemarketers NEVER leaving a message about what a good company they have and why we should try their product, etc., and what an off-the-page BAD impression they are creating, maybe, just maybe, they (the company President, etc.) would FIRE the vermin they are paying for such useless, harmful "attempts" to make customers. Hiring such vermin hurts their companies!  We need to let them know it in no uncertain terms.  Include in your letter, if possible, the phone numbers, Caller ID, whether it was a hang-up or exactly what the telemarketer said if it was crude, rude, etc.  Good luck!

I got a call from 916-219-8106.  I asked for the company name and location, and corproate number.  All I got was DISH located in Las Vegas.  But they wouldn't give me a call back number.  So I asked to tell me about your Dish service.  The first thing they wanted to do was a credit check.  So I said you aren't going to give me information about your company but you want to do a credit check.  This company is scam....

Well, they call anyway whether on the list or not. It is a waste of time to get on this list. Most of the time, you don't even know who is calling or what the company name is and can't understand the message left on voice mail is saying.

Calls like this leave messages on my answer machine and take up the whole disk space so that people who really need to leave messages can't because the disk is full. When I come home these kind of calls have completely filled up my voice mail.

I finally had to disconnect my answer machine and just look at caller ID to see who called to call them back.

all you have to do is register your number on your state and federal do not call registery. It takes about a week for your number to hit the list officaly. go to donotcall.gov

make sure you do the state and federal registeries.  It takes a couple of minutes and now I get no more calls unless I choose to receive them by contacting them first!!! try it

By the way, I called the 1-800-464-5446 number and complained twice.  What is this digitcom services inc company? Is this their phone service company?  I told the guy that every single time I get a call I am going to call him and bi*** until they take care of it.  I may even call them a couple times per day.  Obviously if this is their phone company they could do something about it.

Its a satellite company, probably offering you free satellite in your area.    I GET SO MAD READING ALL THESE NUMBERS THAT I AM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF STARTING SOMETHING TO GET RID    OF      THESE     PEOPLE. I  know the way they operate they cannot possibly sell anything.   Any ideas how we can get rid of all these people (and I use that term loosely)?   If any of you so called telemarketers, also known as cretins) are reading this  -  I never answer a number I do not recognize!!!!

I have received multiple calls from this number. I did speak with a representative asking very nicely for the ninth time not to call and was hung up on.  These calls came in 9:00 pm East Coast Time.

Satellite TV offer over and over again, even after telling them I have a satellite already?

I just got a call from these losers for the twentieth time... I pressed 1 to talk to an operator and then asked "Can you take me off your list?"  And the guy BELCHED.  Really. Then he said "No, not gonna happen.  Have a nice day, though."  I don't know even know how they make money--who would buy anything from these people?

I've been getting these, as well.  Too bad for them and the other 17 telemarketers that bug me, I only use this phone for emergencies and faxes -- everyone that I want to call me has my cell number.  Do not call lists are of no help, I've discovered, and answering the phone (or worse, calling back) only ups the number of calls you get.  I recommend not answering the phone, or better yet, if you can, do what I did and only use your cell -- leave the home phone for emergencies.  I turn my ringer off unless I'm expecting a fax.  Although not practical for everyone (and certainly unfair) it is the only way I've discovered to keep these idiots off your back.  You can use a service for around $100 per year (I've heard) that will let you block a number once they've called you.  If I didn't use another phone all of the time, I would look into it.

Automated call telling me about satellite in my area.  I pressed the nimber to speak to someone and when the man answered, he refused to tell me the name of his company, he said they all worked for him, and when i asked what state he was calling from, he said germany.

No way, I just got a call from them.  First it was an autodialer, then I pressed to speak to someone. I told them I was "interested" and asked them for their online address. She said "I guess www.warantyservices.com."  Then when I asked for more information, there was silence for 1 minute, then a hang up.

Caller told me about TV dish service in my area. I asked to be put on do not call list. Reply was that it would cost me $10.99. I asked for a superviser. Not available...out getting hamburgers. Asked for company name: Mama. Caller was very rude, disrespectful. Tried reporting the number to someone to complain...no luck.
