I know this is my company and hey Im taking your money and you cant do anything about it. If you didnt read the fine print oh well. I beat my wife and kids. I cheat on my wife. Im a pos that only cares about himself and likes to tell people im going to kill them. I do still have connections to the mob and yet I still get out of jail no problem. Isnt hard to pay people off. One of my family members was scammed by these guys. She has talked to an attorney in Maryville, Tennessee who wants to file a class action lawsuit against them. If you have been scammed, you should look him up about suing Great Atlantic Warranty and other companies in this business like Consumer Direct Warranty, National Auto Warranty, etc.

This company calls me everyday and I am so tired of it. They are looking for people to buy an extended warrenty for their vehicle. On a couple of occassions I have pressed 1 to be connected to a representative only to be hung up on each time I ask them to remove my number from their calling list. Is there anything that can be done to make them stop calling my number?

i recieve numerous calls from this number each morning, it is a recording with the expired warenty scam. it has no option to press a number to have your name removed from the calling list. i spoke to a man called brian or ryan, who was so nasty and condescending to me that he would not allow me to speak, kept talking over me and told me to wait till they called me again to be taken off the calling list. there is no button or option to be taken off the list. he hung up on me. i called the number bac because sometimes when you do that they wiill take your name off the list. but there was only a garbled and scrtchy answering machine message for i dont know what.

It's another telemarketer. Try this:
1) You answer & no one is there: hit ###### many times in rapid succession (creates an even-spaced beep) and hang up; Machine may interpret that your number is bad and take you off the list.
2) You answer & get a sales pitch: say "please hold" and set the phone down till they hang up; If you always waste their time like this, they'd be stupid not to take you off the list.

have called me several times and i finally took the call to see what it was about. the caller said it was about my car warranty expiring but then asked what kind of car i had. i told him i have 4 different vehicles and he hung up on me

I do hope your company is leggit, I gave $2500 away a few years back, and have only recieve a few pieces of paper for my trouble. No road service, or nothing else was given.. Here in Az. we are allowed to tape any conversation without letting the other end know, this is a great law, and would stop such frauds if any. HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH YOU IDIOTS. 1}Great atlantic warranty is shut down, so NOT SH|T They are not answering their phones or faxes, there are none, there are no offices. the were a MIDDLE MAN. (Broker if you will) American Mercury,Royal,Direct Choice are all decent warranty companies, that paid GAW TO MARKET their warranties. yes they marketed them an illegal way, but thats all they did, called you talked you into buying a warranty. from then and there on out, Your the warranty companies responsibilities. EVEN IF YOU DID GET AHOLD OF A GAW REP the only thing they could do is say " Hello, mam or sir in your warranty paperwork you have a customer service number to call and make your claim" thats it. ALL THEY DO IS SELL THE CONTRACT, THE CONTRACT TO ONE OF THE WARRANTY COMPANIES YOU WERE QUALIFIED FOR, IF they are not paying for your claim its not GAW FAULT ITS THERES. OR YOURS, Depending on if you neglected your maintenance duties to your car. BUT FOR YOUR SATISFACTION, THEY SCREWED ME TOO, BUT us employees didnt know how bad of a scam it was either so why dont you voodoo spell and wish bad upon the owner who lied to us all. All we knew is that people pressed one to speak to a warranty rep. , You told us your year make and model and we put into the computer your vehicle info to see which warranty companies would be willing to insure your auto, We didnt know that the owner MIKE Z IS NOT paying your cancels, we have nothing to do with their main offices duties. But they screwed alot of people that worked for them to so I dont care if you guys find all the superiors and hit them with your torches and pitch forks. I have an electric bill,water bill, baby food, mortgage, car payments I have to pay for too. In our heads we were doing a decent service, helping people get coverage for their auto so that if something did break down their not stuck paying 2-3k at one spontaneous time, atleast with amonthly payment it is affordable and your covered. We had no idea your canceling and not getting paid. Geeez point your anger somewhere else, like towards Mike zambourous the owner, the one that probally authorized his admin girls to deny your refund. i dont know what else to say, it sucks to see so many people mad and screwed. Please be smarter than agreeing to send money to someone who calls your phone. Also please do not put your phone number on an open forum for all to see. I have been trying to get my refund since 9/8/08. My extended warranty was purchased in March of 2008 and canceled in September and was told yesterday that this company went out of business on 9/30/08. My extended warranty cost me $3,404.00 and would not pay for anything at the dealer ship. I was told the extended warranty would cover bumper to bumper, just like I drove it off the show room floor. Still waiting on my refund. No one calls me back, when I call I get transfered to different people and departments. I'm sick and tired of this and want my money back! This is totally fraudlent! I was told by one person that this company moved down the street and she would have to contact the land lord and get him to call me, this is bull s***! I want my money back!!!! If you have signed up for the "service" with a credit card, IMMEDIATELY call your credit card firm and CANCEL. Assert fraud. Asking the scammer for a refund is just victimizing yourself again.
The reason the scammers claim 12 weeks (or over 90 days) for a refund is that by then the credit card firm cannot reverse the transaction and the scammers get to keep the money. Normally a company that takes credit cards for payment will have to keep money on deposit for reserves, cancellations, fraudulent credit cards, etc. If the number of cancels goes up their bank (or at least an ethical merchant bank) will cancel the merchant.

The same exact thing happened to me and about a month later. I cancelled within 24hrs yet they still took my money. I now have a BBB case open and Great Atlantic is proving to be extremely elusive, the same thing I have experience the past 8-12 weeks...gimme a break! I didn't receive any contract information only a measly CC# which it seems I can't do anything with! Great Atlantic = Great Scam!
