When I answer the phone and ask if they would not call this number anymore, they hang up the phone, with no response. I get about 4-6 calls a week from this number.

I got a call from this number, tried picking up, the dialer must not have registered my voice. When i called the number it was just a busy signal. Anyboy have any idea what company this # belongs to?

Just recieved a call from this number (listed as CALIFORNIA CALL on my ID). I would guess its hooked into a predictive auto-dialer as when i picked up and said hello 3 times i still got no response (meaning that dialer didn't predict as many people would pick up in a given time as they did). When i called the number back it was just a busy signal.

Has anyone gotten a name of the company thus far?

This very same thing just happened to me, what can we do about it??
916-219-8144 This is the number that I received a calls from as I do about 2 times a week. This time I pressed "1" and asked to be taken off the list & the woman hung up on me.

When I called it back it said tha the caller was outside of a service area. The second time I called with my number blocked using *67 and it said that my call could not be completed as dialed.

I have received calls from 916-219-8144 once or twice weekly for the past several months. The caller ID lists the phone number. If I answer the phone I am asked to renew my auto warranty. Interestingly enough, the most recent auto warranty I had expired over a year ago. I complained to my Toyota dealer where I bought the car and they said this was an indepenent company who got my info from the motor vehicle department. I have spoken with someone at this number three times and asked them not to call any longer, but the calls keep coming in. I just received another call and tried to explain to the respresentative that I was not interested and that I wanted my name off the call list and she said she couldn't help me and hung up on me. This is very irritating.

I did not answer and there was no message. I do believe this number has called me before

Thank you for your input. This came in on my caller id unit as a cellular call. This will help me to ignore this caller in the future.

A recording about auto warrenty.I just  hang up.My car is 14 years old.Who wants to issue warrenty on that?I am on National Do Not Call list.

Recorded message telling me that my vehicle warranty was expired and asking me to press "1" to renew the warranty.  I pressed "1" and asked to be taken off the calling list.  The man immediately hung up on me.
