My aunt was involved in the same con. Not long after being scared into paying a couple hundred dollars, fraudulent charges from VCollect started to show up on a completely separate bank account. They charged 5 times over a few months. After alerting the bank the charges were reversed. The scammers then contacted the bank with a copy of her drivers license. The charges were reinstated and her local branch told her they would not help her.

In my own searching I have found the person behind these scams to be involved in lead generating websites. It is possible the scammer is receiving personal info from these websites and can attack your other bank accounts. Please do not give anything over the phone to anyone claiming to be affiliated with Vcollect-inc or ICollect-inc, another one of their websites. If you have already been in contact with these fake debt collection sites I would carefully monitor any bank accounts connected to your name.

i got a phone call from max clinton as well but the phone# was (347) 827-3814 he said i owed on a cash advance loan and he knew my social security # and read it off to me and he had called me on my cell he told me if i don't make payments of $120.00 dollars a month i would be prosecuted and go to fedral prison the call was from new york by the area code he said he was with the department of investigation i told him i can't afford that monthly payment so he settled for $50.00 for the first payment and $120.00 a month after that so they debited my account for the 50.00 and after that i closed my old account and opened a new one then the first of the month they tryed taking 120 out with no success and another company tried taking out 380 and they are both are named Vcollect # (888) 528-3690 and yes they can not be understood language wise then when max clinton found out they couldn't draw on my account he called my cell and said they put a temporary freeze on my social security # so i called social security and told them what he said and they told me that only the fedral goverment can do that i looked up Vcollect and they are a scam to social security gave me this phone # for fraud 1-800-269-0271 and like a lot of you the so called collection company said they didn't have to send me any paper work i hope what i am about to write helps all the victums in these scams YOU CALL YOUR BANK AND REPORT FRAUD OR SCAM AND YOU WILL HAVE TO OPEN NEW ACCOUNTS BUT THEY CAN RETRIEVE YOUR MONEY FOR YOU AND PUT IT IN YOUR NEW ACCOUNT IN 1 TO 2 DAYS! i hope this helps anyone who reads this

WARNING... SCAM ALERT!!! They first call saying there a legal department and they are going to sue you and then ask if you have a lawyer! They ask you to verify all your personal information... name, address, email, SSn number Bank account number... DO NOT VERIFY... if you do they have you for id theft. These people are SCAMMERS telling people they owe for a payday loan but not giving any information about the loan date or account money was deposited into!!!.

some guy name kevin called me with a heavy accent..said they were going to sue for payday loan ... I never took out a payday loan...  Scam

I received the same call from a kevin tompson of amerial legal services stating they where calling about a legal matter that I owed them money.  They also called a friend of mine with the same statement.  They ask to speak to my manager on my job as if I would transfer the call.  For about a week or so they stopped, but, last week and today it started again.  I am reporting them to every agency I can, and I will tell them next time they call.  Please someone tell me how to resolve this.

these are indian basterds trying to scam.  They harrased me and family.  when i hung up the phone on them, they called back and started cussing at me.  If i can only get my hands on them i would rip their tounge out.

I got tired from those guys over the weekend after weeks getting the calls (that I don't answer but they leave me the threatening voice-mails). I decided just to start dialing their number with *67 in front of it to hide my number, and set up an autodialer on PC. That number that I called is now stating 'switchboard message, number no longer in service'... :)

Initially, they answered still the phone, and went on tirades, like Americans are stupid, F* americans. Yeah, that helped their case. That was only more proof it's one big scam ring.

If we all do this, it's going to be very annoying for them.... LOL

I have been calling all the scam debt collector numbers on this website and leaving them messages, pleading to not sue me, I'll pay whatever they want, and then leaving them a call-back number of the FBI field office in my state.

916 226 9823 IS PAC BELL AND PAC BELL COMM 3 CONTACTED ME BACK CONCERNED. THEY INDICATED THEY ARE INVESTIGATING THIS SITUATION. FURTHER MORE, THEY CONTACTED THE ELK GROVE POLICE FOR ME. I DONT LIVE IN CALIFORNIA.

I got the same A Hole Mike Anderson that left message #2 verbalized my social x2. WTF... The man states he is a Mike Anderson. Sounds like a Saddam Hussan To me! This could be part of terrorism! I don't give this creep the time of day. I informed my employer about this. I also contacted the attorney general, federal trade commissioner and the better business bureau about this crap. I also have an attorney working with me with another matter, I informed him about it.

I notified my phone carrier as well to simply document and trace suspicious numbers. Next I am going to the police and notifying my bank. I suggest you do the same. :)

i too have this person calling me all day long. i checked the payday they said the lender was "cash advance" whom i called and i do not have any loan with them.they ent me a email from their attorney which said that the files were either sold or stolen,and to report them to the fbi. which means there are a lot of people being harassed.they have went under morgan & associates and now under american legal services.

I just received a call from an Aaron White also claiming to be from American Legal I just keep hanging up on them and then they called me the other day from some cell phone talking about that they are from New York Legal Department I told them to KISS MY BUMPER

so they scared me and i had no idea what was goin on so they took 200 from me yesterday and expect 200 every friday for 3 weeks! is this really a scam beacuse i have no idea whats goin on and i cant understand them.

Someone named Aaron called me last night from American Legal with that same ole script on my voice mail.  Called this morning, same guy answered and said his name was David and that he was an attorney and Aaron was his paralegal.  Then he went into that his routine.  When I called his bluff, told him I knew they were scammers, he got irate, started cussing.  I laughed and told him goodbye and have blocked this new number!

this is kind of fun- I call them back on a back number that they don't know- then I harrass them...at somepoint I will use my regular number so they can "see" who is calling...give them their own crap back they have been turned into our state's attorney general office

This caller (he called himself Mark Anderson but previously identified himself as Kevin Jones, I guess he changes his name periodically) keeps calling to harass a coworker of mine. I answer the phones and when I asked this man to please stop calling (after having recieved several calls from him in the last week), he called back 5 times in the span of a minute yelling at me. This guy is nuts and I would report him to the police if I thought it would help. He once told my coworker that he hoped "God would have mercy on her" if she didnt return his call. VERY shady.
