Called at 5:30 on 6/30/2014

Have gotten enough calls to put them on block. Thanks to the info provided by Ron G., I tweet them about their illegal calls every time I see one: @Syntrol. Have at 'em.

Have been receiving calls from this number to my cell phone for several months. Have Blacklisted number on cell, but they continue to call, despite the fact that my cell number is listed on the National Do-Not-Call registry.  This company is NOT complying with best practices and minimum standards set by the DMA (Direct Marketing Association), nor the National Do-Not-Call registry.  Beware !

Put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone..  You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Annoying a**les! I hate all these out of area calls on my landline !!!!!!  A big L for LOSER!!!!!!!!! Dnc does not effin work , but I will block on my Panasonic phone! They can go f themselves!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah .. I got a few calls from these guys as well..  I called them back and asked why  they continue to call and don't leave a message..  . he didn't have an answer..  then they try to sell you solar..  Not a very professional way to start a cold call..
I wouldn't trust them !

If you are in the Sacramento area, anybody who cold calls you and says that they are from "Central" anything is almost certainly from a company that's actually called "Syntrol", located in Roseville.  They have been repeatedly phone spamming me for ages, and they are clever enough to (a) know that what they are doing is illegal and (b) thus try to cover it up by deliberately mis-pronouncing the name of their company so that you will have trouble finding them.

Oh!  And they keep on changing the phone number that their caller-ID says they are calling from, thus making it harder to block them.

Most of their calls are illegal pre-records that talk about your furnace, and say that "Time is running out..." for some sort of (alleged) tax credit.

They are hoping that if/when somebody sues them, they can claim that they did give the name of their company, but they always say "Central" not "Syntrol".

P.S.  Yes, they called me on this number (916-236-4009) again today, for the umpteenth time.  They have been badgering me with these calls for at least a couple of years now, even though I asked them to stop.

If they call, tell them that you previously spoke to "Ruth" and that you want to talk to her again, then post what they say here.  They will probably be shocked to find out that you know who they really are.

If I had time, I Iwould sue them myself.  They are violating the telecommunications privacy act (TCPA) left, right, and sideways.  (It prohibits, among other things, playing a pre-recorded message first, which they do, consistantly.)

Nobody has mentioned that the source of these calls is actually A-1 Solar. Call their Van Nuys office directly and get off their list or better, report them to the Business Consumer Alliance of Southern California?they are paid members and in the past month I've seen their rating drop from an AA to an A (more complaints will hopefully drop it even more). All recent complaints have been regarding robot calls and rude service people. A1 will contact you take your name off the call list if you report them. It worked for me.

Caller from VOIP asking about my electric bills.  As soon as I heard the question, I hung up.  Will just put it on my calls blocked for my home phone.

"VOIP Caller" on Caller ID, unwanted and unwelcome recorded spam robo-call message telling me to "press 1" for more information on homeowners reducing their mortgage interest rate or "press 2" to opt out of this and future recorded sales calls.  

Calls a couple time a day. Never leaves messages. These jerks need to check the do not call list before calling people.

i have signed up as of 30 minutes ago, and have high hopes now of getting rid of these telemarketers. its so annoying to work at home and get these calls sometimes a dozen times a day.

The CID was "VOIP" and (916) 236-4009.  The recorded pitch was for a solar system installations to get tax credits.  I pushed "1" for further information (By the way, if you are on the Do Not Call list, pushing "1" for more information or verbally agreeing for the more info does NOT apparently affect your right to file a complaint or sue).

A man named "Brian" or Bryant" came on and asked the usual qualifying questions (Do you own.., What is your tax status...etc).  After much verbal probing by both parties, the man said he was from Central Solar, based in Sacramento.  I got no Google response to this name.

Stop these calls.  I get this call every day.

Robocaller who violates latest FCC Telephone Consumer Protection Act Rules. This is a marketing firm that resells information about people who express interest in solar energy for their home. They want information about you, such as PG&E account number, but, they will not tell you who they work for, nor their company name. BEWARE of This SCAM.

Do not answer calls from this number and do not call back. Received call from this number and stayed on to get information. This is an independent Marketing Contractor who is obtaining leads for an unknown company that is selling Solar Energy products, presumably to homeowners. Contractor is using a robo-caller, which may not be legal in California.

You are correct, but reporting them on the DNC list is worthless.  Your politicians created that to make you feel like they're doing something, not to stop the telemarketing.  It worked until the telemarketers figured this out.  I have reported hundreds of these types of calls and not one has ever had any effect.

My phone lets me block calls.  It rings once and when the caller ID kicks in, no more rings.

It's because of idiots like these guys that I never answer my phone.  The ringer volume is set way down low so it won't bother us.  Any legitimate person who calls us just has to start talking and we'll likely pick up or call back.  It's sad that these folks exist and that they are allowed to disrupt our lives.

Very nice telemarketers seeing if I would like to save money with solar.  Just another person working in this country trying to earn a living. Better than them mooching off our government.  I can't get solar right now but I respect these people who are making our country a better place.

unwanted call that apparently wanted voicemail as they would not identify themselves and then hung up.  Did a search for the number and it appears to be a telemarketer for a solar company.

Called me on my house phone I have been getting calls from this number a lot now it's starting to bug me!!!
