Same here. No caller ID. They have been calling for weeks and when I answer the telephone, no one is there. BEWARE.

I rec'd a couple calls in a row. I said, "Hello?" Male voice said, "Hello?" I said, "Hello?" Male voice said, "Hello?" Like he couldn't hear me. I hung up. He called back, repeated the above. I checked my phone to see if I had pressed "mute" by accident. nope. I let the next few calls go unanswered.

He's a hispanic male that claimed he was working for Univision and knew my fathers name.

I got the call at 4:22 this morning. Woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep. They hung up before I picked up.

I keep receiving calls from this number as well, whenever i answer the caller hangs up, when i call back i get a message saying i need to dial a one before the number (even though its in my area code), when i dial the number with a one, i get a busy signal.  My caller ID says: SERVICEPROVIDER.  Whoever this is, its most likely a scam artist, beware!

I just received a call from this number and they hung up after 5-10 seconds. Weird. No one spoke. I guess I am not alone

I had over 12 calls in the matter of 30 minutes. All the calls were 10 seconds in length followed by the phone being hung up.  White noise in the background sounded as if the person was in the car.

When I answered, the woman on the other end kept saying "hello" as though she could not hear me.  This happened twice in a row.  Lots of background noise

Received a call from a heavily accented male possibly from India.  Asked what make of copier I had.  Denied it was a solitication.  I told him it was none of his business.  He agreed but insisted I know where he was from.  Told him I couldn't understand him and if it was none of his business, he should leave me alone.  Hung up.  He called back twice.  Once saying, I think, something about hell.  Hung up.  Can't call the number.  Goes dead.

a hispanic male speaking spanish claimed he was from Univision, knew my dad's first name said he was a .... found out his 559 682 4972 number belongs to a geographic level 3 communications llc company so maybe tats how he gets our numbers. his 237 is in rio linda on Est. cross road is 10th. i live in sac so might check it out and i work for the city.

I've had a number of telemarketers call lately, so I don't usually answer if I don't recognize the number...I had two calls from this 237-1402, but they don't leave message.  Unfortunately, I know nothing about the caller but the number...I'll post again if they call back.

The phone just made switching noises and then automatically hung up. No phone ever started ringing.

Got a call from this number today at 1:30 pm.  Man's voice.  Said my first name as if he knew me.  He said he was calling from London. He sounded like I should recognize his voice and when I asked his name, he said "John."  Same white noise/static in the background.  My caller id showed this number as being located in Rio Linda, CA, near Sacramento.  When I couldn't hear him or he wouldn't answer me after a few seconds I hung up.

A little creepy.

I got a hang up call from this number and then about 3 minutes later I received another hangup call from 000-000-0000, as shown on the caller-ID. Weird.

I've had several calls from this number looking for my son who has a Chase credit card and was late on his payment.  Foreign sounding woman, boiler room background noises.  The number, 916-237 is an exchange operated by Pac-West Telecom, not AT&T.  They have exchanges all over California and probably use a local exchange to get you to answer the phone since most unwanted calls are 800 numbers.  PacWest does offer VoIP, a cheap way to get local numbers.

i believe the same woman called our house looking for my husband today the 22nd at 12:06 pm, but spoke in spanish. as i can speak it also, i tried to clarify if it was a legitimate call, but she was very evasive and said she was from "a something something cultural center". as we have ties with a cultural center, but i didn't understand what she wanted, i told her to call back and leave a message for him, but she didn't.

Received multiple calls on Sept 27, 2007 around 8:30 Pm. Possibly spanish accent and hard to understand. Background noise sounded like a possible "phone bank" of some sort. might have been offering a "free trip" if you join something. When we didn't answer the phone they would hang up on the 3rd ring (before the answer machine picks up).
