these bit%$%*%*%%^ keep calling me and saying the same thang. iTold him were i work and that i'm gona have the lawyer to look at my records and call them back. they called back the next day with the same mess................. i messed them up bad told them i know where there are and i'm sending cops outthat way do to the fact they are harrssing me they call my a bi@@@@@@ and hung up

Some guy by the name of "James Nelson" called me last week on my cell phone twice and each time left me harassing messages urging me to call back immediately or else.  I called back but no one answers.  It rings and beeps.  Who ever this is needs to be caught and beaten!  Jajaja.

I got 4 calls today alone. All stating that he was from State attorney's office and that my attorney had to call them back kor I will be arrested. I have not called back.Should I call the local FBI?M7Y

I received a phone call from them today 11/05/2012, The individual was veeballt abusive, I do not think he was rwady for my mouth and the words that came out of it. He call me a w***e; Once i got finish with him and his dirty mouth......let's just say he's probably chewing on orbit.

These guys have been calling my work and cell. my manager answered and started to mess with the guy asking for his badge number. the guy then said that the company was in trouble and that it was legal matters. we asked for the info on the matter and he refused to give up any info. my manager called him back about 10 minutes later and asked for a person named "gumpta" The guy said are you f****ng kidding me and then said im his daddy and do you want to talk to his mom. you could hear them in the backround before hanging up laughing and said hang up the f****ng phone now. total scam. don't believe.

I also recieved a call today from this person, the thing is, I haven't taken out any internet loans! He claimed his name is Robert Caston.

This people are crazy just got a call from this number and they left me a message that I was going to jail and all kinda things I knew it was a scam lol I'm at work lmao scam scam

I got the same call 20 minutes ago and I called the FBI and gave them the number they told me other was a scam and t not answer when they call.

I just gory the same call, from 916-238-8143 stating that I owe money and I have an hour to pay $5,000 or I would go to jail.

I got called this morning by this number.I was receiving these same types of calls right around a year ago. They were from several different area codes and phone numbers. They were calling me at home and work claiming to be from "The Department of Law", saying I was facing federal theft and larceny charges.I knew it was total BS! It got to the point where I would call back and threaten them! One of these people didn't back down from me. He would just call back over and over. The crazy thing was that he was calling from different numbers every time. Numbers like 00000, 12345... He would call  and it would show even up as my own cell phone number or work number! This guy cracked one day and admitted he was Arab and hated Americans. He was here to follow through on 9/11, so he said.. I called the local FBI office and talked with an agent. Anyways the calls stopped till about 2 weeks ago. I started getting calls from these people saying I was approved for grants and loans and this and that... Different area codes and phone numbers like before. Same people with heavy accents with names like John Smith or Erik Brown! So the call today turned out to be the first threatening call I've gotten since last year. I called him back and he didn't answer. I called five more times and left messages threatening him just like he did me! That's how you deal with them. HARASS them and don't back down! It's obviously a scam! Ask for badge numbers or other credentials. That really pisses them off! They have some kind of tool to where they can make their number show up on caller id as whatever they want.Just be more aggressive and combative than them. They're nobody, just sorry a** excuses for con artists!

A Chris Miller called me indicating that the police were on their way to arrest me because I owed $750 on loan and never paid it back. He wouldn't tell me the loan company name or when I took the loan out except to say I took it out over 3 years. He wanted my address so that the police could pick me up. I do not owe any money to these people. This has scared me to death. The company was somewhere out of California. And this was supposedly a lawyer firm.

I have got calls from this number also I have reported it to the ftc but I also have them on tape making threts who ells should I call to report this?

This number keeps calling my phone and it says it's from California and it's 8:00 my time which means it's 6am their time and I know no one is calling from california that time of the morning. The male doesn't speak fluent English and they say it's from an attorney's number but will not give the name of the firm.

I received the same call and the caller mentioned the same thing. I don't answer, I let the call go to PocoMail. He said that this was the last call, good! I was going to return his call anyway!

What a relief!! I just got 3 calls from this James Thomas with a horrible accent and Mike Lowry dudes that left me a voicemail. I was worried hearing that I had a lawsuit against me! I called back and asked what it was all about and after him telling me to wait to ask questions after he was done he began by saying "there are 3 charges/cases" but after that I couldn't hear him. So of course I interrupted and said "sorry, i couldn't hear you" he said something about being arrested and hung up on me. I was soooo mad! Called my mom and she called it a scam. I just had to be sure and now that I know I'm not the only one, I'm relieved!

Now his name has changed a few times but just recently its Shawn Carter from Anderson law associates

I will squeeze some info out of him and track him down and when i do i will fly to india and hang him in is front yard for his country to see and then im pretty sure the calls will stop.
Our goverment has the meens to find these people but they just sit on there a***s and do nothing therefore we sould make an example out of these idiots who bother us at all hours of the day and night and make us look like fools at work calling and talking to our bosses and waking our children in the middle of the night with there calls

A James Nelson called from this number, looking for a former employee. They had left a voice mail, I called them back to let them know the employee no longer worked for us. When they answered I told them about the call and she didn't work here, he laughed and said ok and hung up on me. So.. i smelled a scam and then I found this website..

I recevied a call at 5:00 pm at home from a michel brown stating he was an paralegal.  I was told that I was going to be arrested today and was charged with felony charges. I had no idea what he was talking about or who they were. He stated that they felt very sorry for me . I told the caller I have not recevied any legal notice or action from anyone. The caller told me he will read a legal affidative to me with charges. I then placed the phone on speaker with my husband. The caller freaked out that my husband was going on the line and became angrey. He told my husband this is not a game and my huisband called his bluff and said send them now.. send us all your info and they hung up. I called them back and there number would not pick up. This is a big scam and a horibble scar tactic. These people just want your money and try to use fear to get your money. if you ever get this call call the federal goverment and report them like I did.

This is a definite scam. I received  call earlier in the week from some other guy with an Indian accent,could hardly understand him. He threatened me with jail, having my disability taken away from me, calling my employer. I have been on disability for 12 years. He is a total jerk! He cusses at you and tries to scare you, this call was from DC. He claimed to be an attorney with Winston and Associates. There is no law office in DC with that name, they are in Dallas and they never heard of these men.

Tonight when I returnede home this phone call was from Rio Linda California. This type he was from the State's Attorney's office. Another crock, I refuse to be intimidated by him or any other creep that does this.

Besides since when does the state's attorneys office work on Saturday and harass people.

I have called the police, the sheriff's office and filed a complaint with the FTC.

This is a scam called in to you on VOIP line,please don't let these people get away with this.

I received 2 calls, one on each cell phone.  The initial call was from "Alan Smith" representing Anderson Law.  When he got me he asked in a very heavily accented english for my personal information.  I informed him I did not give personal information over the phone.  He asked why and I hung up.  When the second call came in I didn't answer.  Then I called the number.  An english speaking man answered and asked if I was.. with ssn ending in xxxx.  I said yes he said there is as lawsuit against me and please wait.  I could hear noise in the background.  I asked who he was, answer State Attorney....  I asked of.... answer "Your Mama B***h", and hung up. COntacted my Bank to alert them to a possible withdrawal.  I am considering call the police.

I RECIEVED A CALL ON 10/20/2012 THREATENED THAT I OWE MONEY. WOW WHAT ASCAM THIS IS.  This is a must everyone out there should report this to the FTC.

oct.19 around 9am, i got a call from this number at home and work saying my name and social was under investigation and if me or my attorney didn't call back that i would be in serious trouble and certain charges, called them back and no one answered, my lawyer called and they just hung up haven't got anymore phone calls

Got a call from this number at both work and home, I could tell immediately that this was a fishing expedition to obtain personal information. My voice echoed across the line, I could hear someone whispering to the caller who has the most seriously foreign voice to the point that I asked what country he was calling from. Gave me a bogus american name of James and said he was from some attorney's office and my social security number and other personal information was in jeopardy.  I told him he was full of sh** and hung up the phone.  Needless to say, they have not called back!

they call me last friday and the guy told me his name was johnsmith something about a lawsuit against me i say yea ill have my lawyer call u he called me agai n like 3 mijytues later i didnt answer i called the number the next day it resulted in a beep sound he called me again tody saying he name was steve b.s sme guy with a weird accent told me to call some lawyer nma e mike anderson  but here"s the "f" part he told me to called the smae number tyhe dumb "a" called me on so when i called he didnt answer law office of so mkie or whatever his name was told me i would be arreated something about payday advances so after i argued for about 3mis i hung up so i goggled the number and omg the reports i read so i called the number back and told he i knew his scam he hung up. i hope they catch his low down dirt a and he pays for what he did to innocent people shame on the idiot.

my sister received a call from this number stating that it was the attorney's office of Alex something or other. They informed her she had an outstanding payday loan, and if she did not pay them within 4 hours the police would be at her house. I called the number once, it went to a voicemail that just beeped. The second time I called he answered how may I help you. I informed him that  he is to cease and desist contact with my sister. that has this been a debt that he had violated FDCPA rules and regulations, and that if he continues to pursue her, he would end up being sued. To that he said "f*** you bi***" and hung up.
