yes they are so  stupid some dude name alex cooper talking about i owe them money and they give me an hour and if i dnt pay i will have the police arrest me from work and it will be an ackward moment for me..so i laughed and then he said you think it's fun I said yes very funny. So I hung up the phone.I call back from a different number within an hour time and the same guy answer the phone but this time his name was alex johnson. instead of cooper. so please be advised that these people are all scammers if they continued to call u call the FBI or the CIA to investigate.

The same thing just happened to my wife on the phone .They said they were calling from the LAW office of Adam Spencer 760-483-3764 . YOU CAN'T CALL THIS # IT DOESN'T RING THRU Pretty much the same thing was said on my answering mach then my wife picked up the phone and talked to a person whom she could hardly understand . something about SSN#'S and being sued. All i can say is beware people of this SCAM.

I have received a call from Alex Cooper saying that he is with the California State Attorney's Office and that I owe them money for a California Cash Advance loan that I did not pay. He also said that the sheriff's is on my way to my home to arrest me and he hung up. I called the California Cash Advance Office to find out if I ever did a loan through them and they said no. I then contacted the States Attorney's Office to inform them of the situation and I have also contacted my local Police Department. The phone number that Alex Cooper was calling me from was a second number of (916) 238-8143. I have been informed by the local Police Department to do what I have done and if the calls continue just document the day and time that they have called.

got 2 calls from this number and it was a spa in navarra beach fla. why would any body do stupid stuff

Got a call from work about a law office that was trying to sue me but would tell me who was suing me or why. He got angry and said he wanted to speak with my supervisor and was gonna have me arrested at my job if I did not comply. Five minutes later he called back and said he did not want to speak to me but my supervisor and that the police was on the way. I kindly put him on hold and went to get my boss to tell her what was going on. We looked the number up and saw countless complaints with the same spiel he gave me. He never called back but when I got home I saw that he called my house twice and left a message. I could barely understand him but he ended the message with, "may God help me". He (Alex Cooper) is disrupting so many lives and possibly causing unnecessary health problems to innocent people. I hope he is tracked down so he can end this madness!

Just go answer asked for Adam Spencer, amazing he was on the phone.  I told him I wanted the law office address...he said no way in hell was he giving to me...by law they have to give it to you when asked.  I told him I knew they were part of a scam....he started laughing and stated yes it was.  what was i going to do about it.  they will never find me........IF these  people call you, stand your ground....let them know you know they are operating a scam......and never call you again.  He cursed me and hung up....PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY........they are not for real.....................

I received a call from John Morrison, they could not give me an address and got very upset with me.  I was told to call this number 916 238 8469 back and ask for  ext 101 and talk with adam spencer.  I have had no luck in getting anyone to answer.  They are scam group, do not give them any money.  They do not have the right to have you arrested...this is a scare ploy to get you to pay.  They ask for a green dot card.  This is to get your money and you have no way of recovering it.  Contact local authorities in reference to this.  PLEASE DO NOT PAY

I too got this call this morning, they left voicemail also saying I would be arrested...  I called the number back and a guy answered saying it was a law office...  I told him I had looked the number up and it was a fraud comany doing buisness and I had called my local police to make a report......  He hung up on me...

I received a call from a person who said is name was John Morrison and that I owe on a payday loan. I told him I have not taken out any payday loans. John said if i dont pay today he will have the police come arrest me with in 45 min. I told him to call them. He hung up. I called back and another Indian sounding man answered the phone and said he was John Morrison's supervisor and if i dont pay he will call the police on me. I told him Im not paying and to call the police. He started cussing at me and hung up.

I got the same call from a John Morrison calling for a John best or bates, i could not understand him.  He had a very big accent.  He told me my ss# appear and was being sued.  To not disregard his call cuz i would pay for it and good luck if i dont anwser.  I tried calling but just got a beep and nothing else. i tried a second time same thing.  IDK what to do??? I was very scared.  So today I decided to look up name but instead look for number and now I find out I'm not the only one.  Jerks for scaring people.

give that number to all your friends via social media and have them call them...we started calling them back and they actually answered and entertained us while we pranked called them...payback is nice sometimes...we  then hid our number and only got their answering machine...go figure...

Keep getting calls for charlene rogers from this number. I told them they had the wrong number and they tell me i'm lying. They call at least 10 times a day starting at 6 am in the morning. They all have an indian accent and you can hardly understand them. They are rude and keep insisting that I am thisCharlene Rogers and say that I owe money for a payday loan. Please make these people stop!!

I have talked to my co workers but I'm afraid one of these times they are going to get to the HR dept. how do I bring this up to them at work? This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Dude called last eek he said he was Paul walker now different phone number 414-716-1302 stating his name is jack Lewis. He keeps calling my work and leaving messages when he don't get me. Someone times he gets co workers and asks for the hr dept. what can I so o top him??

Some guy called me and stated he was from an attorney's office. He said his name was Alex Cooper and he was a lead attorney for this company.  He stated I have three criminal complaints against me for payday loans in the past.  The complaints were bank fraud, wire transfer fraud, etc.  He stated that if I do not pay 460.00 he was going to have me arrested and sent to jail for six months.  I was devastated and it could have affected my health, but I looked up this number on the internet and lo and behold, it was a scam.  Not only a scam, but a ring and under investigation by the FTC.  This will teach me not to try for a payday loan which is also a scam. There are alot of scammers out there.  Beware, Change your bank accounts, contact the three credit bureaus, protect yourself against fraud.

Caller claiming to be an "attorney" of some kind so I pressed him for information and he said something in a foreign language then hung up on me . Sounded like a call center of some type with all the other voices in the background. Caller kept disconnecting me when I tried calling them back. Report this caller as FRAUDULENT AND CRIMINAL

Some guy with an Indian accent called me, and he called me "John" (my name is nothing close to John). When I pointed this out, he said I was lying and that my name is John. Needless to say, the only thing he did is tick me off. The second time he called I threatened to report him ... no more calls thus far. Actually, he called an left a 10min. fuzzy message a few days ago, I guess the message not addressed as John was not enough to prevent him from calling me ... and telling me what my name is !!!!

they called saying my 79 year old grandma who does not know how to write a check has an outstanding loan for 937 dollars from 2007 and that if we did not pay she was going to jail . I beat around the bush with them saying we have no money and how are you going to take an old lady with memory probs to court he said well we can settle this out of court do you have a wal mart next to your house and asked me to go buy a bill pay coupon and write it out to federal legislation dept then told me not to do that but to call them when I got their for further instruction the number they told me to call back when I got there was 916-238-8469 ext 197 someone please crack these guys!!! they just called me back and I told them your in rio linda california right he said yes I said your also aware your a fraud company right he babled and then I said you have just been reported online he hung up quick...

Just as others were saying. Apparently I am going to jail, but I couldn't understand the foreign a***ole on the line. Now  I'm being harassed by them, they are leaving messages.

I received a call saying that my husband is being sued for a debt and that I needed to call another number. The number I was given to call was (916)238-8469. When I called The "Alex Cooper" informed me that my husband was going to be "put behind bars" if we do not pay him the money that he owes from a pay day loan from check cashing USA and that the sheriffs were on the way to our house right now. I asked what company the loan was through and he just said check cashing USA. After I had told him he did not have a loan and that I do not know what he is talking about he said the sheriffs were on the way talk to them and he hung up. I called back and said I am calling because you hung up on me and he asked my name. I told him my name and he asked what I wanted and I said I wanted to know what was going on. He said it doesn't matter that the sheriffs were on the way. I told him do I need to give you the address so that I can speak to them when they get here so I can report you for fraud, his response was devastating. "what you are home alone and want me to come fu** you? You are going to suck my co** for a dollar? Ok I will come fu** you and make you suck my co** for a dollar you co** sucking mother fu****" and he hung up. This Middle Eastern "Alex Cooper" is obviously disrespectful and devious so please do not give any of your information out because not only did he have our phone numbers, he had our parents phone numbers and my husbands social security number!

I have gotten a call 2 days in a row from "arnold thomas"saying if me or my lawyer doesn't call them back I will be put in jail. I filed a claim with.the ftc. I hope someone can stop them!

I have been receiving calls from these guys for days. I finally just called them back. Talked to a fella named john Morrison. They said I owe an outstanding balance of 2400 dollars for a loan I took out years ago. I found this rather funny considering I never took out a loan in my life. They transferred me to another fella who asked if I could pay the amount today or if they should just have me arrested. I played along saying I don't have a dime to my name. He gave me a half an hour to come up with the money and call him back. What a scam. If they call again I will let them know they have been reported.
