i got call frm this weird number today n i didnt pickup..

This number tried to call my cell @ 9:40 am pacific time, today. I didn't answer.

Got a call today as well. They didn't leave a message.

I just got a call to my cell as well... how very irritating. I called back and it was just hold music.

Just got a call from these guys.. Press 1 to claim ure prize... Waiting.. Said press one to claim ure prize again.. then disconnected on its own...

I am also from Rogers... I'm curious how they got our numbers.

I have a unlisted private cell number from Rogers and I just got called by them.

Looks like someone in Rogers sold the numbers to telemarketing firms.

I'm with Telus and just got the call on my cell.  I don't think its a conspiracy with the cell phone companies, but it's definitely annoying!

Definitely a scam, and the VM stated that I won some frickin trip.
I hung up immediately! But the annoying part is that this is the 2ND call in less than 1 week.
Telus is my provider.

Received a call on my cel, but didn't answer. I suspect that our numbers are all on the Do Not Call Registry. That's how these people got our cel numbers. They're not governed by thr registry because they are not calling from Canada. Future posts, confirm that you registered with the DNC.

Received call on cel. Did not answer. I have been receiving so many of these types of calls in the last week from different numbers.  Did Rogers and TELUS sell out its customers numbers or what?

They called me too.. So far Twice. I suggest never to pick up.

I think KS from Toronto is right.  I'm registered on the new Do Not Call list.  Apparently, scum sucking telemarketers from outside of Canada are buying this list and using it as a call list.  Anyone who thought they were being smart by registering their cell number on the DNC list actually provided it to these @holes.  Well to be clear, the folks managing the DNC list have sold it to them (with the intent that they would NOT call the numbers).

I also received a call from this number yesterday - I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail. (For obvious reasons.)

But I'm a Fido customer! I guess whoever sold the Rogers numbers also sold the Fido numbers.... :(

I received another scam call to my personal cell about 5 minutes ago, also from California. This is ridiculous. And it costs us money if we answer our phones when these scammers call!

Got called 7 pm. Didn't answer, I'm with Telus.

They called but I missed the call.  Caller ID shows "CALIFORNIA"

These jokers called me at work so I told the guy on the other end that I knew where their Sacramento office was located and would come shortly to castrate him and yadda yadda yadda.

Im with Rogers and am not on the DNC list.

just got a call at  1.36pm PSt , on Rogers cell network, answered since it is free incoming and they hung up, googled the nhumber and this thread came up. I also wonder where and how do they get cell numbers, just another junk telemarketer call

I googled the number also, and this thread came up.. I was just curious who was calling me from California, cuz I've had friends and family that live there.. But they don't ever call me (I don't think they even have my new cell number).. I wonder how these people got my number...?  Oh well.. I missed the call anyway, so who cares.

I received a call from that number several times in the last week. I did not answer the call, because I did not recognize the Number.
Those calls are scams and trafficking.

I got the same call on my rogers cell just now , how very irritating . how in the world did they get my number ?!!!    it didnt have a number though , it said 'unknown' caller .   i did press one , but nothing for 2 sec so i hung up quick.

Got a call from these guys, it is a place called 01 Communications, in Fair Oaks, California. Interesting how all this type of thing started since the Do Not Call list was put in place. They must use an autodialer because cell phones are not in phone books. I have been getting a huge number of calls from outside of Canada from telemarketers and scam artists ever since the Do Not Call was put in place.
