Called and left a message saying i had a lawsuit against me and if i didn't act now that a police officer was going to come and arrest me while i was at work.

This man, claiming to be John Andersen with a thick accent called my office and left a threatening message that he was going to take one of our employees to court and he said he was from the State Attorney General's office. I quickly realized it was a scam and am letting our employees know not to answer his phone calls or give him any information. We have also contacted the authorities.

i have been getting calls from this number for about a week now today they left a message telling me that charges were gonna be brought up against me n all i laughed at the dude an cursed him clean out told him u sound like u r trying to pull a scam on me n he hung up...........

Just got a call from a heavy accented person.....what a joke to bad I am on to scammers!!!!

These ppl have been calling me nonstop to and called my job and they say their name is steve henry from the states attorneys office and my legal issue is going to come down on me.. I have no idea who or what they are talking about im a single mom who works hard and has never been in trouble help I dont know what to do they cant keep calling my job!!!!!

Have been receiving bogus threatening calls from these scam artists all week saying I owed them for a loan that I have never taken out and the sheriff is going to come to my house and take me to jail. At least that what I think he said. I got very angry and told him I was not a stupid woman but a very educated woman and was not falling for his scam hung up the phone. 30 minutes later he called back. I asked him in which city was this loan taken out and on what date. He told me I would get that information when the sheriff came to arrest me at which point I told him that i had called my brother who was a police officer and there were no warrants out for my arrest and in america they cannot come to your house and just arrest you without a warrant or cause and i was recording all his calls and reporting him to the FTC, BBB and the FBI. Closed my bank account and changed my phone number immediately.

I would tell them to go f*ck themselves and suck their own dick.

I just got two calls from this number too.  They wouldn't identify themselves, couldn't and couldn't understand the guy very well,  They gave me the last four of my ssn and said I have charges against the ssn.  I was very confused so called my dad, police, and ssn office.  They said they have never heard of anything like this.  I figured that was the case but it makes you say what the hell.

This same fool call me this morning @ 7:25am, he left a message about turning me in to sheriff and legal matters. I've debt with dude for quite a while. I will file a complaint with the FTC, Consumer Complaint Protection Bureau. The date he call was 4/23/2013. Beware their are many more of them lurking out there. Be careful everybody, we've worked very hard all of our lives for retirement and no one have the right to swindle us out for our sweat of hard labor.

I received a message on my work phone to call Mark @ 916-243-5985. So I did and he didn't speak clear english. He was rude and threatened that if I didn't pay them today that I would be arrested at my place of work. I called my husband all upset because I have never been arrested. He called the guy back and told him they will be hearing from our lawyer. I am very upset about this scam and harassment and being threatened.

The man who called tried to tell me he sent paperwork to my house regarding a loan that I never paid back which is funny because I never took out a loan then told me that he has made my local sheriff aware of the situation and proceeded to call me a piece of s***t which we then exchanged friendly words and I told him to go f***k his mother and I will be reporting him and hung up. Like WTF!

This happened to me this morning and when I asked for his supervisor he started callin me names saying that I am an idiot or that I was deaf. Needless to say I looked the number up and I see that I am not the only one.

hahaha.. these people are calling & threatening me. I never borrowed money. this guy then started telling me he wants my P***y. i decided to turn the tables & called them 10 times in a row. they sure dont like that.

I called the # back and the indian gentleman got very defensive with me. I told him that I have reported him to the FBI & that they are tapping my phone and he WILL get caught. I also told him that he is full of s' and that he is a scam artist. "Chris Johnson' raised his voice at me and told me that if he is a scam artist then why am I calling him back? He had a very frustrating tone when I called his bluff. I have put a 90 day alert on my credit w/ Equifax (which also reports info to Experian & Transunion. I also notified my bank.

I received 2 calls from this number today. They left one message stating me or my lawyer needed to call them right away and to not ignore this call.  If I do they wish me good luck as this situation unfold on me,  He never said the company he was calling from. He had a thick accent and I could hear background noise which sounded like a lot of people talking.

Just received a threatoning call this morning. I advised the man "Chris Johnson" who had an Indian accent that I know my rights & I know it is a scam. At that point he hung up on me.

Number called my work left a message saying that there is a case against my name and that I owe them money and also my drivers licenses will be impounded, my Social Security will be taken away, and that if I don't call them back the police will be at my door step. Couldn't even say my name right because he was of Indian background. This is totally getting out of hand, I get these calls at least 3 or 4 times a year. I wish these guys would be caught for fraud!

I have gotten threating calls of Leagal issues from a man with a Indian language.  This is a fraud line.  Reporting to FBI

My daughter & I keep getting these calls, & now they are calling my job.  Something needs to be done about this.  They also had my personal information.  The man who called my job said his name was Brian Reshea said he was the state attorney.  I knew something wasn't right.  I also have a new phone # I'd like to know how they got it.

I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL PHONE CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER TELLING ME THAT THERE IS A LEGAL ISSUE THAT I NEED TO TAKE CARE AND TO CALL HIM PERSONALLY. SAYS HIS NAME IS DEXTER WILLIAMS. VERY BROKEN ENGLISH. HE IS NOW CALLING MY EMPLOYER AS WELL ASKING FOR INFO. SAYS IT IS REALATED TO MY SS#. GOOGLED THE NUMBER AND WAS DIRECTED HERE. I ALREADY HAVE BEEN FINANCIALLY RUINED FROM ANOTHER INDIAN GENTLEMAN AND HAVE CLOSED MY BANK ACCT AND MADE A POLICE REPORT AND MY BANK IS INVESTIGATING AS WELL. PLEASE DONT CALL THIS GUY BACK. IT DOESNT RING JUST BEEPS. I WILL BE TELLING HIM FROM NOW ON THAT I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO THE AUTHORITIES.

I have received several calls in the past 4 days from 916-243-5985 claiming it is a legal matter, When I tried to explain they are calling the wrong number, the guy David Jordan kept saying yeah right, he then hung up on me. I called back and got him again. When I asked for a supervisor, he said he was one, when I asked for his supervisor he said he was the CEO of the company.I asked for the name of his company and he claimed to be with the Attorney Generals Office of California? I told him he was lying and the stop calling me. He called me an idiot and hung up. I have received a total of 5 more calls in the past hour. I just got this phone number a week ago.

I have received this calls since Friday the 29th of April, And I just received another one. When you tell them you realize it's a scam will they stop calling? I guess I better go to my bank and redo my accounts. Very frustrating. EVIL, EVIL people out there in the world.

i got the same call on wednesday, making threats and also left the same threatening voice mail.

I am recieving the same threatening calls as everyone else.

2 msgs were left at my house yesterday from "an attorney n record." When I returned the call I was to d byLouie I needed a lawyer. There were 3 criminal chrgs against me. His accent was so thick I could barely understand him. I kept questioning him. He finally said I could clear this up by paying today. When I kept askinb to whom am I paying, he put another man on the phone who said he was his supervisor. They were now saying they were the legal dept. at CashAvance. Very rude! He said an officer is coming to my employment. My employer will know what kind of person I am. He then hung up on me. This was very disgurbing!

OMG! I cursed these people out they tried to take what I said and turn it around to use it against me and threaten to send the police to my job (which the knew where I worked) or to my home. I cursed him out so bad, told him to send the police here now and have them explain this to me because he is not making any sense at all and he hung up on me. I then called back and he hung up again. They demanded I pay them money from a loan that I applied for online because I was accused of running away with the money and closing my bank account. I said my account is not closed, he asked me did I read the terms and conditions of the loan, I said what loan and he hung up again. He walk me up early with a horrible accent insulting my integrity and messed up my morning having me afraid that since I enter some information online that everyone even scammers have access to my information.  I am thinking of changing my phone # and closing my bank account.  Can't trust anyone. HOW DO WE REPORT THIS MADNESS!???

keep gettting threatening calls from this number he says his name is john smith and he has an accent. he also keeps calls my supervisor and threatening him.

I received a call on my cell while at work so I let it go to voicemail, the next thing I knew they called my office looking for me telling me I was being sued and had 3 criminal charges against me and they had at least the last 4 of my Social Security and I DIDN'T give it to them!!!!! Said that I needed to talk to a Chris Noreaga and the callers name was Mark.  I tried to call them back to get more information and it is NOT an OFFICE.  Started my day off wrong!!!!!

Harassing phone calls. Returned call and was yelled at and accused of harassing them!! Seriously?! They called no less than 10 times just today!!
