Hey, so was I falling for it. But by the grace of God just before I responded to it I forwarded it to a friend of mines and she let me know it was a scam!!

Susan, I received this same email but now he is using the name DAVID NIGEL!! This could have easily drew me in, but thankfully I forwarded it to a friend of mines in Arizona, and she let me know right off the bat that it sounded fishy.

I took it to the bank and told them the situation and they could tell it was fake.  They told me how to proceed and they were going to also take some steps in catching this guy.

Have you tried to cash it?

So was I until I felt something in my stomach telling me it wasn't right.  Glad you caught it before she went to far.

I received the same message last week and his name was David Nigel, everything else is the same.  I decided to do a reverse number search and I found this page.  Thank goodness he didn't get any personal info.  All I know is he has a copy of my resume which is how he sent me that email.  Who offers jobs to people without speaking to them in some capacity...

I just received a cashiers check from him, I am in the Indianapolis area.

Told my family I would beleive it when I received the money, aparently the money is as fake as he is.

Well after replying back to his e-mail with more questions and who exactly was the recruiting firm that "so-called" recommended me for this position he has not answered back.  I doubt he will either.  I only hope that no one falls for his little prank.

Yea he said the cashier check he sent must of got lost in the mail too.  He is going to send another one, I should recieve it by Monday or Tuesday.

He just sent me another e-mail stating that time is of the utmost importance in securing office space.  I am replying to him with quite a few more questions.  I have not received his "cashier's check" yet, he states it may have gotten lost in the mail and he will cancel it and issue another.  Yeah right.....

I recieved a phone call from him last week.  This is a landline number according to Intellius.

I have received the same offer for employment here in the Indianapolis area.  He also called me to see if I had secured office space.  I am waiting on the cashiers check as well.  The phone number is a land line according to Intellius.  I knew something was wrong with the offer.  Just wondering who to call to report him.

You won't believe this.  I just received a phone call from "Michael Osboourne" wanting to know if I had secured office space for him here in TX that he would forward me a cashier's check to retain my services and also a deposit on the office space.  I'm just waiting for the cashier's check so I can either take it to the bank it is drawn from or the post office in hopes that they can track down the purchaser of the cashier's check, if it is indeed a real check.

This guy has a lot of nerve.  I just received a phone call from "Michael Osborne" with a heavy accent (Iranian maybe).  He was checking to see if I had found an office for him here in the TX area.  I am playing along waiting for his cashier's check to either take to the bank or the post office to verify and hopefully trace down who actually is sending this.

It is a scam.  Please don't fall for it.

I too received an e-mail from "Michael Osbourne" offering me the job as his Personal Assistant.  After doing my research, which I'm pretty good at, I also called the international office to check on him, they have no record of him working for their company.  Hope no one falls for this.

This is the third email I received from him saying he needs my help paying the IT people. Dude Americans aren't as f****ng ignorant as u think. So funny that he has a white name but happens to be nigerian and his fake vcm is so unprofessional and only says his first name. Wow. I will be reporting to the secret service.

This is just to let you know that I have sent over your detail to my financier and you should be getting a check in the mail towards the end of the week starting monday.

Also, I will like you to start looking for the office space as soon as possible. It should be in a serviced buiding with janitorial and other services inclusive, with an approximate area of about 1500 square footage of space. The monthly rent should be approximately $3000 give or take few hundreds and the office should be able to fit 6 personnels in an open office plan with space left for two closed offices and a conference room.

I will be ariving the states during the lastweek in November and will be glad if its possible for you to give me a tour. However, before my arrival I will make arrangement for the lease to be signed once you get a suitable office space. Also, by then the IT people should have arrived from Mexico with all necessary equipment they are bringing over to start setting up the server, you will be assisting in getting them settled in.

Once the check arrives nextweek I will give you details on how you will get the funds sent to the IT people after you must have taken out part of your November retainer. In the meantime if you have any question feel free to send me an email and I will respond as required.

Oh my I can't believe I was falling for this!  I know it was a scam when he sent the 2nd email about a cashiers check, and wanting my bank info.

I also recieved an email from a "michael osbourne" with a job offer after recieving my info also from career builder. This is definitely a scam!

He is still advertising but under Michael Osborne.  Scam....

He "Michael Osborne" emailed and said he was forwarded my resume from a recruiter.. 1st of all.. a recruiter would want the commsision and you would need to pass a background check AND do so much as come in for an interview!! 2nd... he was "in Canada" and needs a personal assistant to help him "set up an office" while he is there. YEAH RIGHT! SCAM SCAM SCAM.. PLEASE don't fall for this joker!!
