Claimed to be Dun and Bradstreet, but wouldn't mail any info on their company

Getting calls from this number and when I answer they hang up

We get calls from this number several times a day.  When I do answer there is just static...no one is there.  REALLY annoying!

Not good for an insomniac to be awakened when you just fell asleep. Yes, I know, it was 10:30 in the morning. But leave a message, if this is a bona fide call. However, I suspect that this one is just another nuisance call from some marketing company, I recall having see the number before, and they never leave a message. Just more annoyances to get us through the day.

Spoofed #  CID said  "out of area" yet it was in my area code. So I didn't answer.  I went to record on my answering machine.

I also got a call from them today and a couple weeks ago. I called the number and message said it was an energy upgrade program no agents were available leave a message, I didn't.

I get calls from 916-265-0893 on a daily basis and it always shows "unknown name". I have enrolled more than once on DNC list which seems to do no good. I live in Carmichael, CA.
Whomever calls (probably a computer) leaves no message and so i've started to just double click to hang up on it immediately rather than have it take time on my line at all. This is extremely disturbing and i want it stopped! Any suggestions?

I just received a call from this number (3:15 p.m.) but have it blocked. Really get tired of blocking numbers but am glad I can do it.

What absolute moronic bozo's! So they mistakenly belief we're going to fall for this stupid scam attempt by spoofing a Sacramento area code + ficticious number? WRONG!!! As far as Electricity and Area Utility companies are concerned ... I already have their phone numbers so I can contact them if need be.

This isn't the first time such idiots have spoofed a Sac, CA area Area Code and number either. Since the first attempt by these brainless idiots (or any other spoofing a local number for that matter) I have blacklisted each spoofed number + blocks of them on the service I use... all tese jacka**es get is a disconnected number message each time they try.  Thank God for services like this one I use and Google Voice! I discovered their little failed attempt when I checked the Call List with the service I use and saw "Unavailable (916) 265-0893 July 27th, 2012 at 1:22 pm" with the spoofed number in red letters indicating it was already blacklisted! Geez, what total moron's these bozo's must be! They either just don't get it or love hearing the message (plus SIT tone) they keep getting.

I have to laugh because I know EVERY number for EVERY business I have anything to do with here locally as well as every neighbors, friends, family number too!!! And yet, these neanderthal like idioots seem to think I'll pick up and answer (or call back) if I see an unfamiliar number (along with the area code for the area (general) I am in)? Once again, wrong!!! They'll never get it because they are too lazy, stupid and criminal to ever be able too!!!

Hi-thanks for reporting it. I too get calls from this number and don't answer. They never leave a message.

I have been receiving phone calls.  Reported it to the Sacramento Sheriff's and Sacramento PD.
