I got a call from Mark Williams at 916-282-3144. It was an Indian guy who could barely speak English clearly. He did say that I owe him money and that I need an attorney to call him back or otherwise I would have police at my door to arrest me.  He said I needed to return the call to 916-538-7239.

Got 5 or 6 calls from them tonight at my job. Same thing, I have a lawsuit against me for not paying Susquehanna Bank money I owe them & all that good stuff. Yea, I haven't had this bank account for even 6 months yet, I owe nothing! Threatening to have the sheriffs banging on my door & taking me to jail. Told him to send them, & I will be waiting to see the sheriffs at my house. They had all my information, everything. Ya know, people do buy your information off the Internet. I think Internet use has gone way too far in this day. It is good to keep in touch with people far away, buy your groceries & stuff off the Internet if you aren't able to go out & do it yourselves, but with all this other crap, like, buying your information & s*** like that, it's too bad that they go too far with this stuff. Even your court records are public! That's something I don't like, either. Technology has reached a certain limit in some inappropriate ways! & people do buy your information & see your court records PUBLICLY! People are crazy these days! You'd be surprised!

I have gotten 4 calls from them today, saying I have a lawsuit against me from a CashAdvance.usa. That they are sending papers to the local sheriffs office and an arrest Warrant would be issued in my name. That if I didn't have a lawyer one would be appointed for me. They had the last four digits of my social security number along with the bank that I bank with. They also had my email address. The guy on the phone was reading me all these charges that was suppose to be against me. He wanted me to pay $960.00. The guys name is David Cooper,  a lawyer in the Sacramento, Ca area.This person is a scam er, report him.

On 9/7/2012 i got a call from  916-282-3144 and they said i was being charged with 3 counts of fraud, for the payday loan thing and would be arrested, they had me going for a bit till i called a lawyer... My computers is hacked they traced to the city of Hyberabad in India. On 9/10/2012 i got a call with a long number 1131-080-1669#xxx-xx-x762#3031 i look at it and about s*** my pants the center set is my social security number, now tell me is that not hacked my whole life is... Today 9/11/2012 i was able to trace the call to where the call came from its 855-383-7239 when i call it all i get is a recording that says a repersenative will be with you shortly in the order of that it is recieved.. Of all the organizations that you would think would help you, your internet and phone company (AT&?)  throw their hands up to you....(motherF...ingsorrysorryas.............!) you think the country is turning communist..

I just recieved a call from thear b*****ds just now n im so glad i decided to look it up on line!   Shud I make a police report on this??   I hav never delt with anything like this before :-(

We have been getting these calls as well, broken English, threats, etc...With all the complaints filed, police, FTC, why is nothing being done? I am changing my numbers Monday.

I was recently scammed by a different piece of crap company and it was out of Canada but I mostly spoke with an american man until I started to get a clue then he asked me to speak with his supervisor who was Canadian so when I got this call from a man that i could not understand except for law firm, time sensitive and do not disregard this message I kinda just laughed and thought not again, I think he said that his name was David. It is sad these people live to ruin the lives of others and they know it and they do not care. At the end of the message after listening to it a few times I realized he said that "the only thing I can do for you now if you do not call me back is wish you good luck as this situation unfolds on you" what a jerk they are just trying to scare us into sending money

I talk about this number called to my work any time and talk to me like very agresive I start to my work at 3 pm and these guys Or this number called and morning and insist evry single minute his voice look like indian men thank you

Do you think maybe there's more Indian people just calling other people? You never know if these kinda people will go & hire people to make more harassing calls on scams. & possibly start getting different foreigners (maybe Americans, too) calling people as well. You never know what people can do these days.

i been getting calls from this # 916-282-3144 claiming that i have some debt wont say for what its very funny that he gave me a name DAVE but he has a very heavy indian voice its a scam.i am glad that the FTC is on to these criminals.

I got a a call just 2 days ago with this guy at work.  Scared the $#$ out me, until I started checking into the number.  First he said his name from Adam Jones, then told me I had to call David Cooper.  After I realized this was a scam, I called and made out a report with my local police department and they told me this was the 5th call he had that day.

a indian man just called me said i would be arrested and said he was a paralegal. he said i would be arrested when I called him out on the scam. he said I should talk to investigation team. and when asked what investigation team he could not answer me and continued to tell me I would be arrested. this is a scam. I am 100 percent sure I will not be arrested tomorrow. I wish i knew how to stop this. I was lucky enough to be prewarned by my sister that got the same call at her work and she lives florida, and i live North Carolina.

received a call from them at my job today before close time. they were yelling at the manager demanding to speak to me. like wtf. i got on the phone he screamed at me. like very inappropriate time & place to call me. at 9:50pm at my job. business hours are supposed to be from 8am till 4pm. no business is open so late at night.

My husband got a call today from David Cooper who said he was an attorney from California. Said if my husband didn't pay 300.00 by 3:00 today they would come and arrest him on 3 felony counts. Said he owed for a cash advance that he did not pay back. He never got a cash advance.

The worse thing here is that this guy (with the Indian accent) have her private information and really scared her with the "I am a lawyer and you are gonna be arrested for not paying your debt". I received a call to my job stating I would be arrested at 3pm because of bad checks, payday loan that has not been paid and many other false charges. Any way I googled the number and saw this site!thank goodnessits a fake call. The first call was a man telling he was a paralegal for david cooper, well both these men sounded indian and they said they had been send emails which I never received. Watch out ppl. This all went down after I requested a pay day loan

I received a call from an Indian man, who asked me to call back and ask for extension 121. I did an the same man answered stating he was David Foster. He claims that I have 3 criminal charges against me and that a warrant will be issued for my arrest and I will be extradited to California, by 3pm this afternoon.

He states that I took out an online loan that has not been satisfied. I have taken out one online loan, that was satisfied months ago.

I have tried to call back again and the number just rings busy. I have contacted my local police department.
I was able to speak to the Fraud Department, they gave me the number to the Federal Trade Commission,

Place called me 4 times left 2 threatening messages about charges and force against me.  I barely couldn't understand the guy and I could here other teleworkers making the same call in the back ground.  So I knew it wasn't a law firm.  Threatening me is a no no i do not respond well to that. I called back 4 times first time it was busy the second and third time it didn't go thru fourth time I got someone.  He claimed to be the attorney of the law firm WITH NO NAME.  Continued to try and sound professional told me he had my ssn from his client but couldn't provide it... I let him ramble for a minute then asked what was the reason for his call... He could not tell me nor could he tell me who his client was but demanded many so I began to get IGNORANT (just to oiss him off).  He hung up on me.  Now I can't get thru.

8:30am is 8:30pm in India. The con artists have slept all day & now it's time to do a dishonest nights work. They're pulling an all-nighter- Don't answer, or call back, numbers you don't know.

this guy called me at 830am my time which would be 630 am their time in Sacramento california saying that they have criminal charges lawsuit agains me and that i need to call back and talk to a guy named David Cooper to get the matter taken care of and trying to get me to send them some money to make it all go away and i have never been on that side of the United states. The Attorney Generals office needs to track them down and prosecute them for trying to scam and rip off innocent people .

Let your boss know that this is an international extortion scam and you are just one of thousands of innocent victims. Print off this thread and give it to him.
