I just got a call from Mr.James Martin, and when you try and call back you can't, I thank you all for notifying me of the obvious fraud.

I received harassing calls from this number on my cell phone AND AT MY JOB! They were told to stop harassing me at work as it is against the law.

The "Guy" Mark stated THAT I HAD A LEGAL ISSUE THAT needed immediate attention. When I spoke to this company again on Saturday I told them that they needed to take me off of their call list because they were not going to bully and harass me into anything. The person that I spoke with called back and acted like an idiot. I then started calling them back non-stop. They kept hanging up on me and then finally one of the foreigners decided that belligerence was a better way to speak to me. The terms he used are FAR TOO CRUDE for me to post. I did however tell him that he needed to get a real job and go back to his OWN COUNTYRY and pull this crap on someone who would belive him.

Calls my work number, states they have a lawsuit against my social security number, and to call back on my cell the 916-304-2181.  Would not tell me his name except he is a paralegal with the Law Firm of Johnny Best out of CA and would not inform me who the suit who was filing against me.

They called me today telling me on my voicemail that their was a lawsuit against my name and my social security number. Who sayd that? I was a victim of a different scam that happened 2 weeks ago. They all have the same accent, and all of them have American Names. I did not call them back due to the accent, but I did go check this number out first and found this website. They are still using the same number 916-304-2181, and his name was James Martin. Do not fall for this scam, most of what they say does not make sense anyways!  I will also be reporting this, and changing all my information.

Welll this guy called me today left a voice mail. He said his name was mark davis.
Like three months ago i recieved a call from 786-272-something something. This guy was named shawn davis. When i said i was going to bring this phone to the FBI he blocked my number. He said that i took a payday loan (never filled out an application). Then when i tried calling back the 786 number they blocked me.
Now today the 916 number left me a voice mail from a law firm saying the same thing. His name was mark davis in the voicemail. But when i called the number he said his name was Darrell. I was tired of these mothaeffers that i told him my phone calls are all being recorded by the FBI and i cursed him out and closed the phone. When i tried callin back they blocked my number

I have been getting the same types of calls. First it was a lawsuit for my vaginal mesh operations but when I said I never had one they hung up. Just got a call saying he(Indian guy) was from an attorney office & wanted my attorney's name & #. said I was being charged with a identity thief & knew my SSN. I just had someone hacked in my bank acct so I'm getting so pis^ed at these scammers. They need to get a real job so they don't have time for stealing others names. or go to a hard a%% prison so they would see how they like be scammed. I just called back, a Indian guy answered, he wanted to know my name but I wouldn't give it to him. Told him what kind of call I had just got from that number & that I had talked to my attorney & was informed they were a scam & if my # wasn't removed he would be investigating. The reply I got was "Don't call this # anymore & I won't call Yours...It was funny how fast he hung up.

I've received the same type of call, except after the 10x of him calling I decided to play around with him and informed him that my lawyers are sending a subpoena to his work to get the information as well as sheriffs to detain all personale who have stolen my ss#. He stammered a bit and then hung up on me. I waiting for him to call again cause I don't have any loan and especially any payday loans!i!

A man with a very heavy accent left a message for my husband on our voice mail.  It was very hard to understand what he was saying.  The only thing I could understand was that he was calling from the States Attorney's Office and he was going to get arrested and they do not care if he loses his job.  1st of all if he was calling from the States Attorney's Office I highly doubt they would leave a detailed message like that on a voice mail and I highly doubt they would have someone with such a heavy accent making phone calls for them.  I knew it was a scam from the second I heard it.  I contacted At&t and blocked both numbers they call from.  I tried calling them with my number blocked and they pick up the phone and hang it up.

yes i just called that number and he told me the same thing that was his name Dexter Brown i told him you are so stupid and you are scammers do not call my phone noooo more or else i will sue you////

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Called me on Thursday 5/9/13 - fell for it ( a little) - saying there was going to be a warrent out for my arrest if I didn't pay 575.00.  When I was in tears (had a bad week anyway) then he preceed to tell me oh it will be okay let me contact the court and see what we can do.  Call back to phone, oh if you can pay this 575.00 within the hour the warrent will be stop.  Then told me to go to the nearest Walgreens or Meijers and get a reload card (would have to get two - only go up to 500.00 per card) then call him back and they will walk me through it.  Wouldn't do it out of the bank account or anything (yeah too easy to trace).

Today same number (same guy even though he used a different name - Daniell ? this time) yeah they were the same person.  Saying the same thing, left me a message on my cell phone and work voice mail (same as Thursday).   I tried and tried to call them back (a lot of times) sound like someone pick up phone and then hung it up.  left it alone for about an hour or so, called again this time someone answered when asked what company this way (should be telling company's name not just Hello) he claimed it was State Attorneys Office - when asked my name, told him and he said (right away) oh wrong number I will delete it from our database.  Funny - he knew he tried this this pass Thursday.  

ALL BE CAREFUL - when I get off of work I will be reporting this -  BE CAREFUL - will be putting it on facebook also, I will be getting the word out.   HOAX.....

CA, USA. He tells me I'm being sued for fraudulent activity. I live in CANADA. I told him that and he tells me I still need to come California to court. I've never done anything fraudulent in my life. How did he get my # and my SIN

Kept getting calls from this Indian guy ove the past two months.  He left a message saying that hell was going to rain down on me and I was going to be arrested.  I had no idea what the heck he was talking about then they say they are holding criminal charges against me.  Still don't know what they are talking about. Finally they guy says it for something thta took place 2.5 years ago" maybe" or there about.  Yet he suppose to be an attorney.  I asked for specifics and he gave me generals like he didnt want me to know.  Then he threaten to have my licene revoked and get me fired and have me arrested.  Who the hell are these people?

Did you get the name of an attorney?  Did they say yo had a payday loan and you closed your account?

These people are full of scams. I told them that they were scammers and they hung up. However, they continued to call .

These people from that number keep calling me and have called me at my job telling me the same exact things. I don't know how they even got my work number. I really wish there was something that could be done with these idiots.

supposed attorney Dexter Cruize from 916-304-2181 called and said a law suit has been filled against me from a payday loan and when I told him I do not have a payday loan he stated they would send cops to my job to arrest me.

Yesterday I got a call from this Indian guy saying his name is Alex Belton and he wanted to know my fatty name.  He told me almost verbatim what another gentleman said.  He said that I had a judgement against me and whanted to know the name of my attorney.  Today I get a call from James Martin who said he was an attorney and wanted to know my attorneys name because there was a suit against my social security number and that if I didn't call him back that he wouldn't be able to help me and may God have mercy on my person.  HIS NUMBER WAS 916-304-2181.

This number 916-304-2181 started calling my phone first for my husband and after i hit ignore a few times they started calling my husbands phone multiple times a day...he also didn't answer. The guys name was jon martin or something like that, we could barely understand what he was saying because the accent is sooooo bad. He would say that there's a lawsuit against my husband for some kind of debt and they wanted to speak to his attorney by the end of the day and blah blah...which was funny because my husband has no debt at all...it didn't sound right to me so I went online to my cell provider decided to add the extra 4.99 a month for the service to block numbers...we haven't had a problem since, well at least so far...if they decide to use a different number we will just continue blocking them...just thought i would share the idea or anyone else who is being harassed by these obnoxious people!!

Once called and approved me for a loan then a few days later called and said that they were an attorney office and I have criminal cases against me LOL these ppl aren't that intelligent, then when I brought it to there attention I was in a full on argument with them for trying to prove my point NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS

he called me from the 916-304-8121 number and said he was from an attorneys office and then changed it and said he was from a debt collectors office. he said that he was sending the police to my work to arrest me and that i was going to jail for six months and losing my job. and then he hung up on me. when i called the number back and asked to speak to a supervisor he laughed said no you deal with the sheriffs office now.
my number has now been blocked from that number. it was an indian guy.
