On a few occasions, I received a call from this number. The caller ID identifies the number as a local number, but the caller never leaves a message despite my voicemail box NOT being full. I do not recognize the number #(916) 378-4233, either. However, my phone was recently stolen and I was not able to transfer all my contact numbers.

I got a called from this number i answer and the guy was very unproffecional. he told me that i was lying about my history of unpaid balance that has been paid and resolve. I told them i would love for them to take me to court so i can show them how wrong they are when i have proof taht the matter was resolve years ago. He called me a lier and said he has been in the business for 15 years and that he knows people like me just lie all the time.. I just told them i dont have time to argue anymore and i hang up on them. Now they are calling nonstop. Hvent answer since... Maybe i should put a block on that number.. Anyone any suggestions..

Said they were with GMC credit. Asked for verification of my SSI #. That is sketchy, so I so I just told them no. They hung up. It was a local area code, so I believe these are freelance callers.
!!!!!!!!Never verify or give an SSI #over the phone unlessit is a call you made to a government agency . Tell them to mail it. Don' t offer an adress. there are many of these that are B&E setups.

My call screen I.D.s this number as "Out of area" yet it shows as from my 916 area. They never leave a message but have called many times.
