THIS CALL CAME AT 4:07 PM TODAY.  IT WAS A COLLECT CALL FROM SOME UNKNOWN PERSON, PLACE, OR THING.

got a 1-800-collect call from 916-384-9777, the operator said that I had a collect call from eddie I think, I told them that I did not recognize that number, so they asked me to hold while they verified the name, and then the call was disconnected.

I beleive is a detention center in Del Rio Texas anybody Knows the address ?

MYSTERY SOLVED!  OKAY EVERYONE HERE IT IS... AN MCI "generic" phone number used when someone uses the 1-800-collect service.  Even from a home phone land line or payphone.  My ex called from a land line in California, but because he used the 800-collect service, it came up with an MCI number.  Here's the clincher. If you don;t answer, they have the option of leaving a message which will auto dail you back 6-8 times in a 24 hour period saying you have a message from......"  The Good news? He called collect to say he won the lottery $20,000! Cheers!

i was called "collect" and they gave my name as the person calling.
i asked operator to comfirm the person calling and she did...
i didnt accept

This number called me three times this afternoon, I didn't answer. Wish I knew where  this call was coming from.Whose area code is that?

It's a SCAM!!!!!!!    B E W A R E ! ! ! ! !  Had this # intermingled w/a series of calls from another #, "ARAMJ CORP" (484-363-2034), whereby this # was labeled 800COLLECT!  Luckily, I've let my voicemailbox fill to capacity w/out erasing said "fillers" so I suspect these skanky scammers will give up w/in a week, give or take!  I just hope they get BUSTED be4 taking advantage of some poor, trusting, soul who's probably old & living off the minimal income our lovely gov't has provided them with.  Probably is our gov't making such skanky calls!   LOLOLOLOLOL!

I received a call today, asking if I would accept a Collect Call . After I accepted call, the call was ended. Qwest Representative said it was a SCAM!

ITS A COLLECT CALL FROM A JAIL NUMBER THAT IS REDIRECTED THRU MCI SYSTEM.  IT COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE US.  HOPE THIS HELPS

this call shows up on my caller ID like 7 times right n a row.It's so annoying! But doesnt leave a msg.

Received a collect call from 916-384-9777.  Operator said it was from Erica.  I don't know anyone by that name.  Did not accept call.

Received collect call from this number, press l press 2 then the operater  said the party had hung up and I would not be charged for the call??????  Let's hope not.  Did not hear who the call was from.

Got two calls last night from that number.  Caller said he was "Matt".  Really???  My son, "Matt" was sitting in my living room.  When I told the operator that it wasn't "Matt"- the caller hung up.  I think it's crazy relatives looking for a hand out, or maybe they are in jail AGAIN. If so, they wasted thier call.

I just received a call from this same number and the operator said you have a collect call from Cynthia Harris. I told him I don't know a Cynthia Harris.

This person is located in Cali. This person is a 1-800 number. It is also a collect call company like 1-800-COLLECT. This company is 1-800-CALL-4-LESS. How do I know, I've used it.

collect from Healthsouth facility in Henderson, Nevada, on sat. eve July 18th.

same thing happened 4 times on Mon. afternoon and evening from same location presumably, from  a different no. om my answering machine CID:

MYSTERY SOLVED EVERYONE!  It is MCI's "generic" phone number is the Sacramento-surrounding area.  When someone uses the 1-800-collect service, even from a land line, the caller id comes up with MCI's number, not the landline or payphone number (we all normally have cell's now).  If you do not pick up the call, The caller has the option to leave a message and MCI will auto-dail you back 6-8 times in a 24 hour period, saying you have a message from...."  The good news? IT was the ex.. calling from his Mom's land line in Cali saying he won the lottery $20,000!.. come on home honey!

Got the fist Collect call at 10:30 pm.. If you don't pick up  the person can leave a message... it will auto-dial you back with the message for up to 6 times in a 24 hr period.    I had my  answer machine off, so I have no idea who it was... well maybe.. a poor, poor ex-boyfriend.  You annot call the number back, leaves me to believe it was a payphone call.

Its a MCI owned Payphone at the (the Way Station)  public transit station of Sacto, Cali....    I think it was my ex calling (of course collect) for more bus fair money to god knows where..

Call went ti the machine. Some collect call through MCI from Sacramento CA. Immediately followed by another from 440-457-9799 from North Royalton OH. Don't know anyone either place. Gotta be a scam.
