I called the number and spoke with a actual person.  I told her to remove my number and that I had gotten a call 2 times a week for over a month.  She tried telling me that I needed to talk with her for 7 minutes to update her system about my student loans that I have in a different state.  I told her I was not going to give her any personal information and that I wanted my number removed.  She said Okay and removed my number no hastle.  The whole call took less that 3 minutes.

They will not go away.  Answer the phone and ask them to remove you from the calling list.  I get calls from them every 6 months to change my forebearance on my student loan.  They are very nice and will take your number out of the system.  Don't give your social just your phone number. I hope this helps.

I do not have student loans (all of my tuition was paid for out of pocket) but constantly receive calls from EdFund. Does anyone know how to get off their calling list?

I'm getting repeated phone calls from this phone number, claiming to be EdFund. I really thought I was in some trouble, because I do have students loans, but I wasn't convinced. I googled the number, and I got this website.

It's always a machine, and she leaves a phone number to call back. I'm obviously not going to.

Got more calls from 916-526-8055.  Curiosity got me this time, so this time I answered my cell phone just to see if there was a real body connected to the other end.  NOPE - only a computer voice telling me I had an urgent message from some place called Edfund about my student loan.  I've never had a student loan so it must be telemarketing schemers.  Now curiosity won't get me to answer the phone anymore, so whoever this Edfund person or company is, they can just waste their money on unanswered calls (they'll still have to pay since my voicemail will pick up).  Eventually they may go away, and that will be a good thing!!!

I didn't recognize the phone number, so I didn't answer my cell phone.  The caller left a voicemail message, but "she" didn't say what the company name was, but stated it was something about student loans.  I don't have any student loans, nor did I request any info from anyone.  I looked up where the aread code 916 is -- it's in California so it's probably a telemarketer.

I've gotten a few calls from this number, they say they are Edfund and something about student loans and whatnot. I never answer, but they always leave a recorded message with a toll free number to call.

Debt Collector
if this is a debt collector, they will not leave a voicemail message, however, they will call my cell phone every day and often twice a day.
