It's only a scam because they are hoping someone who owes boatloads of money will jump at the approved for a loan game. They get your ID and then hit you with a past debt due line.  I know because I owe boatloads and have been dealing with these people for some time.

SCAMMER - Trying to scare you into thinking you owe money

Not a telemarketer at all but a bill collector trying to use the approved for a loan scam thinking someone will answer.

they keep calling about being approved for a check loan .
