Received the call then called the # they texted me from a land line. They asked for my name and if I was calling from a certain #(the land line) when i responded "no" i was hung up on. The # the initial call came from was out of New York city from omnipoint provider.I will now call them and begin returning the favor. could barely understand the person who answered

Received txt msg from this number that read:

I called the 877 # when I got the same text as below... I called 4 times and each time when I asked how they got my # they hung up on me... Finally a woman said Shoppers Advantage... SCAM SCAM SCAM

I got a text from 917-214-0733 about an hour ago.  I called their 877-704-6317 and the person answering barely spoke english and answered with Hello.  Definitely not a legit company.  I gave them no information.  He claimed they are Everyday Privileges Gold which is a company which is constantly sued.  I don't think it is the company, but someone impersonating the company to steal your information.  Either way stay away.

Me to. I called several times and the third time I asked what the business was. He said american auto brokers in pheonix az. I looked that up.. not real. He said he was going to charge my phone 50.00 for calling. Said his name was John Fernandez... with a thick indian accent... are there fernandezes in India?

Constantly getting text messages offering gift cards! this is a scam!

repeated calls.....so I called the 877-654-3468 and had someone hung up on me twice when I asked to be removed from the call list

I received a text message from 917-214-0733

I got a text from 917-214-0733. Saying "Thx for visiting our site". Call 1 877-704-6317 and to claim my $20 Wal-mart card and $50 gas card as a thank you for visiting their site. it says to end reply stop

I went on the FCC web site and filed a complaint.

They said I had a $20 Wal Mart card and a $20 gas card and wanted $1 shipping for each. I declined to provide my credit card number, especially as the first words out of the mouth were "We're not signing you up for anything, there is no membership, and the money won't come out of your account for 5 days so you can monitor your bank account."  I didn't visit any site and this call seemed like it was from an off-shore call center.

got a text from this # SPAM telling me to respond to call 18777046317 to claim something.

Got a message from this number too.  How do we prevent this?

I got one, said "Secret Shoppers needed", same other stuff.

I got the same two text messages today. I replied STOP before i read this thread. Have not checked my bill yet but what do i need to do now is the question.

I didn't visit any site. Does anyone know how to block these type of text messages?

I did give my number away to moving companies for internet quotes in the last couple of days.

I filed my cell number on the do not call list so why is this happening??

Just sent stop by text and have already been charged $9.99 on my phone bill. So let's hope it ends. I will keep you posted.

This is the second spam phone call today. Only three people know our nymber and they are immediate family.
