A lady in African American accent asked for me and then she passed on to a guy with Pakistani accent. The guy claimed he is from Computer Technical Department and said that my computer was sending out warning and error messages. When I challenged him he hung up. Beware of these guys.

Do not talk to these people. They said something was wrong with my computer and they were calling from Microsoft to correct it. They wanted $99 to fix it. When I told them I didn't have the money they told me they would shut my computer down so I could never use it again. BEWARE OF THESE RUDE NASTY PEOPLE!!! They start out nice and sweet and turn into nasty nasty people. Do yourself a favor and hang up!!!

Call from this number to me in Canada on May 5, 2013. Same as other posts claiming I my computer is at risk and sending error reports... hard to understand... and very pushy. I think he referenced Microsoft and some other company. The funniest part was when I asked him if he understood just how weird it is to get a random phone call from a company I don't recognize about problems with my computer when I'm not having any... he just said "no, I don't understand". Eventually I had to hang up on him.

They sucked us in for over 300$ said this protection was the best and they worked for Microsoft. Ya bought it then another phone call can a few months later. They said someone hacked our IP address and were in our computer. We should log back on and allow them to fix problem. Once bitten twice shy!!! Didn't log back in. Funny still getting phone calls from them.

calls three to four times a day. The funny thing is I just got this computer and was completely built with all software and antivirus. The only thing I do is school work on it, and look up numbers.

Complete scam. Thick accent, hard to understand. Said he was calling from Microsoft Windows to troubleshoot my computer. Starts giving instructions on what windows to open and what numbers to punch in. Don't do it. Trying to gain remote access to your PC.

When someone from this number calls & says in broken English "we are aware there are problems with your com-pew-tore," I just say, "sorry, I don't have any computers." That throws 'em for a loop and before they can come up with an answer I hang up.

Got woken up by a call from this number this morning. They said they have been receiving some bad messages from my computer. He said he was calling from some IS company. I asked how did you get my number, he said something about some database where they collect information off my computer. I asked do you know my name he said yes, it's Mrs. Xyz. I said I was sleeping and was about to hang up when he tried asking me about calling back. I just hung up.

Received a call from George from Top Google Pages. He said that he was calling about a problem with my computer. I knew enough to hang up, but Google should really look into this so that unsuspecting people don't get scammed.

I also got a call from these folks and they claim there are problems with my computer. If you did not understand anything about computers you would fall for this. Ask what it is going to cost and if there is a cost they are not working for Microsoft or any other company as they claim. When pressed they will admit they are a private company. Phone numbers they used on me are 917-217-9514 and 206-397-1127. Company is My Instant Support.

Caller ID says Google. Asked for me by name. Said he represented Windows XP, & etc. Said he had our name and phone # and Computer ID # Sounds like a Fishing Scam. Google and Microsoft should look into these people using their name or product name.

I received an unsolicited phone call from this number this morning. The caller "Ron" told me he was calling in regard to an error report received from our computer in relation to our internet service. I told him that our internet was fine, there were no error reports and asked why our internet provider "Telus" was not calling us. He kept insisting that Telus was only the internet provider and that he was a service provider. He kept insisting that I go down to my computer to check for the error report. I refused and told him that if I had any service issues/needs that I would call him. I then hung up on him. Ron had a strong accent "Indian" and I was unable to identify the company he claimed to be calling for.

I got this call today, but it did not come from NY, but Oregon. Really 3 PC's with virus protection, try again with someone who is dumb enough to fall for it.

Guy insisted he was from Microsoft and that my computer was sending error messages. He wanted me to "get in front" of my computer. Told him I couldn't do that right now. "Do you have a number where I can call you back?" "Yes" and he hung up.

Guy with horrible English starts spouting off spiel about dns error on my computer, told him I had no access to my computer at present moment, asked for his name n number to call him back when I did and he hung up on me. Nothing says scam like a hangup when a simple question is asked, dumb@$$...

I have received numerous calls from 917-217-9514....(or 917-217-9508 or 917-217-9518). Usually, I say "hello"
about 3 times over a period of 10 seconds, after which a female voice says "goodbye". But this morning it was
different...a woman with a Chinese accent came on the phone and told me that she was calling from Microsoft in London, England and that there was something wrong with my computer which I had to check out. I played
dumb and had "so much difficulty understanding her" that she eventually hung up. I have since listed all these
phone numbers on Primus' telemarketing guard call block list.

Wow, these folks are TRULY the epitome of STUPID! Get the call once in a blue moon; this time *69 identified them just for giggles. So, called the number and it rang; got an atomated aswer asking to press one to have them stop calling.
Lets see if this works. LOL
Told the moron who called me that I too am a Tech, and now I got his IP tagged through my system, (Gotta love it when they belive such blatant lies though); and I am forwarding it to ALL net providers in my country.
:) :P

Another call about my computer having trouble. Had trouble understanding the guy's English most of the time. Very pushy insisted my computer had a problem even though I told him I had anti virus and fire walls on the computer and that I build computers. Caller ID said Google Pages; yea right.
Had a call day before from 206-397-1127 same thing except it was a woman and Cid only gave the tel number instead of a name. The woman asked me if I spoke English after i said I could not understand her. She didn't get the hint kept telling me I had a computer problem. Disgusting.
