I responded to an ad on KIJIJI for an Office Assistant position and here was the email I was sent back.

Very lengthy and detailed but I have done some research and found someone who had a scam with the same name Daniel Wells from the phone number 917 285 9182 about becoming a mystery shopper! I have not recieved a phone call as I did not leave my phone number

i recieved an email for mystery shoppers inc under the name Daniel Wells and I was very suppicious so asked a couple of questions 1. was this a scam? and 2 what does a mystery shooper do? I have not any return reply since.

This guy is back to using the name Dan Reed and is asking for Mystery Shoppers and claims to be associated with ShopFast Inc.  I replied to the mystery shopping thing, (a friend of mine has done this and her assignments are actually the real deal; she has received real paperwork from a real company and small checks for her work from a real company.). A cheesy email with one of those "put your personal information below" kind of messages placed within the email was the response.  I googled Shop Fast Inc and got 196,000 hits.  I googled Dan Reed and Shop Fast and landed here.  the phone number is the same but the email is blumail; his return email is identified in the bottom of the post; blumail is more of a drop box, and his actual email is a hotmail address.  

Needless to say he did not get my vote and information about this man will be posted in various public forums, as well as reported to the local and federal authorities....

If there was a warrant for your arrest, they wouldn't call your work.  If it is for a payday loan, you can't be arrested, but you can be sued.  If a process server calls your work, you are probably about to be served then be sued.  Link the pieces to the puzzle especially if its from a law firm like was stated on another comment. ...

COMMON SENSE!

Mike Davies emails me , demands I get the assignment done, but at the bottom of letter its signed Michael Jones, he told me to fill out M/O my name , but sender was the name of Kevin Skinner from Florida. Go to walmart spend 50 keep 200, then wire the rest to the next mystery shopper in London.. and the name on the UPS envelope is Jacob Davidson from huston,TX  I have tried calling the # but I never get whom I am speaking with, they say thank you for calling I will get the message to Mike and have him contact you. My concern is the bank going to come after me for fraud? If they do, I have learned my lesson, but I will do all I have to do until this guy or guys are caught and placed behind bars

have they called you back? do u have extra info about this company? they called my house yesterday evening with the same threats. I told them that was illegal and I needed to be provided with a verification letter which notifies me of the debt and it has to give me 30 days to dispute. I also told them about my attorney. I've been trying to call them back but only the answering machine I get every time I call.

A Mike Davies with Process Services Department called my work of employment which is illegal in Texas an asked my HR personnel department to contact me regarding a warrant for my arrest.  This is a SCAMMING PAYDAY LOAN company that is trying to get money from people that do not owe them money. DO NOT call them back and if they contact your employer tell them not to give out any information. The number he's leaving to call back is 800-385-6498.

YESUI GOT MINE TODAY AND THEY GOT ME. THEY SEEM TO BE A LITLE FISHY TO ME. WEN I CALLED TO C IF IT WAS REAL I GOT SENT STRAIGHT TO A VOICEMAIL. SOMEONE CALLED ME BACK FROM A INKNOWN NUMBER AND I BELIEVE I HEARD A TV IN THE BACK GROUND. PEOPLE PKEASE BE AWARE OF THESE PEOPLE COMMITING THESE CRIMES. ITS SAD AND RIDICULOUS BUT THIS IS JUST HOW IT IS.

I responded to the mystery shoppers email and filled all the info they requested and yes they did sent me a check in the mail by ups like they said. I did what the assignment requested in which i went to my bank to try and cash the check the bank stated that i had to deposite  the check and if it cleared then i could withdraw the funds 2-3 days later thay then at this time gave me a printout stating the reason for the hold on the check.  within a day i recieved a call from my bank stating that the check was drawn from a closed account and i have to pay a 10 dollar return fee for the check to be returned so i payed for the ups fee out of the 10 dollars return fee which means they are a scammmmmmm!

The Pond Scum has surfaced once again!  I've been contacted by this same person only going by the name of James Johnson this time.  His business name is now Heritage Concepts or Heritage Service Concepts, he used both.  He sent me a check for $1,920.00 which I found out was stolen and the account had been closed out so the check was not good.  So if I had cashed it instead of checking it out first, I would have been out over $2,000.00 after all the charges.  At first he said I was supposed to keep 10%, then it was 15%, so I knew something funny was going on.  He kept sending me emails, and called within 20 minutes of delivery of the check which was weird.  So this guy has numerous identities and email addresses and he keeps doing the same thing.  Isn't there anyway to stop this crook?  I saw on a website called Fraud Watchers where a VINCENT PRIZE prize001@sify.com did the same mystery shopper thing, could this also be the same person?  Why can't something be done???  I have two more email addresses for this loser - mrjamesjohnson12@live.com and mrjamesjohnson@yahoo.com.  When I told 'Mr. Johnson' I knew his check was no good he wanted to know the name of my bank.  I politely told him that was none of his concern.

Stacy Lemelle told me these were non refundable and I needed to get this done. I googled the names and there are none anywhere. What a joke glad I never recieved them in the first place.

My husband received this same email. He gave his information. We received a package via UPS. Inside were two checks each for $966.18. There were numerous inconsistencies! Needless to say the moneygram money orders had already been cashed in November 09; it?s the Beginning of January right now. How many other times have they tried to pass these same money orders off to others since November? Please check up on if the money orders were already cashed and look for any inconsistencies before cashing. And please do not deposit a check or money order into your bank account; you will literally be paying for your mistake, big time. They came from Dan Reed Parker. The money orders were purchased on 11/03/09. The money order numbers are: 68563775921 and 68563775911. Anyone can call 1800moneygram and check the status. One was cashed on 11/18/09 and the other 11/20/09. On the money order Dan's address is 1832 67th Brooklyn, NY. and on the UPS package it is 7220 s. Perry Chicago, IL. Take the checks/money orders and copies of all e-mails to your local post office(if postal money orders) or FBI if checks. This company is a fraud and they should be arrested. Unfortunately our government tends to drag their a** but these are terrorist acts and should be handled with extreme measures!

Good morning!  I received this posting via Career Builders and responded to the "Mystery Shopper Scam".  I did received their Fed Ex along with the two money orders.  I then went on Better Business Bureau which confirmed that this company does not EXSIST!!!!  Thank God I went with my instincts and followed up in investigating this company prior to becoming one of their VICTIMS!!!!

FYI:  another.... DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR EMAILS OR CONVERSATIONS, AS THEY ARE A FRAUD!!!!
