Got a call saying I was in big trouble and that he wanted to talk to me about my tax problem.  He said he was at the Brooklyn office and had a strong accent.  Obvious scam.

I also got a threatening call from these people claiming that they are tax crime division. They threaten to put us in jail claiming we owe IRS tax, which was intentionally not paid. Complete scam.

Complete scam.  Block the number.  If you had a court case against you, you'd have received a court summons via process server. You wouldn't get a vague, threatening phone call.

Claimed to be from Tax Crimes Division and said there was a court case against me. Had my name and address but wouldn't give me the case ID.
