Unwanted text msg.

STOP THE CALLS NOW

Spam/Scam. Received a text message from this number and 646-309-8526 regarding a "shipping address for $200 Wal-mart Vouchers". Both text messages told me to call 800-959-0930, and offered me the opportunity to stop receiving these messages by replying STOP.

I replied STOP and have not received any more messages from them.

Oddly, I began receiving these unsolicited text messages shortly after providing my phone number to a worker renting kayaks at Ft. De Soto Park in Pinellas County, Florida. I'm not saying that he sold my number, but coincidence...?

Unwanted text calling me the made up name Jasmine asking to go to 555cash.com for my $500 free loan or something like that (Ideleted it immediately) The number traces to New York city. This must be  a successful SCAM considering how persistant they are.

I called the number back.   Yes, they said my name was Edna, and it is not.  Well, they wanted my First Name, Last Name, and my Phone Number to confirm I am who I am.  In order to receive the FREE gift card, I had to pay the shipping of like $2.95.  Now, they wanted my credit card number.  Oh, no.  I do here other people talking on the phone in the background and it sounds legit, but what proof do I really have?  She kept on telling me the same thing over and over.  I told her there is no proof of who you say you are.  Some company I never heard of and licensed?  Well, I told her I am blue, have three arms and two heads.  I do, I really do.  She then was saying it is part of a stimulus package to help the economy.  OK, WELL IF IT IS FREE..... THEN SEND IT TO ME.  YOU DON'T NEED MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER.  She seemed kinda pushy as well.  Kept on trying to convince me that she is legit.  I kept on telling her to prove it to me.  "Well, that is why the phone call is being recorded. We can get in a lot of trouble if we are not who we say we are."  She said that about 5 times...   Whatever.  I did not give them my credit card number.  It is not worth the huge risk of a stolen identity.

I just received this unwanted text stating thanks 4 visiting our site: call 1-877-448-7014 to claim your $200 Wal-Mart (or other participating store) gift card. Reply STOP to DNC. This really sucks. I have to pay for these incoming. Especially when I did not go to these sites.

Got a text from it too... saying to claim $200 target gift call some 866 number.

I received an unwarranted text from this number
