Someone claiming to be from Dept of Justice called me at 865-277-1385 on 6-5-13 and left me a voicemail to call this number.  I didn't return the call today knowing it was fraudulent that I owed them money involving a payday loan that I didn't receive according to their first call about a month ago.

So these  are the same people who called me  but they used the San Jose police department and claimed to be an Captain John Harris from the D.O.J  and his badge number was 42  and he also gave me a claim number
and said that i had to call this number and if i didn't they would issue a warrent for my arrest which was a joke.
its funny because i called the San Jose police department and they told me that were getting a lot of calls about this people and their scams.

I recevied a voicemail from the Texas State Police working with the DOJ (as they said) Department of Justice on a matter that required my immediate attention.  They left a 917 number to call them back.  Now let me figure this out.  I'm in such trouble that the TSP and DOJ are involved and they are calling me from New York, and Staten Island at that.  For real.  I called back and as stated above they said, "hello".  Really official, lmbo.  I ask them what business did they have calling the number?  They asked for my name.  Low and behold I had to reveal I was with the FAA-DOT Investigative Unit and I asked him to hold the line for 10 seconds, he said, "oh *$%* (explicit) and hung up.  They accidently called the wrong number, lmbo.  Anyway if they call you just report them to your local law enforcement agency if you care otherwise close your eyes in peace.  They are trying to extort money from you.  You could also tell them to send you the amount they are asking for and you'll send it back with interest in about a year.

Yes. I just received a call too. Exactly as described. Would not explain themselves or what they do. I would not give them my "case file number". What a joke.

They called me too saying that they were they department of Justice...although they had very thick middle eastern accents, yet had names like "Captain John Harris"   I laughed the entire time and asked to speak to his supervisor, I then asked him what rank his supervisor was...he only knew two ranks(captain and lieutenant).  He spewed some garbage about being in big trouble.  These people are related to these quick cash loan companies that sell your information.  If you were financially desperate at a time in your life, as I was, and even initiated a loan (i didn't even take a loan out, I just gave them my info and then declined the loan) they will call you and hound you from time to time.  DO NOT WORRY!!! They cannot do anything with your info and they are just atttempting to scam money from you.  Do Not Let Them Fool You!!!!!

I recieved a phone call from this same number but at my job! Saying the same thing that i had three judgements on a $400.00 loan that i had taken out 3-4 years ago. When i mentioned i was gonna call an attorney the caller asked what type of an attorney and said "be safe" and hung up on me. Mind you when i called they never put me on hold they had given the phone to several different people until i spoke with Sheriff WALKER! It seems like a SCAM! They wanted me to call back within 1/2 hour to figure out how i will be paying this OFF!
