I cancelled my service with DirecTV on July 1st and I've been getting calls from this number several times a day.  Since they are calling my cell phone I set it up on a DO NOT ANSWER contact so the phone won't even ring now.  They ignored me for 9 months while I was waiting for my contract to expire so now I will ignore them.  This is one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with.  We bought our first receiver way back in 1995 and their service was fabulous.  It just slowly went down hill from there.  They have lied to me several times, been rude and argumentative over the phone and the guy was so surprised when I called to cancel.  He tried to give me all kinds of discounts for long time customers, but I said no thank you because no one tried to help me while my contract was in force.  These people are the worst.

I just cancelled and have received four call to come back to them! FAT F^@KING CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had their cable from 12/11 to 5/14. They are threatening me with early disconnect fees and that they will use the credit card I have on file. I have let them know that the card is no longer valid and if they do use and I get charged by my bank there will be Hell to pay.

I remember when cable used to cost between $10.00 and $25.00 and extra programs could add another $10.00 to $25.00 to the bill. Today, a vey good friend (also the biggest nut case to walk in shoe leather) was paying over $300.00 just so he wouldn't miss any movies. It took 6 months for me to get him to cut his cable bill down to about $125.00. Not only was he still able to see anything he wanted, he also discovered he didn't have enough time to watch everything he wanted to see.

Was getting on average 3 calls a day from this number, I finally answered today on the third call this morning.  They called me once at 9:04 AM, it rang 2 times then they hung up without leaving a message.  Once at 9:55 AM it rang 3 times did not leave a message.  Then the call I picked up they called at 10:58 AM and I answered that one.  It was a woman calling from Direct TV, I demanded to know what the call was in regards to and why they've been calling me 3 times a day on average, she apologized for the calls saying she was trying to get in touch to me in regards to why I canceled my service.  I told her that I gave my reasons for canceling to the woman that I spoke to on the phone when I canceled.  She said that she understood that and apologized again but she wanted to know as well to make sure they were doing everything in their power to retain me as a customer.  I told her you were doing everything in your power but then you started calling me multiple times a day without leaving a message and I don't answer calls from unknown numbers the only reason I answered today was because its really become very irritating and because of that I will never return to your service have a good day and hung up.  They called back 10 seconds later I didn't answer and they did not leave a message.

Sorry buddy, but your wrong. My contract with them is up on 8-26 this year, etf is 20.00 a month. I cancelled them this last Monday and they are charging me 30.00 dollars and change for the remaining 2 months less what I have for this month.

There are so many other choices out there that are much cheaper, they can kiss my *ss.

We cancelled our DTV service this month after a two year agreement because the rate is now 140/mo.  No thank you.  Since cancelling, I've been getting these calls a few times a day.  If they want people back, this is the wrong strategy to employ.

I've been getting calls non-stop from this number (DirecTV) for a week now after I cancelled my contract.  When I cancelled, I told the rep that I'd had it with the spotty service.  I live in Florida and thunderstorms are a daily occurrence.  If I had a storm that was within 15 miles of my house, I could guarantee that the "satellite connection" would be lost.  To top it off, if there was even a momentary power drop, the frickin' cable box would take 20 minutes to reset!  When I missed the last 15 laps of the Indianapolis 500 because of this, that was the last straw.  I'm now getting my TV, internet and home phone bundled through BrightHouse and saving $100 a month.

I'm getting these calls too. When I pick up and say hello it immediately hangs up. I did cancel a few days ago so If it is Directv why does it hang up? Ugh annoying. Getting called about hour!

Same here, cancelled yesterday, started getting calls today. I am not coming back! I can save over $400 by switching, and that's a hell of alot more than their rep offered. Was told they have the best loyalty program around and offered me $20 off my bill to stay, if I had more years in I could have saved up to $40 off my bill so I told my coworker to call them and she did, 17 years with them, they offered her $10 off for 6mo and she'd have to sign a 1 year agreement...some loyalty program! See ya Direct TV!

Cancelled Direct TV yesterday and have gotten two calls from them this morning so far. Will be worth paying the disconnect charge to be rid of them and the lousy satellite internet in the bundle. Was inundated with sales/upgrade calls when I signed on and had to tell them several times to stop bothering me. Now I'm inundated with calls because I cancelled.

Got the dtv call.  I canceled them after our 2 year contract was up and they said we extended our contract for another year!  We could not wait for for our 2 year contract to end. So why would we extend it.  Now they want to stick us with a 100.00 fee for canceling.  The were very rude and ruined our day to say the least.  We got antenna because were sick of the rich trying to get filthy rich.  Im not playing their games anymore.  The antenna seems to have a better picture anyways. Netflix is next on the list. I love this websight!!!!!

Same here. Cancelled Directv last week and already 4 calls. Their programming was going downhill and seemed to drop channels that I watched most often. We got internet and cable for what we were paying Direct. Good riddance to the money hungry service lacking company!!

I just switched to dish and their theary to have low rates is to switch back and forth with dtv and dish..the new customer always gets the lower rates..switch every 2 years and see what you get...also direct tv is sending me a check for what they owe me..

I'm glad I now know who called twice yesterday.  I cancelled my DTV service yesterday because we are moving and yes I could have kept them, but I did not because I cannot see paying almost $200 a month for service (only tv) when I was told it would be under $100 for 2 years.  Not to mention it is constantly going out or erasing my shows that have been recorded.  I will now be paying that $200 for tv, phone and internet with ATT, saving over $100 a month.

Cancelled my direct tv service yesterday. My apartment complex was with Direct through a 3rd party provider for the last two years. They cancelled the contract and went with Comcast. Tried calling Direct to have a dish put on my balcony. But, after 36 minutes of hold time and being transferred to 3 different people. And the 3rd person telling me the 3rd party provider had a hold on my account and they could not send a tech out I cancelled. Forced to go to Comcast. They did however call and credit my account for my payment. But, it would have taken too long to resolve the issue. It could have been resolved in the phone call to them. If the reps answering the phone knew what the h*ll they were doing. Bye..Bye Direct!

Add the number and any others to a special contact called "ignore" and set the ringer to "none". The phone will not vibe or ring when you get these calls. Works for me since asking them not to phone me didn't work. Definitely is DirecTV, I canceled with them 24 hours ago.

I have also cancelled Direct TV and started getting these calls right away.  What is strange is that there is never anyone on the other end.  I say Hello several times and get nothing.  Kind of creepy.
