I'm also 732 area.  The thing that P.O.'s me off is that this is a new cell...so how on earth did they get my number?  I've gotten scam texts and calls that I have to pay for...this is just outrageous...this should be against the law.

I received a call today stating that I had received a loan from an online company CashAdvanceUSA in December of 2011 for the amount of $300.00 which I never paid back (I never received this loan nor did I request it.)  The first man that I spoke with was (I assume) Indian and I couldn?t understand him, I got (what I think) his name was Alan Stewart. I was asking a lot of questions and it was loud in the background the man Alan got frustrated and handed the phone to another man. The man said he was Alan?s supervisor and I asked his name, he said David Zyaes.  He went on to tell me his company DSS which is not a recovery service is going to charge me with 3 federal check and fraud charges if I don't pay restitution in the amount of $525.00 for a loan of $300.00.  I told him that I did not received a loan from his company and that I needed to look at my bank account statements to see what he was talking about.  I went into my bank account and looked at all my bank statements dating back to November 2011 for a deposit and I did not EVER have anything deposited to my account.  The man said that I have a choice that I can pay him $525 in restitution and not be charged or I can go to court.  I said that I was not going to get charged with something that I didn?t do and that this is blackmail.  He said that he doesn?t like to use that word, its restitution.  I asked for his company information told him that I would pay the $525 and them sue his company for the money because I don?t owe them money. He yelled at me telling me that I am on a federally recorded line and if I am going to threaten to sue him he doesn?t want my money they will take me to court. I said when do I pay and he said I can pay on the 22nd of February in the amount of $157.50, again on 7th of March in the amount of $183.50, on the 7th of April in the amount of $183.50.  He said that he needed my debit card number.  I said no I?m not going to give you that and if he had my account number why didn?t he just debit it and he said no he needed my debit card number.  Again I said no, and he said that I could go to Walmart and get a prepaid card and go he will call me back and get the account number.  He also said that  I will need to get have a fax that I can fax information to and complete a global funds form.  I asked again for his company info that he wouldn?t provide me but he gave me a phone # number of 804-318-5473 X6363 case file number G250124929.  He told me that he was located in VA in the first part of the conversation but he later said West VA and then I asked again and he said VA and was clearly frustrated yelling ? I said VA? and quickly changed the subject. He said that he would call me on the 21st of February to remind me and the 22nd to get the prepaid card number.   When the call came into my phone it showed up as a 804 number but when I looked at my call log it said UNKNOWN.  We were disconnected 2 times during our conversation and David immediately called me back.  I later called the number he provided me and it was a voice mail to a random person not David and not his company.  I left a message for David to return my call.
In addition, to contacting the Special Actions Team,  followed up this attempt by going online to CashAdvanceUSA who had the following disclaimer on their site:

I received a call from this number just now. I hit the speaker phone button twice which will hang up on the number calling. I  have no intention of calling that number or any other number that I do not reccognize  In todays world of scams by the numbers, I refuse to take a chance on answering and after the call wish I had never picked up the receiver.  It's a horrible shame that some people are to  evil and lazy to get a real job.  That would rather make a dishonest living as their prefference.  May God have mercy on their evil souls.

Folks, this is a scam company.  I work for a consumer protection agency and was recently told to go to a home show in Providence Rhode Island and fill out a lead for a contest run by an individual named Mike Lillibridge and his gay/life partner.  I was directed to go to the show by my agency because it is suspected that Mr Lillibridge and his company MMJ promotions of Fryeburg Maine sells contest entry slips multiple times over.  We had received multiple complaints from consumers who had filled out contest entry blanks at shows/events and checked out about a dozen or so lead generation companies in New England.  MMJ is the one that received the most complaints about it, so we decided to focus on them.  Sure enough the only lead we filled out at the Rhode Island home show was the MMJ booth(we had a floorplan etc... so we knew where the booth was) and we have received about three or four calls from companies this individual evidently resold my name too.

Recorded voice on my cell saying it was WCA and asking if I was in an accident and wanted personal injury assistance.  Instead of pressing 1 to be connected to a rep, I pressed 3 to opt-out.
