No message

This # showed up on my cell phone caller id, I tried calling back & just kept getting a busy signal.

I just got a call from this number.  There was a foreign woman asking for me. I told her wrong number. She was persistent.  Asked if I lived at my address. I again said no. Asked if I knew myself as a neighbor or friend.  Tried to call number back, just busy signal.

This number called and left a message on my voicemail asking me to call back to discuss a file in their office.  I ignored the message because it sounded like a scam.  If they leave a message don't answer or return their call.

I keep getting a recorded message on my answering machine asking me to call back at 1-888-522-0380 to discuss an "important file in their office". anytime between 8AM EST and 9PM PST, oddly enough. They say they are from the DeCarr group, which I cannot find anywhere in net searches. The one time I did call up (well within those times and on the same day, BTW) they had some service taking the calls who didn't know anything about them.

This same number keeps calling my home.  It appears on the caller ID as Care Prinicpium and the contact is John Baker with a thick Indian accent.  The message he leaves is always the exact same, almost as if it is a recording.  On the messages he never says the name of the person he is trying to contact.  I was able to answer the phone once and the voice continued as if leaving a message and never aknowledged me as answering.  I do not owe any debts and this is very frustrating to me as I do not want to have my credit ruined by a scam.  Does anyone have any experience as to how long he will continue to call or how to make him stop?

Received a call on caller ID today 12/7/07 no message left from phone 917 522-0380 identified as Care Principium.  Googled and company in Pune, India so they must have a USA call center.  They are located Nyati Millinium, Viman Nager, Pune-014   91-020-6630700.
This is the second company calling that are out sourced debt collectors.  Don't listen to them.

Same crap, music but no-one comes on, getting old

My son, a minor received a call on his cell phone today asking for a friend of his.  I also received a call on our land line.  My son and I were asked for his friend's name.  I refused to answer.  I contacted the friend and then, spoke with the friend's mother.  It was an important lesson in credit issues...totally unnecessary prey on minors and parents alike.  I knew the phone number was a cell number given the 917 exchange.  DO NOT answer any questions and do not call back.  Total fraud!

Yep.  Just called my number at WORK.  I have NO debts and NO collections yet he left an "important and very urgent" message for someone else on my v.m.  Funny thing is, he had a strong Indian accent yet referred to himself as "John Baker".

Man, these folks are persistent.  I've told them before they have the WRONG person yet they keep leaving messages for her.

CARE PRINCIPIUM PVT. LTD. is listed in India as providing Private Limited Debt Collection Services and Customer Contact Services (e.g., outsourced bother and annoyance).  When a bogus debt is so old an American company won't even bother to try to collect it, there are cheap call centers half a world away to outsource to--thank God for Modern technology!!

Person with a thick Indian accent continues to call to discuss a "very important business matter".  This is a debt collector.  This is an outsourcing company located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.  From the internet, the contact information for this company is Nyati Millinium, Viman Nagar, Pune-014. Contact person is Mr. Anish Nathani.  Telephone number in India  020-26632070.  This is a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Company.  They are known as a bottom feeder, buying old debts long expired and attempting to collect them.

Several calls on my voice mail from this number.  About 15 seconds of classical music, then someone says "hello" and hangs up.

This number called my cell phone today. When I answered, there was rock music, then someone FINALLY came on and asked for a name that wasn't me, wasn't even CLOSE. I said that wasn't me. He asked if he'd called... *gave my cell phone number*.

I said yes, this is my cell phone, I just got the number recently. (I got the phone in June.)

He read off an address, was it mine? I said, "Again, no. I don't know (name). I don't know that address. This is my cell phone."

FInally, he said what I've been saying ALL along. "I think I have the wrong number."

Ummm... DUH???!?!
