This was a sneaky way for Americredit to get you to answer the phone, instead of using their 1-800 or 888 numbers that come up on caller ID.

yeah they do think they are sneaky. they called here and asked for me when it's only my husband's name on the loan. no one has the number for me but family.

It is definitely Americredit.  The last seven digits are the same as their local number here in Texas.  They think they are slick!!

It is Americredit's sneaky way to have you answer the phone. But they are doing it on Sunday also.

Reverse look up shows that the number is a cell phone number and belongs to someone in New York City.
