That is hysterical! Shawn Stifler...aka The Stiffmister is a character from the movie American Pie. He's just f****ng with you. "Neal Johnson" keeps calling my work asking for a co-worker, our HR manager, he never leaves a message.

I also got the exact same call from (205)-286-2820 stating that I owed money on a loan- that I didnt EVEN take out!! He told me I owed 9, 876.00 to DRNC law. Then stated that if I couldnt pay all of that I could begin paying 561.23 every 2 weeks! Whatever!! Also said I was going to jail for 6months and 22 days! This thick-tongued man was very rude and shouted at me throughout the whole conversation....I have contacted the FBI!!!! I would encourage everyone else to do the same!!

I received the same call from (205) 286-2820
stating that they are a law firm from ALABAMA. "DRNC" or "Alan Davis"
strong accent as if the person was from India.
We kept asking them questions and they get really irritated and hung up.
(we applied for a loan online, and since then we've been getting all kinds of phone calls)

yes the same scam call with guy with heavy accent on a loan I didnt take out!!!   they called from (303) 351 1538-  they use this number also-----concerned they know our ssn's though-scam artists can use them obviously!   anyone have any other bad news relates to ssn's after receiving calls from (in my case...) "Rick Brown" @ DNRC Law firm????

Sounds like its a scam.. i got the same exact call about some cash advance.. first off i get my checks deposited to a paycard my company provides then i withdraw money from that card to deposit it into my savings account lol so when i got that call i cussed out the guy with the heavy accent and said what info do you have under my name and ssn and he said that i needed to call his senior lawyer and i said then why the f*ck are u calling me and ur senior lawyer aint calling me, if u say u have info on my name and ssn then why cant u give me that info and he kept saying u need to call my senior lawyer and i said well if u cant give me info that u say u have then dont fu*ken call me and then he hung up and then called back and i picked up and then he hung up haha these people are stupid tryna get a quick buck instead finding a real job...

they did this to my husband a few months ago calling and harassing him at work on his cell phone and our home phone saying the exact same thing and like you he had no advances out anywhere they sound foreign very heavy accents but say some off the wall name that you know isnt true how did you get rid of them

They keep calling looking for my husband saying there is legal matters that are being pressed against his name and social security number saying to have him or his attorney contact them right away they did this once before and i thought i got rid of them.....

I got the same call with the same threats how do these fu**ers get all that information???

Tony Vegas, Neal Johnson, and Shawn Stifler have called from DRNC Lawfirm stating that there are arrest warrants for me for an unpaid debt with 2 different cash advance companies (Payday Advance and US Cash Advance) - I have loans with neither company.  I requested their mailing address and Mr. Stifler said "who are you to ask me for my address?".  I was told that they are located in New York.  I asked Mr. Stifler politely to have his employees or coworkers stop harrassing me at work and he replied that I should hire a lawyer and be in court, but would not provide a court date or any other information.

I called back again and went into a whole conversation with whoever picked up this time. (they didn't even give me a name, they just picked up and said "hello" - some law firm office, huh?) I was trying to get them to tell me what business is calling me and why and they said it was a mistake and that they would take me off their list -  I said "list? This is a law firm calling, right? The last two people I spoke with said this was a law firm." She then told me  - get this -  that this was a TELEMARKETING CALL! HA! I said that I wasn't crazy and that I redailed the SAME number and this was definitely a law firm calling before. LMAO... she said she sold satelite dishes ROFLMAO. I even went so far as to tell her that I entered the number onto the internet and found this blog mentioning the same names and numbers I was dealing with. At that point she was unresponsive just saying "no. that's not true." in a very monotone manner. I said "you do know I dont' believe anything your saying, right?" She then said "Yes. Have a good day." and hung up. What bold faced liars these people are!

OMG - The same thing happened to me today. The persons name was James, though. Same number as what you mentioned. When I called back the same person picked up the phone (he had a very destinct accent - it kind of sounded Indian) and when I asked for his name, he gave me a different one, can't remember right now. He was looking for Alexander ( I am female so I am AlexandrA) and mouthed off some social security number as being mine -  which it wasn't. The time I called back I asked what bussiness he was calling from and he just kept asking me if I was Alexander. I then asked him if he was a scam artist and he hung up LMAO! What idiots! He totally got my personal info wrong but I didn't like that he knew what business he was calling (my office) I work for my father so it kind of weirds me out that he has my father's business information and is using it in this manner. :(

HA! I just called back again and HAZEL picked up! I asked where I was calling and she said "a law firm" I pasued and slowly repeated what she told me (really like I am suppose to take that as a good answer?) then she hung up on me. WOW!

My sister is a law enforcement officer, and SHE is getting these calls at work! the number that is calling her is 508-455-4479 and someone named Hazel is threatening to have her arrested. Well when I called back they gave me no info that amounted to anything and then when I asked what state i was in and what county would be arresting me she screamed at me to SHUT UP and then Hung up.....  This is nuts!

They called me and said I owe from 798-12,000.00.  They threathened me and said the sheiff is coming to my house in the morning.

I started receiving these phone calls as well. Cannot understand what he is saying when he says the company name. The first time the man on the other end made kissing noises every time I would speak. No lie. Idiots. I finally hung up. Haven't picked up another call from that number, but did get the threatening "sherrif's gonna get ya" message. I haven't owed anyone anything in years, so I was never worried, but I was terribly annoyed. They are just going to have to call until they are blue in the face... water off a ducks back, or whatever the saying is.

i keep getting calls from these ppl, and they are saying i owen them for a pre paid loan i took out from my SS# bulshit... i did not EVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT... THEY SAY THEY ARE POLICE..

Some man last man Brown has been leaving 3-4 messg on my home number stating my ssn has been giving in his case and when I call this number there is no answer all day ...his messg is very upsetting since he states the last 4 of my ssn#  which he also states is under review for legal something

This number called and some man with a THICK accent called and made threats against me over money I do not owe I called the FBI, FTC, And the Police and they have been getting numerous calls about them, DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO

I just recieved that call and then got really mean with them and then i spent a little time blowing up their phones and laughing!!! Gotta love scammers... jk

Same thing here, 9176282494 keeps calling for my husband on MY cell phone. Department of Law Services,lol ya ok. He said his name is Officer Brown.  So sick of this, they need to get a life

My husband received numerous calls on his cell phone from this number today not giving any information about what the call was regarding.  Whenever he began to ask questions, the caller who had an accent became defensive and hung up.  The caller then called my cell phone, and left a message that he needs to call them back.  He has received this type of call before from a female stating that he owes money for a payday that he never had.  She threatened that he could be arrested for these charges which is completely false since neither one of us has any income coming in at the present time.  He got advice from my brother who is a lawyer and was told that they have no leg to stand on for anything that they are claiming.

These people keep calling me and say I will be going to jail in the next 24 hr if I do not pay a loan that I took out.  I do not have any idea of what they are talking about.  The guy have a very bad accent.  I just hung up the phone on him said he was calling from the United states attorney general office.

They call and say I will be going to jail and my credit will be ruined as well as my social security number being blocked if I dont pay them 900 dollars by today.

got a call  from this number. Some man named with a thick foreign accent said he was calling from the National Investigation Bureau and that my lawyer needs he needs my lawyers name and number. I asked why and he said because of the case that is pending against me. I asked what case he said "You havent been informed about the case?" Oh my god hold on I have to get one of our many attorneys to speak to you. Then another guy gets on the phone and said "we are recording this call and I will give you the details but I will need you to let me read off the charges and I will need you to tell me finish reading the statement before you comment" I said OK..... he went on to tell me that I requested a cash advance fro USA Fast Cash via EFT and did not pay it back. They have tried repeatly to collect the payment and it was rejected and since It was done via wire it is a federal crime and I would be contact by the sheriff's department who has a warrant for my arrest and they will be coming to my place of employment. I started to laugh and he said "excuse me miss did I say something funny?" Im glad you dont care about going to jail for years..... I said Im laughing because I have never taking a cash advance, I am not employeed and I do not have a bank account...... He then got really pissed and call me a stupid c*** bi*** f**got.... and hung up......

yes these same people keep calling me also saying that im going to jail and that i never intended on paying the money back, i blocked the number and they call me from other numbers. i went to my bank and they informed me not to worry about it that its a prank call but if they keep harassing me im going to sue they non speaking english a** for harrassing.

That's one of the best stories of scammer pwnage I've read on this site.  And it gives the students a learning experience in not getting conned!

This man with an Indian accent calling himself Phillip Davis called me at work today. I work in a high school and normally the calles don't get put through to the classroom. The man sounded very angry and was saying that I was going to be arrested. I had a class of 17 &18 year old in Economics class and put the phone on speaker. I told the man I thought he was a scam artist. He said he was passing me to the company attorney. I said great because twenty 17 and 18 year old students are listening and want to learn all about this. This seemed to make "Phillip Davis" uncomfortable saying I can't let others hear our private conversation. He then nicely said, I'll be glad to call you back later at a more convenient time." The kids all yelled, "Hi". The man was stuttering and not sure what to do. I told him to tell me what he needs to say now as I have no secrets from my students and this is a learning experience for theem. He put me on hold several minutes and then had another person talk to me saying he was an attorney and was very nice. Of course, in front of 20 witnesses. He asked me if I ever took out a loan from Cash Advance America. I told him no. I never heard of that company. His reply was, "Oh I'll be sure to take your name off our list this must be a mistake." The kids all yelled, "Bye." I hung up. I did tell the kids about scam artists who somehow get your information and try to threaten and scare you to try to get you to pay them money so you won't go to jail. No one can be put in jail for not paying a bill. That is a civil matter and not a criminal matter. Plus, written notification must be sent to the person first saying they owe a bill. When I got home the same character left me a phone message earlier than when they called me at work. Very nasty and threatening. These people are just scam artists and manipulators.
