I got the same exact message but from # 9179695471. I don't use Internet on my cell phone and I log into my account all the time from my computer and I knew that URL was a scam! Seems to be a lot of "917" # reported.... They should do a news update so the elderly don't become victims.

It is a fraudulant attempt to gain your information. Do not provide it to them. If there was something wrong with your Verizon account call Verizon directly or go directly to vzw.com do not follow any links. If for some reason you did call Verizon immediatly and have them change your password.

Received this text from an [Unverified-Sender]. I DID NOT click on the link. I went to verizonwireless.com (the legit website) where I was able to log in my account just fine, so it was obviously not locked. I changed my password anyway, and was sent a legit text from VZW free msg informing me of my password change, telling me to call customer service if I didn't request the change.
