I received a text message saying 'Congratulations! You are the Toronto winner of the day. Go to http://www.apple.com.wonacontest.com to claim your prize. You have 24 hours to claim.' I Googled the phone number first and found it belonged to someone living in Brooklyn, New York with the service provider New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC - DC, zip code 11215. When you go to the web site indicated it takes you directly to Zinga.com. I am reporting this to my service provider, their service provider and Apple. I think we all have to do this. I even replied STOP to the text message but have no indication whether it worked or not.

This number sent me a text message to my cell phone to go to a phishing site to claim the Apple prize. This is definitely a scam

I Received the same message 15 mins ago. Went to the site and its a broken link. didnt know if I should trust it. No one sends an SMS message to notify you. Smells like a scam.

apple.com.wonacontest.com..SCAM!!!! apple wouldnt use SMS to notify a winner... If you respond to this kijnd of message you seserve to get ripped off... obvious scam.

Received unwanted txt message from +1 (917) 754-0145 askng to go ( within 24 hrs) to http://www.apple.com.wonacontest.com in order to claim prize since I was selected as the winner of the day. Apple would never do this kind of thing without a well spread public campaign it's obviously a scam

they called/sms and message said I won a prize (right - I don't give my cell number to contsts) and said I had 24 hours to claim and needed to go to web site: http://www.apple.com.wonacontest.com. that originating phone number, if that is really the actual phone number from where they called, is not even in the same area code. someone doing something bad, for sure.
