I also received a text at 4:30 am...not impressed.
I pay for my phone service for me and the people I give my number to. What gives them the right to invade our already compromised privacy in this world?

It?s a scam. If you reply they will ask you for a credit card number or bank account number to pay for shipping and handling and insurance. They will spend all of the money in the account. They will never send you a gift card. If you visit the website in the message it will download spyware and viruses and heaven knows what else.
Delete the message. Do not reply to it. Do not visit the website in the message.

At 2:09pm I got this text from 1-917-756-7905, saying "Congratulations, you are todays winner in Toronto! Goto http://www.canada.coolsms.info to win your prize! I did not enter any contest to my knowledge. Who ever this is please do not send this message again. Otherwise I will send this number and message to the RCMP Fraud Department.

Considering that I have never entered anything and that this message was sent to my phone at 1:39 am I'm a little peeved. I would appreciate that this stop and you find out who and why this is an unknown caller... What are they up to? What kind of scam is this?
