These people were really offensive when I answered the phone with a simple "hello", and then they went into some severely stupid ranting mode that I had to hang up on.

The feds have exact ways of tracking phone calls that use bogus numbers...

...why aren't they actively doing their job to crush the life out of these many POS?

Our disfunctional government continues to be non-responsive...yey!!

Google "American Tradition Partnership," "Western Tradition Partnership" and "Big Sky, Big Money." That's how these sleazy right wing freaks roll, out of mailbox retail stores to cover their tracks.

I recieved a call - opens with a tape of President Obama on guns then cuts to a woman's voice saying if you stand with him, donate now and offers two options - credit card or check.  I chose check and was given the name:
FOUNDATION FOR JUSTICE FOR ALL. 700 12th Street, Washington DC 20005.
there is no website for this foundation and when I tracked the address I ran into a blank wall at the building.  Another tenant, Stovell Mkt.  had not heard of them.  Receptionist refused to give me the name of the superintendent.

Received this obviously bogus call.  They use Obama's voice as intro.  Then someone says, "President Obama is the greatest President of All Time." They ask for $250 to help stop the deaths of "sweet innocent children."  I'm an Obama fan and I'm all for strict gun control.  This call is so stupid you should have no trouble realizing it's a scam.  They expect you to contribute without ever talking to a person, and without knowing where your money is going.  The name they give, "Foundation for Justice for All," is a fake mail-drop.

The mailing address they are using is a rented mailbox from a company that apparently charges $75/month to use that downtown DC address (close to the White House) as a phony street address.

These people know who pays the bill, and could be forced to spill the beans by law enforcement. [Aiding and abetting a felony is a felony, remember.]

This is the website for this "virtual" office gang. They look mighty sleezy themselves, using an out of focus image of some parking garage to represent their premises.

DD will let the WashPo know about this. They love to kick crooked politicians in the balls. Remember Watergate, anybody?

Claims to be "Foundation for Justice for All" 700 12th St Suite 700 Washington DC 20005 NOT Sandy Hook or Obama related. Phone is re-routed from? 700 12 St, NW, Suite 700 is a "virtual office" mail drop (call did not specify what section of DC, but NW seems the default for addresses.)

Jan 17, 2013  9:03 a.m.

At the above time I received a call which was obviously a hoax.  It was a poor childish
attempt at that!   Supposedly to donate money to Obama's gun control.

The GOP are really getting desperate and frankly very frightening.

I am on the no call list and would appreciate if these whacko calls are stopped.

Thanks,
Jan Drury

I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize including this one. Glad I didn't as I wouldn't donate to them or a pro gun group as well. I served in the military for 6-years and had my fill of high performance weapons.

GOP push-poll type scam/political call.  Designed to make people angry at Obama. Not a real Democratic call, and not from Obama.

They usually do these during elections, but they're geared up against the affordable care act. Usually from GOP-hired marketing firms in Georgia, Florida, and Texas, tho this one is in NY, probably funded by the health care or insurance industry.

The idea is you make a really objectionable call, purportedly from your opponent, to tick people off. They'll also run your card if you're stupid enough to give it to them.

These idiots called my DNC listed phone number tonight. When I picked up the phone, a prerecorded message of Barack Obama was saying something (and I can guarantee you the president did NOT authorize these people to use his voice for their likely scam.)  The message then went on about passing stricter gun laws and wanted me to make a donation using their automated system and, if I did that, they would send me a "free" Sandy Hook Elementary School bracelet.  At that point, every red flag of warning was waving at me.  I tried to screw with the system to see if I could speak with someone but, no, of course not.  BUT I did stick around long enough to find out an address.  They want me to send a check to "Foundation for Justice For All", 700 Twelfth Street, Suite 700, Washington DC, 20005.  (Apparently I was supposed to be impressed by the alleged Washington DC address.)  Time to do a little investigating and see who's trying to profit off the deaths of little children.

I also got a robo call asking to press 1 to donate to the anti-gun-lobby. They used a recording of Obama making a speech about the shooting in Conn. Then came a recorded female voice directing to punch numbers 1 and 2 to donate to a movement to remove guns so that no more children can be shot. I held the call on but didn't touch any numbers. The recording repeated itself about 5 times, then said "that there seems to be difficulty with this question so we will move onto the next question" with that the phone was disconnected.

My wife and I received a call this evening ostensibly soliciting donations to help President Obama advance gun control.  The call began with a recording of President Obama's statement on the Newtown shooting and then asserted that he was one the greatest presidents in American history.  The recorded voice asked if they could count on my support, and I said yes because I wanted to learn who was soliciting me (I am a Republican, my wife is a Democrat).  Then the voice walked through various levels of support - I declined each until I agreed to give $2.  Then I was asked for my credit card number.  I didn't give it, but pressed 0 several times and finally got a person, who said she was calling on behalf of 'Save Health Care,' said the organization should have left a voice mail for me to that effect and hung up.  I googled 'Save Health Care' and couldn't find any organization by that name.  The number was 917-768-9937.  I tried to call back, but the call could not be completed.  I googled the phone number and found others have received similar solitications in the past.

I got one too. It sounded like a scam to me. The voice said something about donating to buy ads to keep John McCain and Sarah Palin from repealing the Affordable Care Act. I hung up when I was offered the opportunity to press "1" to donate.
