Keeps calling my wife and telling her that i have a legal. Matter to take care of in new york he says his name is james he needs to quit calling and i would lime to know how he even git my information he stated if i didnt pay the money owed i will have a warrant out my home town county

I JUST got off the phone with a Chris Jones guy that called from 917-775-8486 stating I owed a loan and they emailed to collect from me. That was an immediate flag for me because every debt collector I've ever dealt with always sends mail notices. Strike one. I kept asking him the same questions over and over to see if I could trip him up I finally agreed to settle and asked where I could send the money he tells me I have to call him or he'll call back on the date I schedule to make the payment because I have to do it through money gram or green dot. Needless to say I won't be sending anything. I've never heard of any company conducting business in this manner....he can kiss my a$$ for all I care.

the number listed above has been calling me 5-6 times in the last two days, always very heavily accented male(s) stating that they are from american finance, tell them i am not interested and they just keep calling back. i feel that they are scammers as if it were the real company they would take no for an answer. then looked up real company and got a fax no and phone no, no suprise they are located in delaware not new york or seattle. just after looking up the company name and info, i received a call from the following number 2064978390 from someone who identified himself as shawn peterson asking why i did not want a loan from them, he had a slight accent but was completely understandable. asked him for the co fax no he stated that they did not have a fax no, and he said that the reason for the call is that there were some person (s) that were trying to scam under the name of american finance and he would like to get their number to report them, i told them i was Not taking out a loan with them or anyone else and that it had been four years since i was trying to get a loan and was not interested. and he hung up. i called the company directly and spoke with someone who spoke english and was not foreign and gave him the numbers and names of persons that i had talked to supposedly from the company. also told them that pa law states that they can not give a pa resident a payday loan unless registered with pa banking commission and between that and the co name not appearing on the caller id and foreign accents that is the reasons that i felt that they were scam artists.

Company left message at co-worker extension, then threatened me with a subpoena and arrest warrant about payday loan I never had when I called back. Very difficult to understand  and  not knowledgeable about problem or why there had never been any other notification.

Just got a call today from these people - how do I report them to the proper authorities? I have no idea who they are, but they actually said my name - and claimed that they have my social security number. This worries me a lot.

This companykeeps calling my phone and saying I owe them money this is the second company there is also one in Mississippi that i called the police on today.

ive cursed him out twice already. he started calling my job again. he got cursed out again. now he calls my job but doesnt leave a msg. then he just called my cell phone 13 times in a row.

First, they said they were from a law firm that I confirmed had no relation.
Second, he was a county sherriff that also was unrelated.
Another law firm...  You get the point.
If you do talk to them, they are hoping that their threats will scare you into giving them bank/credit info to pay a debt for fear of collections, bad credit or jail.
After I accused him of fraud, he cursed up a storm to which I replied 'Thank you for confirming  that you are a fraud.  A real company would not be so unprofessional and disrespectful' and hung up.
On the most recent number, they went so far as to demand to talk to my supervisor at work.  When I repeatedly refused, he stated the police will be at my work to arrest me tomorrow and hung up...  I'm still here!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Everytime they call its someone with a different accent they claim to be from a Law firm in NEW YORK. They once left a message on my WORK phone saying I was going to be arrested.They even had the nerve to give me my case number and warrant number.

This guy james keeps calling me at home and now at my work I got in trouble for him calling constantly I don't know who he is. He left a message on my phone about legal action and wishing me luck. How do I get them to stop calling me at home and at work?

I have also been receiving calls demanding money from US Cash Advance legal services 917-775-5383 "James Carter" or I would be sued. This is a scam group who has purchased my personal information from someone else.Please report them to the FTC "Federal Trade Commission". I have submitted a complaint to the FTC today 4/20/13. Maybe the FTC will act fast to shut them down if they receive multiple complaints for the same scammers.

I'm sick and tired of this crap they have been calling me for 3 weeks now from different state numbers all saying the same bogus legal lawsuit against me

This guy name James Carter called my house twice asking for me and saying I owe a debt.  I told him I would report him to the FTC and the BBB and that he should be ashame of himself trying to scam innocent people.

I was called and told my Social Security number had a "Blue Mark" showing I had an unpaid payday loan and if I didn't pay it they would send marshals to my address the following morning. I told them I had no payday loan and to send me in writing any information they were claiming against me and I would look into it. At this time they would repeat their threats to send the marshals to my address the following morning, at which time I told them to send them and I will deal with them. They were foreigners by the accent and spoke poor english. But I callled a loan company I knew and they said they are scammers going around and trying to find people who would pay out of fear. I am not one of those type so I entered their number in my phone contacts as scammers and will log their calls and report them to the authorities.

Just got a call from a brian johnson with a major accent saying by 11:30 tomorrow morning I will be arrested for check fraud and several other things, he said he was from US Cash Advance he then transferred me to some idiot supervisor who i called out saying that they are a fraud and need to not contact me again.  I asked how much this was for and he said he didnt need to give me that information and be prepared to have bond money.  LOL  I called his bluff and called back the company and then he called again, I asked who the local police department was and he pretended not to hear me and then hung up.  I reported them to the federal trade commission everyone else should do the same so they stop.

This guy called my work AGAIN today.  Says if I don't pay a debt to US Cash Advance he will have me arrested.  I told him I am filing a complaint.  He said "Fine, then I will send the police to your home tomorrow to arrest you." I filed a complaint today with the FTC with the information I had.

Some man with a heavey Indean Accent who stated his last name was phillips, stated I owed a company names US cash loans money. and he was from the leagle department.  the back ground sounded like a telemarketing office with numerous people on diffrent phones.  If you question what they are saying and just do not give up your information they hang up on you.

This is a number that has a heavy accent.. they threaten.. tell you your going to be arrested.. report this to your local police station and the Attorney Generals office. It is against the law for any collection office to harass and threaten you with court or arrest ... furthermore.. any voicemails they leave with inlaws or on your phone can not contain.. furthermore a sheriff must deliver any court appointed letters for you... and you have the right for a officer to come if they do try to show up at your work or home.. they will call from all sorts of numbers and they are a scam.. be carefull with what you fill out online or your phones this is how they get your information.. In most states if you borrow from a payday loan and default they will call but in some states payday loans are unlawful and the amount borrowed does need to pay back regardless but you only have to pay back the amount borrowed.. this is where they get you when you fill out payday loan applications on line.. turn to local resources otherwise for help .... community action, state help.. know your rights and don't give any info. if you do have court papers your local sherriff or state police will deliver papers.. not a person claiming to be a official and they do not have the right to threaten against the law.. these are new tactics companies use to get info or try to get money if you do owe and they are a legit business... Oh the numbers they use are listed as in the United States but they originate over seas!!

Recived several phone calls from 917-775-5383 today indicating I owed $1300.  The caller indicates his name is Brian Johnson with US Cash Advance company.  Reported to the FTC.

These people have called me on several occasions saying his name is Kevin and that If
I do not pay them money I supposedly borrowed that they are going to have me arrested,
I do not know who these people think they are but, I am not going to let someone who is too lazy to
have a real job scam me out of my hard earned money.

Please do report him, they tend to like to call my bluff, so have been reporting them lately...

Mr. Towelhead called again, but got my voicemail... haha  He said his name was "Sylvester Ron" and that my hubby, or his attorney, had to call him ASAP about an important legal matter. I have made a report to the FBI and have saved the message, just in case... I am also not erasing the number from the caller ID... gonna get these buggers! They are scamming the wrong people, because I have and WILL continue to report them to the authorities... and eventually, they will get caught!!! So, everyone who is getting these calls, document them, and report them to your local police department, the FTC and the FBI. Don't just let these guys keep harassing you & others... if we all report them, they will be caught!

he says his name is john schneider, some criminal place and that it has to do with some check fraud and that hes going to be arrested on monday and go to jail. plus have to go to court. this is not funny. these people need to be stopped. and they also say that its under his social security card.But that is not how they answer the phone.
