Got a call at 2pm on a Monday...."CIRCUITS ARE BUSY NOW..."  when I called the number back.

called me today but i didn't answer.

keeps calling me, already twice this week

called my cell stating can lower my visa's and mc cards to 6%.  when I asked to verify company, he hung up

Got it twice First was international 11/23/09, Second was NY12/3.  first was automated or caller refused to speak; I hung up.   Second just came in.  I missed the call. Voicemail was activated, but there was no message.   Looking for the "block" function on my iPhone now.....

Oh my god, ive gotten a call from them too recently! I looked it up on this phone tracker website and it says they call from New York. Of course when i called back, the operator indicated that the line was disconnected. It kinda creeped me out

Twice this afternoon.  I didn't pick up.  They left no voicemails.  They are pathetic losers trying to prey on the weak.  Obama will get them and make them pay.

Two calls from this number came to my cell today   Twice I sent a text back asking who was calling.  Both times there was no reply.

i keep recieving this calls, 1 i dont answer numbers i dont know 2 if it's important they'll leave a voicemail. i returned the call today and that number is diconnected.

I got the same thing yesterday on my Verizon phone in NJ. Like everyone else, I tried to call back and it said the number was disconnected.

just received the same call - it's a SCAM they are calling from India. Do not answer.

Just got a call from 917-793-5638 on my new Droid telling me about my credit card payment status. Interesting in that I have no credit cards. Obvious scam. Hung up after a few seconds and googled the number which got me here. WTF?

this people call me to ask my credit nr. why the tel.comp let they do this thinks ,I call back the tel. is disc.why they are? we have to call F.B.I

I've been getting calls from 917-793-5638, everyday, multiple times a day. I finally picked up today, there was a delay then a man said that he was calling me about the job I applied for. I let him know that I didn;t apply for any job and to stop calling. He then yelled at me that he was just trying to help me. At that point I hung up.

This location is two blocks away from Rikers Island on FDR Drivein the Bronx
and its a land line. its credit card related scam.
It would be really nice if the NYPD got there a** and shut

OK, i have had the same number call me for days now and looked it up and this is where i started my search for the pricks who try and steal credit card numbers. well in my search and trying to get some Q&A solved i spoke to at&t and wrote an E-mail to the federal trade commission and hope that everyone who reads this does the same dam thing and file a complaint with the FTC. this is the only way to put gears in motion ppl. we can blog all dam day about how some jerkoff from NY tried to scam us and probably did but we have to act! or this creep will change company names,get a new phone number and start "fishing" all over again and scaming ppl once again.. so hear is a copy of my complaint that i gave to federal trade commision.Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my complaints. well for the past few days a phone number has been calling two to three times daily and never leaves a message. so i proceeded to try a reverse phone search thru google for the phone number (917 793-5638) and what i had found shocked me. the hundreds if not thousands of recent blogs and complaints "from many different states" of people who answered the phone when that same phone number called them. people from the (917) phone number have been telling people that they will be helping to pay any of their credit cards or pay debt ect. to just simply give them your credit card number and information and they will help pay for it. from what i could find in my brief search, activity  has started 11/01/2009 and is intensifying as the holidays approach. their "fishing" technique doesn't work for most, however for the individuals they do trick, its hell for them to have their identity stolen. I have spoke to my phone company "at&t" about it and they will also try to help anyway possible.

google searched phone number (917 793-5638) and came up with name of the company possible responsible for this operation its called - peerless network of new york LLC.

Unfortunately, I gave out some information because they said they were fraud alert and I had just had a legitimate fraud alert two days previously.  I do not know how they got my cell number.  Hope no one else is so stupid that they fall for this.

Well I am getting a name with the number 917-793-5638. The name is Charles Martin. Calls at least once a day, I never answer and no voice mail is ever left.

I didn't answer because I did not recognize the number, but when I called it I got a message that I would have to try later.

I have received 5 of these calls over the last month. I am only making an assumption here but they started right after I canceled a protection plan on my credit card. Could be completely unrelated but I am curious if other people have had the same thing happen?

I always answer and give them the run around. Asking where they are from etc. I even asked if they would need my credit card number, and of course the lady on the line said yes. Really? This lady expects me to just give her my credit card number over the phone? I pity people who actually fall for these scams.

Called my cell phone tonight - the sentence for this crime should be life in prison standing on their heads in horse shlt!!
