Some information requested is sensitive in nature, but is securely guarded and appropriate given the nature of the service being initiated.

Calls 3-4 times per day and leaves no message.

They probably don't say anything because at a call center they have a quota to meet.  The agents probably know you do not give a **** about them, so they take it as a paid break that rewards their quota and keeps the boss off there butts.  Try answering on the first ring and say "TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALL LIST" immediately after answering the phone.  By law, they are required to do so whether they respond to you or not.

This number called twice and no one was on the line. If they are legitimate, why do they not say something?

This number is also calling me. When they first called, they asked for someone(I remember not the name). I told them they had the wrong number. Once again, they call. I tell them again. Then, they call numerous times saying nothing. Just background noise and a strange beeping. It's extremely aggravating. I read the other complaints down at the bottom and am severely agitated that no one has gone in and fixed this yet. Hopefully someone will get down to the bottom of this.
I noticed that they said that someone(like an agent/ company representative) had come into contact with some of these people. I have not had anyone come to me. I was sitting here at my computer and my phone rang. The rest is explained above.

This appears to be a legit  company calling to do a 1 minute quality survey about their agent, who came to my door a few hours ago.

In NYC, the company is called "Direct Energy", they supply Con Ed with power, but, w/deregulation, we can now buy directly from them at a slightly reduced cost. I spent time on the phone w/them, while the rep was here, since they do the same serious confirmation that is done when you  change phone companies, so no one gets switched without permission.

I am also getting calls from this number. I did change my gas company yesterday with someone that came to my door, and the first call came after that. When calling back I also get "Welcome to Data Echange" most likely an outgoing call center. I believe the sales person did say something about someone calling to verify services.

A woman came to the door Sunday night at 6:30 pm talking about locking in a plan with txu, then 30 seconds later this guy calls to verify my information.  I didn't confirm the information, then the woman handed me a sheet with her name and number written on it(Sandra Ott, 469-955-2340), and the sheet was a Electricity Facts TXU Energy FlexProtect+.  I called TXU at 800-242-9113, and the woman who answered said this is a legitimate product, but she didn't answer my concerns as to why a TXU rep at 6:30 pm Sunday night would be coming to my door to change my electricity plan.

TXU energy came to my door offering a change in rate plans which was then varified by someone calling from this phone number. I believe it to be legitimate. When I called the number back just now it said "welcome to data exchange".

I'm getting 2 or 3 calls a day from this #.
