I get calls from them everyday several times a day...all recordered messages. They tried to put their collection account on my credit report and I fought it and denied the validity of the debt and it was removed from my report.

Like all the other a**holes who call and disturb your life, the best way to handle the calls are to pick up without saying a word, count off six seconds then hang up. These calls are generated by a computer and when the connection is made the computer seeks out the next available a**hole in line to do their pitch. Six seconds is the usual time for the computer to kick you over to the scumbag sales-creep.
Six seconds ensures they are going to pay for the call and stops them from leaving a message on your answering machine. If you do this consistantly with every call they make to you, it eventually costs them too much money trying to connect to you without the benefit of them being able to leave a message and they will give up. It may take a while but you will have the satisfaction of screwing them right back for disturbing you. This particular band of scum-sucking pigs, the NCO Group, will try to sell you a copy of your own credit report...which is complete crap, because you have the right under the law to obtain your own credit report whenever you wish at no cost to you. If they get any information from you, they turn around and sell that infomation to a host of other scum-sucking pigs whose sole purpose in life is to
rip you off. Don't give them the opportunity. Remember the six-second rule. PICK UP-SAY NOTHING-HANG UP AFTER SIX SECONDS.

Don't bother with the Government 'no-call' list to report them, it is a complete fabrication, a PAPER TIGER. Do you really think that the Federal Government goes after these clowns? There has never been a case where the Government went after, fined or even prosecuted any organization from conducting phone harrassment. Show me where...

They called today on my prepaid cell phone saying it was from a collection agency asking for Margaret Higgins.  I hung up.  In the past I got these calls also asking for Margaret Higgins and when I finally called them to say they had the wrong #  they stopped.

Don't pay these scumbags a thing.  They need a judgement againts you from the courts to officially collect and debt you may  have owed.  No judgement no collect.  That statement is from Suzy Orman.

They are bugging me also. I don't owe them any money, they are useing the address that a person lived at years before me who does not own the house anymore and has never lived with me. That is how they got my number thinking they changed theirs so they keep calling. I ignoir the calls. they use lots of numbers from other states. Do they ever get the point? I hear they buy old out of statue debt and ding your credit and sell and move to the next? they are just an old note and credt dinger. and after they sell people say they can't get it removed. this is what I have read when i was trying to find out what it was.

I delt with these dirtbags before, no they never cleared it off my record.  but even if you have it in writing they tell you it wasn't cleared or it takes 30 days then never gets done.   your best bet is to go directly to whom you owe, Also let them know you are recording them,  Much of what they pull is illegal.  They threaten all kinds of things on my kid. I recorded it Then reported them to the AG.

The Call is from NCO debt collection - Do not pay them anything - Even if you pay them - They just sell the collection to someone else and it goes on forever, they neglect to inform the credit agencies that the debt has been satisfied.  Have them certify in writting that they will clear the debt BEFORE you pay it.  Make sure the person who certifies the debt paid has the authority to do so. Get everything in writting FIRST !

this is NCO financial-a debt collection company.  get your credit report, and find out what debt they've bought.  you should then call them back with that account number listed on your credit report and try to work out payments or a buyout.
