I too got a call from these a**holes early in the mornng. I called back and left a nasty flocking message telling them how I felt about it. Also told them I would like a return call, turned them in to the BBB. Call also came from Syntel Inc. Number on caller I D was as listed 919-233-6200. I also gor a return call the following day from a female telling me the call was automated from overseas. That call came from 248-619-2800 also on coller I D as Syntel Inc. Letting you all know they will call you back if you leave them a nasty message. Message on that return call # says you have reached the office of Triad Sytel, also giving you the option to leave a message for a return call.
Hope this helps someone.
Have a good one.
Nothing worse than getting woke up from a dead sleep, pisses me off.

Syntel is a tech contractor company based in india. Most likely had the wrong phone number.

these ppl need to get a grip! Called at 4:03am, 5:33am, then again at 9:26pm. STUPID, LEAVE A VM AND I WILL DETERMINE IF I WILL CALL YOU BACK! And guess what? when I finally picked up the phone, the dude said, "hello?" then hung up!
Sue 2012-03-01 17:55:43 Unknown
They had a wrong number for a vendor... Syntel is not a marketing or phishing company.

If they are doing IT jobs - then they don't need to follow American laws ha ha ha
You can ask CEO and CTO/CIO of Nielsen Media Company - ha ha
Habu and Kalu outsourced the jobs to India and made themselves fortune - American IT managers are good on that...

I received numerous missed calls from 919-233-6200 early in the AM. Couldn't seem to call back because that number routes to Syntel and they ask for a first/last name or you can leave a voicemail.
Finally I received a missed call from this number who actually left me a voicemail to call back. (919-535-5391). I called and oddly they did not say their company name was Syntel (which shows on the voicemail), they said their company was called StateStreet.
They kept saying that they are calling due to an "unmatched trade" and they needed my name and company name, etc. I of course refused to give out any of my information, who knows what else they were going to ask for...
This company most likely did an IP scan and is autodialing your IP address and not your actual phone number. If you have a VoIP phone or an internet phone, make sure you have a dynamic IP (You can call your ISP and ask if your IP is Static or Dynamic, but chances are it's dynamic). If it's static your ISP will have to change you IP address. If you have a dynamic IP address, just unplug your modem for at least 4 minutes. Once you plug it back in, you will have a new IP address. Once you have a new IP address, this company will no longer be able to auto dial you.
Hope this helps!

Well, they maybe an outsource company.... but, as an American owned company out of Troy, MI, they need to take heed on the LAWS of calling and what hours they can... 3.22am(6.22am in NC) and the person from India could barely speak English. He was calling about money, but that was the extent of what could be understood. I did not answer it, buy who would at 3.22 am? If you read the company's website you will laugh. Supposedly, the outsource people are "highly trained and highly educated, many with MBA's."? yea, right... I doubt this guy was very well educated in India or otherwise.
If I were a company that hired this Syntel group, I'd be asking for my money back...

Just got a call from someone at this number who spoke very poor English, was obviously Indian, who said they got my cell number off a job board and that they were recruiting me for a data modeler position. I told the person I was not looking for a job and they seemed surprised and said goodbye and hung up.

it is Syntel from India. They are a Call Center/ Employee provider for the lowest bidder. They get contract here in the USA that they can't support and then hire desparite Americans to fill the contract.
Beware. they are not a good group to work for

It must be an outsource from India. Syntel, being from N.C. is not far from me in kentucky, and this number called my cell phone at 1:27 a.m. These people need to get a grip, who's gonna buy something unsolicited at 1:27 in the morning after being woken up. Number blocked.

They might have a job opening that matches with your resume on some online job board. Are you might got your phone number recently which was used earlier by a professional.

I too received the call from same no. It seems like they are looking for IT resources. I guess this should be from SYNTEL.
Yep 2010-07-23 18:42:33 Unknown
I actually used to work for Syntel as a business analyst. They treated me well. The recruiters are a little hard to understand, but they are legit.

WARNING! This number called me a 1:43AM. Obviously I did not answer it but was able to block them from calling me again.

919 is not from Tennesee. It's Raleigh NC.
Ed 2010-05-25 13:44:13 Unknown
This number calls me about twice a week. I pick up the phone and say hello, but it just hangs up.
Jack 2010-05-13 15:24:36 Unknown
They are using a robo dialer. When you pick up the phone it goes to the next rep to try and get you to outsource. If you pick up, and the line hangs up right away, it was because there was not a rep in queue available for the sales pitch.
Henry 2010-05-11 15:52:09 Unknown
Outsourcer to India.
Mia 2010-05-03 18:01:20 Unknown
Telemarketer, outsourcer, sales pitch.
Jack 2010-03-17 13:20:07 Unknown
This number calls me on a weekly basis. It is an outsourcing vendor to India.
Mike 2009-08-25 15:23:01 Unknown
Of coarse it was a telemarketing call... if not your phone was a wrong number (mistake). Don't you hate it when you dial a wrong number and the person calls back immediately or later when the get home to request who you were and why u called.
Those people are psycho! However, there is something even more pathological to write about it after like those above.
NY reader 2009-08-11 15:04:21 Telemarketer
Received a call from 919-233-6200. Did not recognize the number so did not answer. Caller left no message. Google reveals this number as Syntel in Tennessee. I do not have any business with Syntel nor contacts in TN so I assume this is an unwanted telemarketing call.
Andy 2008-11-24 19:36:26 Unknown
I answered their call last week. SYNTEL is an outsource provider for back-office operations (at least that is how they presented themselves to me). It sounds as if they are operating a call center out of India.
