I actually answered one of the dozens of times this number appeared on my caller ID. It was the News and Observer trying to sell subscriptions.

they call three or more times a day and never leave a message. If you call the number, there will be no answer.

Get calls often from this number and they never say anything. Everytime I call back it doesn't even ring

They call and call and call. Never any mssgs. So annoying, so frustrating. Being on the DO NOT CALL LIST isn't working in this case. >sigh<

I think I've gotten a call from them before, b/c they left me a voicemail that sounded like this: (some sort of accent, similar to a Spanish-speaking or Asian-language-speaking English-as-a-second-language person, I couldn't tell if it was male or female) "Hellooooooo" in a tone of "hellOO why aren't you answering MY call?!" Then 5 seconds of silence and the voicemail was over.

Received three calls from this number today, each with no message. Picked up the last call and got silence for 3-4 seconds before being disconnected. Return call states that it is disconnected.

I received a call from 919-278-7660 and when I tried to call back, I received the following message:
"Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you have called has been changed or disconnected."

I also received a call from this number around 10:00am today. When I picked up to answer, I just heard silence on the other end, although when it was ringing I looked at my caller ID multi-line phone and it had 000-278-7660, and when I later went to look at my cordless phone caller ID, it was 919-278-7660.

Just answered this call. Silence. Came to my cell and didn't appear to hang up for some reason. I shut the phone down completely. Weird.

No VM -just recorded silence... Since CallerID comes up as the generic "CityName State" (in this instance, "RALEIGH NC"...) just figure it for a spoofed number from a robocaller, and am putting here for reference- if it comes up again on caller ID I can search it here and add to anything I find out...
In fact phone is ringing almost immediately after; another generic caller ID now that may tie in. Caller ID is "Phone" !!! and is an out of local vicinity area code. No VM at all... Well this is the place to search that new number !-)
