I want this man STOPPED! He keeps harassing me.

SSDD Stands for Same Scam Different Day except I'm not a business.  When they realized they'd called a cell phone they hung up.  Basically this number and its affilliates need to be reported by every small business owner to the BBB Especially so they will quit harrassing not only cell users but business owners

I also received harassing phone calls from Public Yellow Pages.com.  It was to be free advertising site.  They called stating we needed a cancellation number, transferred me to another department, person refused to give me a cancellation# without an invoice charging me  $599.00.  They would like my voice on tape agreeing to receive this invoice for services rendered.  I explained this was free and there should not be a charge.  Public Yellow Pages person continue to say I need a cancellaton# to cancel or else I will continue to be charged.  I live in Florida. Person calling also sound like he was from India.; but he was calling from Arlington, Texas - the number is (682)300-2403., a non working #.  Any suggestion you have, please advise, can anything be done.  If anyone knows of a REAL Phone # for this company, please advise.

They will probably follow up and send you a bill and repeatedly send you bills.  They have been bugging me for three months and even played the "recorded message"  for me but ended it by cutting off the end of the message when I started questioning who they really were.  They initially made me believe they were the "real" yellow pages with whom I do a lot of advertising.  After I started to question them, they ended the conversation quickly and hung up.  I talked to my attorney and he said not to pay the $599.99 invoice and send them his name and information and have them contact him.  That's my next step. Hopefully this will end the harassment from them.

So what happens if you are dumb enough to say YES your are authorized to receive the invoice? I did that. I feel like an idiot now. Can they somehow manipulate this into my company or me being legally responsible for paying for this?

They are a well-documented hoax and are very aggressively selling fake business listings and doctoring voice recordings from phone calls to splice together a phony authorization.

I just recieved a call from 989-796-4494 telling me I had  been using this service for 2 years and that I owed them money------- my business does not work for the public and they had me listed as under pool service-----NOT!   THIS is a SCAM!

I received a few calls from 919 259.5045 Brad Williams ID# 5063 stated that I had a free listing with www.publicyellowpages.com for 2 yrs; 1 yr was free & 2nd yr costs $599.00.
They were sending me an invoice for $599.00 but had the option of cancelling next year.I never advertised with them!Sounds like a call from India. I hung up,numerous calls followed.Who are they??

Recieved a call stating they were from Yellow Pages and were vairifing a cancellation. Wanted me to pay $599.

Six calls over two days - let all go to the voice mail (which now is set to 2 minutes to pickup). I may toy with them and keep saying no over and over again, just to annoy. Or perhaps a string of obscenities.

They call daily.  Nobody ever seems  to be on the other end of the line.  Hopefully, they have a recording device running because I always give them a nice slew of choice words and phrases (yet they continue to call).
Avoid saying "yes" to any of these type of callers.  They record it and manipulate it into you agreeing to whatever scam they try and run on you.

In broken english this woman told me someone here had requested to cancel our online yellow pages ad, which was coming up to renew for the next year at $599.  I told her, yeah, we'd like to cancel that, I gave her our address so she could send us something in writing and she transfered me over to "quality control," who asked me if I had authorization to accept this "final invoice," I said no (luckily) and she hung up on me.

This guy had to speak to to owner, once I said is this qwest yellow pages he hung up.

Same deal here saying I owe for a previous year of Yellow Pages ($500) but I had fun with the girl on the phone totally made her think I was about to pay for it over the phone but kept asking questions and had her on the phone nearly and hour while I was playing a video game hahahaha.

We receive a call daily from this number and no one is saying anything, so I called and the number says it is no longer in service.

I've started getting multiple calls today from this number, female caller on the line claiming to be some sort of financial services.  Unfortunately, they are calling my cell # and I was in a weak signal location the one time I chose to answer.  The other times they called, I was "on the other line" with a paying customer, which always trumps an unknown caller even if their phone # shows up on caller ID. They never leave a message, and the number when called back says "not a working number", as has been reported by other users on this site already.

Based on what I've read from other users on this site, I guess I'll simply program my phone to shove this # straight to Voice Mail & not bother ringing at all.

This number has been calling me several times a day regarding cancelling my yellow book advertising.  I have repeatedly told them to take me off their call list.  The woman just told me that they were not trying to sell me anything but my account was going to be cancelled... I told her she was a solicitor and to take me off their call list - she hung up on me.

received a call from this number. The person on the phone had Indian accent. Said she was calling to confirm cancellation from yellowpages.com When I asked when I made such request, she said two weeks ago. I knew we didn't have a listed with yellow pages, so i told her to wait while i go on there to find the listing. When I couldn't find it and told her, she hung up. When I dialed the number back, it said the number is not in service.

Someone just called from this number and stated they were from AT&T yellow pages and said they were verifying that we called to cancel our ad.  I told them to hold on why I verified and when I went back to that line they had hung up.

There is no yellow pages. This is just a company that uses that term to bilk money out of you.

BTW, "yellow pages" is a generic term like "phone book." Anyone can use it, for any purpose.

Just got a call from this number. No one was on the line it seemed. Called the number back and they said it's not a working number. I wonder if they use Skype and mask the number?

Answered the phone, no one there, said Hello again, some guy says, may I speak to your manager.  I said well you can talk to me since I'm the only one here. He didn't say anything and hung up. (really, there are other people here, but I'm the only one authorized to use this phone.  I work from home.)

Got a call from this number, they said they were calling to confirm my cancellation of my yellow page add.  Told the guy I didn't have services with their company, therefore I shouldn't have a bill.  He said he would send me the documentation I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor.  Supervisor got on phone and I told him I did not have a contact with them, never asked for their services therefore could not owe them anything.  They hung up on me

They just called they are persistant, and very annoying.

They called 12/16/11 saying they couldn't cancel the yellow pages subscription until I authorized the final invoice of $99. I said I was not authorizing any invoice, he said then he could not cancel the subscription. I informed him that was not my problem and I wasn't paying him anything. Eventually hung up on him. India accent. When I called the number back got the "disconnected" recording.
