i have recieved a number of calls from this number, i just called it back to have a recording say it is not in service...

that number is not real, but indicates a call from IBM in RTP, NC. You cannot call it.

The number "919-381-1117" is used to route all outgoing calls from the IBM NC RTP site.  If this shows up on your caller ID, it is likely someone from IBM trying to reach you OR someone in the IBM dialed your number by mistake. Unfortunately, you can't call back unless the calling party left his direct calling number.

its an RTP IBM exchange number. Some-one who knows you must have called from inside of the site. There is no marketing or other stuff in there.

received a call and when tried to call back got the message the # was not in service

You received a call from an IBM employee in RTP, NC.  9193811117 is one of the numbers that the PBX uses when dialing out.  Dunno why they can't make it map to the employee's real number.

got a call from that number too.  cannot call back.

This number is an out sourcing number for IBM. If you received it more than likely it is someone from the RDU location.

I just received a telephone call from 919.381.1117 at 3:08pm (Eastern), yet they did not leave a message.  I tried to call back, but also received the message that the number was no longer in service.  What is the deal?

Rcved call and called back. Told number was not in service.07//7/08. If the number is not in service then how did the call get placed?

the # is assigned to Raleigh, NC.
