December 17th. Somebody called from this number several times on my home and cell phone, when i called back there was a msg running that the call can not be completed as dialed.

The caller gave me the address of my employer, to confirm and asked if a Mr.X worked there and his title. Mr. X is the CEO of the company where I work. The caller had a thick accent. The number also showed up as "Int'l call"

This number didn't show up, but, the guy said he was from ALR Financial, Inc. and that if I sent him $500 today on an "old debt", he would stop court action and clean up my credit.  He said he was making a one-time offer to settle the debt from $3,100+ to $500.  All I needed to do was give him my banking information right away, and he would take care of it for me.  He told me that my BK had been denied and that I was going to be taken to court on this debt.  I had him send me an e-mail with the details, which he did.  I forwarded it to my attorney.  He told me the guy was a scammer and it was a good thing I checked with him before I did anything.  Don't give these guys anything!!!!  They are lying scumbags.

I just got a call from this number, and it was my husband. He was using Skype, and normally 'unavailable' or 0001234 (or something similar) shows up. He said he hadn't done anything different (like gotten a Skype number). We live in Raleigh, and that's where he was calling from. Interesting!

This number just called my cell phone.  I did not answer and cannot get anyone when I call back.  I think they called my home number recently too.  I'm going to email the NC Attorney General's office to report it, just in case.  This sure smells like a scam.

I just rec'd a call from 919-424-0251 and a message was left by a "Tony Baretta" he also gave another number for me to call of 888-500-1013. He said it was very important that I call back, I googled his name and Raleigh NC since the number he called from was Raleigh NC and I got these comments. I am glad I did NOT call back! There are alot of SICKOS and scams out there, so always TRUST your instincts, you have them for situations like this :)

Calls, leaves no message

They just called me and I was about to answer is cause the area code is where I live, but the caller ID said Int. Number and this made me hesitant.
I didn't answer and they didn't leave a voicemail.

This number showed up on my phone when a friend in Canada called me via Skype. I was curious why a local number showed on caller ID. The postings on Aug. 12 by "cr" are correct.

919-424-0251 called my german cell on the 7th and 17th of jan 2009, every time i pick up somebody hangs up. I guess they are not only calling u.s. numbers but also german cell phones.

I just had a call from this number, it's some foreign bill collector but the same guy called last week from an 800 number. I've asked them not to call me at work and that when I get off work I will call them back to discuss the problem. I've explained to them no matter if they call me at work I can't talk to them about anything any way because while i'm in my office i'm right across from my boss and well you know how that story goes. Anyway when I try and call after work there is no answer.

Very thick accent. Stumbled over words. Wanted to help with getting stimulus money. Obviously a scam.

hmm just got a call from this number as well soon as i answered, instant hang up. After reading this i think i am going to set my PBX (phone system) to call from several of my blocked ID phone numbers on a continual basis and set the ring # at about 300 before it hangs up and calls back.

A Chinese woman from Sprint calls me very often. Is this legit? On my cellphone it says "919-424-0251", then a "0".

I just got a call from 919-424-0251 saying he was calling from the UK about a yorkie I was trying to adopt. The guy had a deep accent and said that he wanted me to pay the shipping for the dogs but the article was listed for Greensboro... it is a SCAM to buy puppies be careful!!

they called  me claiming to be with AT & T offering a special $10.00 rebate for being a good customer.  I had to finally just hang up, he didn't want to take no for an answer.

Called leaving no message. It is not possible to reach this number when I am calling back.

they called my verion cellphone but left no message. When i called back, a Verizon greeting message saying cannot reach this number. (not sure the verizon greeting is from my cellphone carrier or from the desination phone carrier)

I got this call too but wasn't home, so it is just on caller id. I see these reports started a month ago--must be a new scam. Guess the scammers think we're more likely to pick up--or report to authorities-- a call from intl. number--how ridiculous. Just because that's the name doesn't mean it isn't a NC number.

i got a missed call, tried calling back and call never completes, not sure who they are

just figured it out, I got overseas call from a friend. i think it terminated on a local number or local gw via voip, which in turn sent it out to me over pstn and that pstn # can only send calls out and is not configured to take inbound calls thats why if you call 919 424 0251 you'd get a reorder tone. so its not a scam but a local termination in raleigh area for some int'l incoming calls

every time we answer the phone the caller hangs up... and when we dial it back a verizon wireless operator speaks of the caller being unavailable..

called twice, didnt leave a message, every time i call back the call is rejected or does not complete.
