Started getting the calls a few days back.  Calling for my son. Related to his vehicle which of course isn't his vehicle...is registered to me, is insurred to me....  The only connection between the vehicle and my son is NCSU Parking.  Makes me think that NCSU has a security breech.  Personal informaiton has apparently be compromised and anyone with parking information at NCSU could be at risk.

called at 7:10pm last night, no message. I am NOT NC state alumni but have only had my number for five years.

College students working internships for the school asking for money for minority scholarships.  Started with a "small" $500 request then when I kept saying I contribute in other ways he worked his way down to "$18.77 in honor of the year our institution was founded"...this day and age you can never give people money over the phone.  I told them to send letters/email to have a better chance at not looking like a scam... GO STATE

I am an alumni and I received a call from this number as well. Immediately recognized the 919-515 portion, as NC State. I prefer email or mail, if anyone from the NCSU Alumni association ever read this.

I received a call from this number and if you went to State you'll recall that 919-515-xxxx is a campus number. Like others have mentioned, it's probably the alumni association asking for money. I just got something in the mail from them asking for money.

Well, they called at 1854Hrs Central on Memorial Day.... that's just crass... and I'm an Alum, but I'm also a veteran. Apparently, etiquette went out the door with us Old School types.

I'm an NCSU alum as well and received this call.  They have called several times and never left a vm.

It seems to be a NCSU number. They hung up after I answered and the number was busy each time I called them back. Feb. 27, 2012.

NSCU asking for money

Same thing, called and didn't leave a message.  (919)515-xxxx is a NCSU campus number, but they called on a Sunday afternoon?? Makes me suspect an automated call.

I have received 2 misseds calls from this number without a vm and was wondering the same thing...

I recognized the area code and the exchange immediately as a "NCSU" on-campus number but when I called it back, it just rang and rang (call duration 0:51)

I've gotten the same, called and didn't leave a message.  Have received 3 other calls from the same number except the last two digists have been different and I think it is NCSU alumni asking for money.
